"Against The World" - Team USA at the SuperMoto Of Nations

- MXPTV, in association with Eyeball Moto, follow Team USA on their journey to their first SuperMoto Of Nations event ever at Circuito San Martino Del Lago in Cremona, Italy. Follow team riders Johnny Lewis, Monte Frank, and Gage McAllister and team manager Jay Kliger as they prepare for the event and track their results in Italy.
France won the 2014 SuperMoto Of Nations grabbing 2 out of 3 race wins. USA finished out 15th overall with 1 top 10 race finish (Gage McAllister - 9th).

Great to see you guys coming over here and representing. It was sad to see the guys after the race. These things happen and performing in a race on a bike you have had very little practice on is tough. You guys did great.
Racing in Europe is night and day to racing in the USA. Riders,Tracks are way faster and bigger..But Good for USA to Represent! Better luck next year. Im sure it was a learing experience and will do better 2015!

One of the riders cited transmission issues. I often accidentally upshift shift into neutral on my Husky SM too. Throws me forward (LOL). Hey, and then when I actually want to shift into it at a stop or stoplight, I can't find it fer' nuthin'. I can only find first and second in those instances. Wonder if it's an Italian bike thing?

Why did the US team pick the Aprilia SXV bike? Was it a sponsor thing? Don't get me wrong, the SXV is the most bad-arse supermoto bike on the planet no doubt, but for competitions it's kind of a fat pig. Given how much experience US teams have with the CRF and KX motocross bikes, I'm really surprised by the bike choice for this event.

Long way to go for the USA SuperMoto sport. Europe level is too high, specially France, Italy and Spain.
this is just the same as wrc, the US national series just isn't string enough to produce world level talent, they may be good in a field where 3 riders are good, but not when the entire grid of 30 are the best from each country
+northern marine Perhaps, but this team was required to ride Aprilia twins that they had never ridden before at a new track with a substantial shortage of funding. AMA supermoto is comprised of almost exclusively japanese singles with some KTM and Huskys in the mix. Tough to compete given the tools they were given. Here's hoping they get a standard bike with some time in the saddle and some track time that is usefull.
lol all this hate is pathetic, let us go to america and compete in drifting, drag racing or nascar... lol eerywhere has their strengths . they came and raced thats what matters, now they learn and adapt hopefully

Yeah,that was good practice.good luck next,well it seems you guy went there completely in the dark,unfamiliar with almost all,so learn,I just getting into Supermoto because I am Supermoto,my greatest love is a tie between supercross and AMA Superbike racing,sometimes stuff motocross in there.But motocross is getting a little out of hand.but yes I don't no why you'll don't road race line those fast sweepers,hard brake tite turns yeah kick the wheel out,ok,but as long as your on pavement,get on top of peg,weight and make that thing turn,unless your tires have gone away,c'mon fast for sure,and you should get tire life...I first started looking at Supermoto,as dang this looks like fun,but now the world wants to race,oh really,get back here cause de French are coming...and I will do this alone,but we need your help.SX RR MX and stir...
