Can't beat having friends like Donovan.
I think Donavon built a house on the property and Matt doesn't know it yet 🤣. He seems more like family now though
Matt,, it’s been a real pleasure following along in your adventures for all these years. It has been entertaining and informative. At this point, I was struck, realizing how far you have come so fast. You are a good guy and a smart guy. You maintain your sense of humor consistently through good times and trying situations alike. I look forward to following along through your future endeavors and adventure’s. Thanks.
Thank you so much!
Matt, the Ray Romano of wood! 😊
I feel like Donovan is going to make it onto your family Christmas card this year - he’s been such a big part of your life! Congrats on consolidating your work spaces, can’t wait to see how the barn comes together.
Nice move. Direct burial to the transformer next/inside the barn for three-phase power to power the machinery. Lots of machinery/lighting options.
The relief in being surrounded by all your stuff at “Cremona Acres” must be immeasurable!
The level of precision from Donovan with the forklift is amazing to witness
What a weight off your shoulders, move is finished, no more driving to go to work.
So happy for you.
Thank you!
Donovan is a friend I would keep close and is one I wish I had. Today not many people are as good friend as he is especially these days. Donovan and you have good chemistry cause you have similar interests and both are smart and innovative. I like seeing you two doing projects and hope to seeing you guys do more projects.
The tele-handler is very useful and practical in many ways, moving, barn building, and even moving logs. Having everything on site is much more accessible and time saving.
Matt.... I too, like Roland Harrison, over the last couple of years, have thoroughly enjoyed and look forward to each and every video. I have recently have been picking through your huge video back catalogue and must say that the quality of production, content, consistency and wealth of information you contribute are second to none. You are an inspiration to all with your honesty, humour, transparency, encouragement and willingness to share not only your wonderful family, but so much of your knowledge and experiences. Just wanted to say thanks & cheers from Ottawa Canada.
Thank you so much!
You have done a great job with the move. I wish you all the luck with your future
Thanks!
Wow! I can see the relief on your face to have that move complete. That was a major operation.
With winter nipping at our ankles especially.
Well done, gentlemen!
Glade the weather cooperated and everything went ok. Congratulations on the move.
Thanks!
For the bandsaw, maybe that's something that could be addressed when you add the lean-to on the outside. You could actually inset the base of the saw into an indentation in the concrete. You could add roll shutters or folding doors to the area around the saw to protect it from the elements but open it up to not impede working on it.
slideable standing platform is all he will need
Matt: you and Donovan are stunningly competent. I like that. You guys had a very long and productive day.
One thing that a lot of shops do, especially in front of machines where you would be standing in front of it on concrete all day: Would be to throw down pallets for you to walk on; It allows you to have that spongy flex of the boards below your feet, which is good for your back and much nicer on your feet all day. My point is that you could do this near that saw, and it would give you a little boost in height, to account for that saw being so tall. Just a thought; It's common practice in machine shops.
Thanks goodness for Donovan and nice weather, I know that is a relief.
It's coming along nicely Matt!
Thanks!
Move out of warehouse-CHECK! I can only imagine how much of a relief that is for you, but it’s good to see that your stuff is now all at the farm site and not several miles away. Not sure if it matters or not, but when I setup our 10,000 pound shelves in the storage unit I added some pine boards to the bottom legs of one shelf and some oak to the second one to spread the load on the floor. The compression and bending strength of both is similar, but the yellow pine is actually a little higher than red oak, not to mention a less expensive. I screwed the bottom of the shelve legs to 2x6 boards that were 4 inches longer than the shelf stand and that helped spread the load of the shelves on the floor, which also gave the shelf a slightly larger footprint at the same time for added stability.
No one and nothing broken, great move, congratulations Matt.
Thanks!
Well done, you & Donovan did a good job now you can breathe 😊
Donovan is like the best friend ever!
That's got to be a huge relief to have the move done! Looking forward to seeing the barn space come together!
Thanks Steve!
Getting something off your mind, that keeps you awake, and bothers you is a great feeling - makes for a great relief. Congratulations Matt ...
You are going to have such an amazing setup once you get things operational. So much better for you, no more running here and there. It is all at home and will give you so much more time to work on what you do vs the back and forth you used to do.
Exciting stuff Matt. I’m thoroughly convinced there’s nothing you and Donovan can’t do together!
Matthew as your name assures you are most definitely blessed with a marvelously gregarious positive endearing personality!!! Thank you for sharing your life with us!!!
Greetings from the BIG SKY. Nice barn you made. I don't care what you say, moving sucks for me. Focus time.
Great job!! That blue workstation looked familiar. I spent 15 years working for an electronics manufacturer that used those in all their facilities…nationwide! I thoroughly enjoy your videos. The interaction between you and Donovan is a hoot! Thanks for all you do!
