My secret to charging my old SE 2020 iPhone, I would turn on my power saving mode then charge it while it was on and after it reached 80% I'd unplug it and turn power saving mode back on and finish charging it. It'd take a little less than an hour to complete doing it this way.

You are absolutely right. The Mini is for people who want to have a compact smartphone only for the most necessary things, but don't want to mindlessly scroll through social media all the time.

I had the 12 Mini and LOVED the form factor! However, the battery was horrendous and I would be anxiety just making sure I had an extra battery pack on me at all times and or a charger. I upgraded to the iPhone 14 Pro and the battery life has improved greatly. Also, the camera upgrades, speaker quality and screen quality was a nice change. I miss the 12 Mini, but not the battery by any means.

@@naseemspeachI did the same. I preface this with I carry an Android 2nd phone (Fold 4) I have an iPhone for family considerations. Everyone in my immediate circle uses an iPhone. I will say iOS is optimized perfectly for the screen size, they don’t take advantage of the larger displays with split screen like android does. What I look for in an iPhone is reliability and if I need a larger screen for anything else, I have a Samsung Fold 4 for an iPad Pro. Otherwise this phone basically gets the job done for day-to-day tasks.

I moved over as I had enough with a heavy phone, the amount of times I’m lying in bed and it’s fallen on to my face 😂 also I prefer the smaller form factor and I’m really considering the new Razr also. But I can’t seem to get out of the apple echo system

I bought my new iPhone 13 Mini just in time. The store sold out shortly after, and no more coming in. I got it with 512 GB. Had a high quality screen protector put on, an Otterbox case, and a great Agoz mil spec holster for it that fits it like a glove. With both Velcro and buckle closure for extra security. I made lots of adjustments to extend battery life, and it is the best phone I’ve ever owned. Unlocked also. Great for travel in the world. But I also carry a Sonim XP3 for backup, also in an Agoz holster made for it.
what is the battery life? and how much screen time are you getting?
@@mrhuskey5571 I get pretty well a full day of use before charging. But I do things like keep the screen a bit darker, and turn off apps running in the background if I don’t need them. I also have very few apps using location service, and do not have volume loud when watching UA-cam.
If you buy one, go online to find other battery saving tips, on UA-cam or websites.
The iPhone 13 Mini definitely has more battery life than the iPhone 12 Mini.

I bought a 512gb model new and have owned it for 1.5 yr now. At first, I thought it would be ideal to have a small phone to match my large phone. I had my big iPhone 512gb mirroring my mini as a clone. Different phones for a different attire right? Who wants to wear loose fitting shorts with a big phone? Well, I got tired of Sim card swapping and this phone is now on my mothers possession. She's 79 years old and loves it because it's so light weight. Unfortunately it has a small screen and it is not good for her eyes. I just bought her an S23 which is known as one of the lighter androids and lighter phones in general but it's too heavy for her because she is used to the mini. Keep in mind her age. I will just share this one case with your community. That being said, phones are getting heavier due to battery capacity and more tech. I think all phone manufacturers need a shift in paradigm and I wish that they would begin on focusing towards development of compact batteries, and thinner form factors. Wouldn't it be nice to have a titanium or aluminum, or carbon fiber framed iPhone, 15 promax that weighed 23g, had two day battery battery, 1/4 inch depth along w a 7 inch display? Now this would be an advancement in cellular technology worth consumers money. Phones are too heavy and too big. Mark my words, the future, and even near future, as in the next decade, we will see this shift towards thinner and lighter phones, as being the devices that commands the big bucks. The fact that Apple considers the additional mass of stainless steel for the pro model phones is, just let me be blunt here. It is stupid pure Idiocracy.

I don't have an iPhone 13 mini. I got an iPhone 12 which I kind of regret because before that I used my iPhone SE (1st generation) for 5 years and considered getting the iPhone 13 mini but I read so many complaints about the battery. So I'm still unsure if I should sell my iPhone 12 and get a iPhone 13 mini instead.
For me personally, the 6.1 inch on my 13 feels soooo comfortable. The mini is just too small for my liking. But, if someone's looking to get a secondary phone, the mini could be a good option i guess? 🤷

I am using 13 pro max rn ! And i need something compact something that fits in my pocket and the battery life something i am used to would you recommend me 13 mini ? Or if i get 14 ? I should be good ? I don’t have budget for 14 pro tho
the 13 mini, you can get it for a cheaper price and its a great secondary phone:)
I had the 13 mini and I really enjoyed it. I traded it in and got a s23 mostly because of battery. My work requires that I travel 2-3 times a month and my commute was about 5 hours in one direction. I was concerned that id end up with a dead phone in the middle of nowhere. Charging my phone while running gps would sometimes make my phone RIDICULOUSLY HOT 🔥 and my battery health declined 17% in 10 months.

Little over a year and my battery health at 90. Thinking keeping it for couple more years.
The screen is more than enough. Let’s remember that it has the same weight a the iPhone 4, with 60% more screen
Let’s also remember that the MagSafe barrier was specifically designed for the mini
I feel like my battery life isn't so bad on the iPhone 13 mini...lol but then again I'm not on my phone for hours on end...how long do you have to be on your phone to have to charge a phone MULTIPLE times a day xD
same, i have 7-9/10 hours screen time on my 13 mini and the battery lasts perfectly fine throughout the day lmao never even had to charge it twice a day too. maybe not being on auto-brightness, 5g and gps all the time would make the creators experience a little better since having all those features on isn't really necessary. especially the gps part
