    Yep. That's it. I bought two of these from Magic Trashman through ebay, last year.
    He is genuine, does a great job and is seriously service minded and professional.
    I hope he will make a nice little extra income from this. Treat him good, he is a valuable asset to us geeks.
    😎👍🙏❤

    Wayne thank you so much. I lost all my cables in a fire about 10 years ago and have been slowly trying to find a solution. I think your video has convinced me to bite the bullet and pick one of these up so I can actually use my GM70 and GR505 again.

      I sold out pretty fast after Wayne Joness published this review, so it will be a short while before there is a restock. My reverb shop is located at reverb.com/shop/magic-trashman

      @@magictrashman silly question : is there any way to adapt this 24 pin to "more modern" synth units? I bought a g77 roland bass I love but I wanna find a way to chain it to "regular" synths if that's possible at all. Thank you so much for your service (of not letting our gear rot in Oblivion) you are a SynthSaver!

    I made several sets about 10 years ago. The hard part was finding the appropriate pins. I used the Belden cables. My were also a friction fit. 3D printing is amazing.

    i use andre's cables, they work great... the ONE CAVEAT is DON'T LEAVE IT IN YOUR CAR on a hot day, they CAN distort a little if they get too hot. but they work great, are well built, even have a spare wire in case. works great, and he repairs them if anything goes wrong. you can also buy parts from him if you need the connectors themselves. win - win!

    Great review Wayne. Looks really nice. I managed to get a spare original from a service tech at Roland UK long before the prices went silly but if I need a replacement this looks the business. I'll post the video on the G-707 Facebook page, along with a link to the seller.

      I'm very sorry I'm currently sold out Mats Jonason, I'm working on producing more cables but I'm waiting on a resupply for the cord material. Hoping to have a restock by mid to late July.

    Wayne: are you aware, or maybe even the maker of THIS multi pin, that makes the same replacement for a Korg Z3? I’ve been desperately hoping to find one, or at least a schematic, for DECADES! Help! Please!🙏🏼🤓

    • @WayneJoness
      @WayneJoness  4 роки тому +2

      You could use this with the Z3, with any Roland guitar. If you are using this with the ZD3, the connection is going to be a little tight at the ZD3.

      WayneJoness 👍🏻Thanks Wayne.. But, it WILL work? Both at the ZD interface & to the Korg Z3 rack? Can you tell me where & roughly how much? (FYI, the original issue was just that the high E string not triggering, but also, the cable’s “sleeve” had been looking compromised since purchasing new. Could see the color coded wires inside the outer casing. Knew it would one day be a problem.