Thanks!
Congratulations on a good move.
Matt, you are a very lucky guy to have such a handy and hardworking friend like Donovan. Of course, most of it is due to your positive attitude toward things.
You and Donovan did a great job moving (loading and unloading). I was holding my breath a bit when the telehandler forks were lifting the slab-surfacing table, but no worries! Nice that the weather cooperated (no snow or rain). I'm sure this move has lightened the load on your mind. Excellent work.
Thanks!
Great job matt I've moved workshops myself it's not fun.
I know you are relieved...That headache is resolved. Is great to have a friend like Donovan.
Now that you are almost done with the move I'm pretty sure your stress levels have dropped a little bit at least. It will be nice once you have everything moved and moved in to you new space and have it all set up the way you want and you can start getting back to your word working. Looking forward to that I'm sure. One thing you can do when you do start getting your giant band saw up and running. When you build the base for the band saw you could build a platform out around it that you could stand on and walk on to what ever height makes it more comfortable for you to work with the saw. Really glad for you that you are one step closed to getting back to your wood working.
Thanks!
Its funny im from Ireland and was searching ICF building because i planned to begin the process of deciding how i wanted to build my house and i found your first basement video from your house. fast forward many many months later and here we are im still watching your videos haha. Keep up the good work
Congratulations on the move, leaving warehouse space behind and moving forward with your next phase!
Thanks!
It’s appreciated the incredible ambition, thoughtfulness, effort and skill involved to DO not only what’s presented in these uploads but to further recognize all the production side what amounts to camera/sound gear, shooting video, problem solving and editing.
Evolving as a one man production crew that’s also the ‘star’, host, creative director, fabricator, talent, financial dept., transportation, battery charging specialist, labor, family man and lead technician is no small feat! Good work!
thanks Jeff!
At last a hectic day with all the mob n demob..Soon after you can relax on a differently background having all the space to yourself. Such satisfaction..enjoy..
The added benefit of moving now rather than later is not having to do it in the middle of a Minnesota winter, not to mention not having to pay rent. I am looking forward to you getting that radiant heat in the floor going. That makes me jealous.
Good job! getting a layout for floor space is a royal pain. Take care ,be safe always moving things have a way of the old saying shit happens!
Really nice old bandsaw, looking forward to seeing it come to life, with a attached sled for resawing. Congratulations on being free of a lease, and getting everything at one location. Y'all take care.
Thanks!
You got your stuff out of the warehouse. Now the fun begins getting your new place organized. Me I would draw up a placement plan as to what would be the most efficient way to set everything up for the most comfortable layout for working for you.
Yep,draw up a placement plan and put the tools there and then in a few months do it all over because you didn't get it quite right the first time. All of this because a shop is always going to change as you find better ways of getting your workflow to fit your needs.
But overall, a big relief I am sure to have everything where he can get it working and save time driving back and forth between shop areas.
Looking forward to seeing it all up and working.
@@richardrodgers1883 yes that's the way it goes whatever you're working with.
The old bloke comes in handy, well done Donovan. Your a good mate.👍
congratulations on the move what a relief for you
Hi Matt love watching you need more Dave from uk
I’m so happy for you Matt you have come a long way since I started watching you videos…😊

Phenomenal job. Hard work but well worth it for peace of mind.

What a blessing to have that telehandler! Congratulations on the move!
Thanks!
It all looks right to me. Congratulations.

Hi Matt. Thanks for the great video again. Wow I bet you are so glad to be out of the old space and into your new future work space right next to your home. What a big transition for your business. Your a super nice guy Matt and you have worked hard for it. Wishing you and your family a great future and I bet this Thanks Giving is going to be an epic one. Best regards. Adrian UK
Thank you!
wow,,lot of work there...i got tired just watching,,ill bet your glad thats over,,,you two are great guys..i like watching..those racks are nice..lucky you got these lifts to unload everything..great video Matt...glad your moved..
Congrats on completing the move. I understand as I hate moving too. Very happy for you with the success and what you’ve achieved. I know it has to have been a ton of work. 😊
Thank you!
Congratulations Matt. on your move
Thanks!
congratulations on the move!
Congratulations
Donavan is a prince among men, and a great friend as well. KUDOS to both of you.
Matt, I am glad to see you have the building done enough to move in to.
Great teamwork on the move. I'm glad you're moved in into your own space. Looking forward to see how you organize your stuff!
Thanks!
Back in the 80s I worked in a aluminum foundry and they had a big Tannewitz saw used to remove risers and the like from newly cast products which were often a foot thick. That saw was awesome and very intimidating to use but WOW could it cut.
