Neal Gabler paints a somewhat jaundiced portrait of longtime Disney man Ben Sharpsteen in his recent bio. If you haven't read it, do. It's excellent, and watching these videos is a great way to accompany reading the book.
Werner von Braun appeared on the "Disneyland" television series, and he was a consultant on Tomorrowland and on the episodes pertaining to space travel. The show was instrumental in the formation of NASA and in winning public support for a manned flight to the moon. President Eisenhower, in fact, ordered special viewings of "Man in Space," "Man and the Moon," "Mars and Beyond," and "Eyes in Outer Space."
Wow, there is Conrad Hall filming on the Galapagos Islands. I worked with him on a Civil Action. He was the Director of Photography. He was a great and innovative Cinematographer. What he accomplished in film has been extremely influential. Cinematographers around the world have been influenced by Conrad. He filmed my favorite all time film Cool Hand Luke. It was incredible for me to have spoken to him about Cool Hand Luke. He was also very fricken cool. RIP, dude
Walt was responsible for many inventions we use in life today. Such as, the camera that searches in tiny quarters of the human system was first used to film the nesting place of ants.
Just think, by 1980 we'll be flying around in atomic-powered heli-cars and Lunar-nauts will be living in domed cities on the Moon. What a wonderful life of ease and convenience awaits us in the World of Tommorrow!
I feel sorry for Disney, because Russia sent the first spaceshift before the US. As well, Louis Armstrong eventually landed on the moon, and we've found that mars is inhospitable to living things.
@disneygeek1961 Wow.... you were a Kid!! That must have been fun. ahh to grow up with Disneyland. Wait. Disneyland will never be finished. We all grow up with it !!!!
Gosh it used to be Good old hard work that made a GOOD Living Back then. But now we are soo relyant on technology were all going to end up like the Fat People on Wall-E
@club33az i grew up watching Disney films thinking like everyone else that they were harmless and wonderful. it wasnt until i was older and examined them that i realized they are full of terrible things not suitable for children. they are traumatizing. i wouldnt let my children watch it. the archetypal portrayals and underlying messages are actually shocking when you take an objective look. it is adult programming (violence, misogyny, sexuality, etc) packaged in a way that panders to children.

This show took place when nature was amazing and wasnt ruined by man kind.
I'm glad that bull is having fun and not being tortured for the amusement of others!
I don't think that bull is enjoying it at all.
1:34 that Tortoise is probably still alive lol.
Watching Ward Kimball expound on space travel is a hoot. His qualifications: uh, he was a longtime Disney animator. Go figure.
This is too neat!
I think The Bull Doesn't Enjoy it. 05:24 Well I guess its another time... dont want to frighten the people back home.
Those guys are gettin OWNED by that bull! xD
Big up to Ward Kimball

"The bull gets just as much "fun" out of it"? ... with spears sticking out of it? Cruelty. End of.
Before ',Star Wars" and "Star Trek", there was"Tomorrowland ".
Why is Part 3 in UA-cam Kids?
why didnt he tell the whole story about bullfighting. it would scare the crap out of kids. eheheh
"fun for the bull" yeah right...
