Thank you for this video Craig, all of your content is super helpful!
Thanks for the nice feedback and for watching the videos.
Just bought the Quiizlab UH25 Pro to match up to my Mac Mini. Thanks Craig for a very nice recap!
Thanks for watching. Mine has been working good for basic storage.
very interesting, as always, thank you Craig!
Thanks again. Those work pretty good if you need some basic storage.
Sweet review. I just bought one for like 90 bucks. Great product. Need to buy some storage tho. Would you recommend a 2.5hdd or nvme.?
Do you always use the hub with an external power source, and if so, which USB power adapter do you use? Thanks for the video.
I don't always use the power adaptor, I would say most of the time I don't use it at all.
I bought one and everything works well but not the SD card reader ???? It, doesn't mount on my desktop ???? Could you help ?
You may need to format the SSD card. There should be a ton of videos on that process on UA-cam if that helps but I'm guessing maybe the SSD card needs to be formatted to work on a Mac.
Hello, my only doubt about buying the HUB is that when you put the Mac to "sleep", the SSD unit disconnects and reconnects, filling you with messages. Has that happened to you?
I have not had that issue but a few people have said they did.
Is the only difference between the Pro and this version: Qwiizlab USB C Hub with Dual Drive Enclosure, Docking Station for Mac Studio Mac Mini M2/M1/Intel, Type-C 10Gbps, Card Readers 100MB/s, Fits M.2 NVMe NGFF SSD & 2.5'' SATA SSD. the number of ports? The main reason I ask is because the Pro would take three weeks longer to deliver to me than when I receive my Mac mini, whereas the latter version would arrive within a day or two after receiving my Mac mini.
Hello Bob, I would compare the two models on Amazon. I only reviewed this version so I don't want to provide you with any incorrect information. Thank you for watching.
Looks awesome. I guess an NVME drive would never heat if it operates under 1000mbps. Is this hub made of plastic or aluminium? Asked because you mentioned it does scratch up easily.
Thanks for watching. It's a very thin aluminum but has a coating or something that can scratch if you move items across it. Nothing crazy but just something to look out for.
@@craigneidel Thanks for the review man! Now that SSDs have become way cheaper and blazing fast with Gen 4, its high time someone came out with a hub like this with a 40 gbps Thunderbolt 3 connectivity.
I don't use mine with the mac mini either. It works great with a 24" iMac
Thanks for watching Bradley.
It does not read my m.2 drive
I haven't had any issues. Maybe ask them if that model is compatible.
Also make sure it's formatted for a mac
Thanks. I was able to figure out Andy now it's working. Appreciate your input.
I don't understand the storage limitations for the disks though. Max 2 TB for an NVME? So weird.
I didn't have any larger disks to test so larger ones could work. I would review the Amazon page of questions.