Now that "the move" is DONE, what are you gonna replace it with to worry about? Gotta be a huge relief, but always something new to take it's place... right?
CONGRATS on getting everything located at your new property!
Matt when your pushing a pallet with a pallet jack, let the handle be straight up and down you can get more leverage pushing the balance and steer turn the handle to steer.
good job guys
Well done great move completely nearly done
Congratulations on finishing the Cremonarium! It's where you resurrect dead trees to live again as useful furniture. Truly enjoy following your journey. Wish I lived in the area to help support you in some manner. Here's something to make you shake your head, a colleague of mine cut down (3) 4-5' diameter Walnut trees and ended up burning it all as firewood. No one was willing to come and pick it up. (I don't think he tried very hard.) I didn't know him at the time or else I would have taken it all!
That side-shift ability on the forklift is sure handy when loading and unloading. Makes life a little easier !!
Wow big load off the mind no doubt going to be very nice when you are all set up and working again .Well done guy's
Glad you got it moved
One thing for sure you will be home barn looks amazing, can't wait to see when it's all finished.
You are getting there.
All I can say is it looks fantastic. Glad things are coming together for you. Thanks for sharing your story and video.
Moving seems like a good move to me considering they wanted their space back (which is what this whole project was about if I remember correctly), everything is now in your backyard instead of miles and miles away, and you'll save some on rent.
Plus with all your stuff in one place it will be easier to take stock of everything and visualise exactly where things will fit so you can make a more accurate plan before you start moving in properly which is also a good move.
So basically, it's many good moves from just one move which is the best move of all.
Matt, to start, I LOVE your technical terms LOL
The barn is great. Looking forward to seeing the barn and house coming together. Have a marvelous weekend!!
Matt its always fun watching you and donavan working together ...im sure the move is great wieght off ya shoulders and will allow you to concentrate on other things, which i'm sure we will be brought along for the ride. I will look forward to your next video
no matter what !!!! stay positive
You guys made it look like clockwork it's good not having everything spread all over the country everything's on your property now Great job.
Congratulations!!! What a project, but it'll be nice!!!
Congratulations on a safe move.
Congratulations Matt! So excited for the next steps with your new space. Especially looking forward to seeing the Tannewitz up and running!
Thanks!
I love 💕 working.
I could watch the whole day.
A major plus is the fact that when you have to sort out some of that 'stuff' it is just a matter of going into the backyard, not driving all over town and then sorting and then driving all the way home afterwards ? Great to see you progress towards where you want to be with your business and thank you for taking us along with you ? All the best from Australia, looking forward to more installments of your progress.
I think your move and other life choices are on target. Others can debate the alternatives and procrastinate; but it's you're piece of mind and progress toward accomplishing life goals that really matter. 😊
Thanks!
21:45 cameras going flying seems to be a regular pattern on this channel 😁 Good thing you found it again!
Love that tannewitz, they're amazing saws
It's fun to see some "local" landmarks. I'm near the twin cities too. Also, I understand the feeling of having something on your mind for a long time. (I took the plunge today for a new table saw. :))
Cool Matthew
Wish I was there to help Matt ,this is all stuff I had to deal with as a driver you guys did outstanding bet there were a lot of working words thrown around with it
Thanks!
Unless you go through it yourself its very difficult for the viewer to comprehend and I imagine given the dynamic of the internet. there were/are those who hoped to see you fail!
Matt, never loose sight on what you have accomplished - 11 years of marriage, 3 lovely children and a lovely wife!
You found, closed and moved to new home - Success
Major home renovations - Success and On-going tweaks - Manageable
Built a new barn - Success
Moved your business premises - Success
Thank you so much!
Wow Matt. Your perspective is both encouraging but also grounded. I hope the final phases of this phase of the barn build go well and you can get everything done. I'm looking forward to every video while I go through a similar process in my basement. Moving isn't a big deal if the right perspective is maintained.
Thanks!
Wow, I didn't realize how much stuff you had in your Warehouse... Lots of stuff to move around so I am sure your so happy to get all that done finally 🥂... One less thing to worry about 🎉.. And it was nice to see Donovan around to help you with the move.... Now I'm looking forward to the next video..🙂
Thank you!
Always a ton of work moving. Looking forward to when you are able to get back to woodworking.
You and me both
The barn series has been such an entertaining journey to watch. Thank you.
Thanks for coming along
It must feel good to have all your stuff on your own land.
Whoo hoo! Congratulations, Matt! How wonderful to finally have everything back in one place again!
Thanks!
Having it all there is a *BIG* plus... and as you said, you have versatility at home compared to the warehouse. Overall, a plus plus.
That is a great looking building.
