      Edit nvm you answered my question in the vid :) I'm assuming in Northern Qld being tropics they would grow all year round?

      Yes they do😁 Even an overnight quick pickle is fantastic!

    Hi Deb, 1st time on your site, just because I searched for cucamelon. I email myself vids I'd like to find again. There is always a description in the subject heading, but your video doesn't have that, I don't know if you are aware. Loved all the info🙂 Are the leaves edible by any chance?
    I'm in Tucson Arizona US by the way.
    We are a usda zone 9a desert. Do you happen to know how they fare in the desert. We have summer "monsoons".

    • @vintagefoodfarm
      @vintagefoodfarm  8 місяців тому

      Lol😂oops😁I will look at that ASAP😊thanks!!!! As for eating the leaves I have heard differing opinions over the years so we don't. We also have a ridiculous amount of edible greens so I've never really had too 😊So happy you liked the video!!! Thanks for the heads up and have a great day!!!

      @@vintagefoodfarm Do they overwinter for you. What zone are you in?

    • @vintagefoodfarm
      @vintagefoodfarm  8 місяців тому

      We don't have zones here but we are in the tropics. Yes we have fruit in winter. I leave some fruit to drop off and self seed to keep them going😁

    How many seeds/plants did you sow/plant or is that one single vine?

    • @vintagefoodfarm
      @vintagefoodfarm  3 місяці тому +1

      Hi! I only planted a few seeds. Like 10 i think. They then grew and dropped fruit which grew etc etc. There are now many many plants. They are great because they just look after themselves and we have endless cucamelons 😁🍈🍈🍈🍈It's such an amazing food. We couldn't live without them now😁
