𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘧𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘯𝘥𝘴! 💖 today, we're building in tomarang for the first time! i'm building shophouses in the downtown area, which are buildings with both commercial and residential spaces. i even included a 'karinderya' (local eatery) which was very exciting for me as a filipino 😂

hello, kumusta? (how are you?) i hope you're enjoying today's build! 💓 i wish i could have talked more about the build, but it felt very self-explanatory. i was also having a hard time talking while recording this without choking, lol. anyway, i'm planning to do some builds specific to the philippines, so i'll share more about our culture, lifestyle, some architecture details in that build. until then! 🤗
Ang ganda!!! I love this! It fits so well with the aesthetic of Tomarang. It also reminds me of some urban commercial complexes here in the Philippines. BTW, congratulations for being a part of the EA creator network 🎉

I was really looking forward to see a building from you for this pack. Besides having an amazing talent and taste for building in this game it was about time to have some more diversity on the game and nothing better than someone from the area which inspired the pack to bring some life to these lots. This is great! And your music choices fit very well with the context! I would have loved to hear you talk more about some of the kitchen deco pieces and just overall about the items in the pack. I'm from a very different part of the world so I've no clue what that tall kitchen clutter item was, for example, but I'd love to learn more! Also about the squat toilets, how common are they? I assume it's not exactly the same in each SE Asian country and you'd maybe see more western toilets where there's a lot of tourism? I'd love to see more builds that feel "typical" to this part of the world! Apartments, street market... I don't know, what would you see around there? It may seem mundane to you but for someone not from your culture every little thing can feel exciting because it's not what they're used to! (Like for me it's always fun to explain different snow activities to Japanese tourists bc they get so excited :D)

It's Philippines-specific, but still part of Southeast Asia, and it will answer some of your questions 😊 I think the only item I wasn't able to talk about in my new video was the tall kitchen clutter item. I believe you were referring to the Tiffin carriers. They are multiple-layer lunch boxes 😊

Love this! I can’t wait to see what else you’re working on for Tomarang. Having never been to Southeast Asia, I’m at a loss when it comes to building in this world. So, I’ll be filling it with your builds! If you don’t mind my asking, what is the purpose of the buckets in the bathroom? Just curious!
Thank you! The buckets were supposed to be a pail and a dipper. It's an alternative to bidets, toilet paper, or a shower. We use the dipper to scoop and pour the water for personal hygiene after using the toilet. We also use a pail and a dipper to bathe here in the Philippines 😄
@@simpolcheeks Thank you for explaining that! I was thinking it was something along those lines. One of the things I love about the Sims is the teaching and learning opportunities for different cultures. It gets us out of our own cultural bubble and helps us to understand each other better.
