A massive thank you to Gary. A few weeks back we had a power cut which affected our house alarm. The alarm engineer who was in dispute with the property builder refused to help. With Gary's assistance I managed to reset the alarm. Gary did not need to help me but did as he knew we were about to go on holiday and our property would be vulnerable without an alarm. Gary you are a very knowledgeable alarm engineer and a genuinely nice human being for helping me. Forever in debt to you.
Decca all my life I've helped people to the best of my abilities. More often than not free of charge as in this case. But you offered to send a donation to a charity of my choice which was the children's hospital in Sheffield thank you so very much. Another Great video from Garry, I reached out to Garry after seeing his video on UA-cam and sent him a message as I was having issues with my alarm system, and within half an hour he rang me back. Bearing in mind this was a Sunday afternoon, he asked me about the problem that I was having and then advised me what to do and then ring him back. Once the issue was sorted he helped me reprogram the system all over the phone whilst being calm, courteous and friendly. Can’t speak highly enough of Gerry, don’t come across many people like himself that genuinely want to help out. Would highly recommend if you need any work doing as I believe he mentioned that he’s located in Barnsley, but does work all around South Yorkshire too. All the best and thank you once again Gerry 👍

Hi Garry, I have moved into a new property. It is fitted with Scantronic 9651 and with separate Keypad 9930. Keypads buttons are broken and I can not enter password. Also, I have forgotton the Engineer password. I want to replace the keypad( same for same). I have decided to open the main system and try to go for a default reset of all passwords. My worry is that when I am going to open up the main system casing, it's going into temper mode?? Am I right? Will the system let me reset all the passwords to default passwords during temper fault mode by disconnecting the system from battery and main supply. The manual explains that by short circuit of NVM and Kick start pins I can reset passwords to default passwords. I think I can manage this if I know how to deal will temper fault issue. Also do I need to reset all the zones afyer replacing keypad or will the alarm will start working as normal after the replacement of keypad?? Please can you help me so I can replace my key pad.

Moved into a property got no code for veritas r8 I have been told the alarm has been powered down for 2 years i tried the engineers codes you showed but nothing happens just fires up the alarm box outside so had to turn the power back off.
Open the panel remove battery and mains power turn on mains while the power is returning press the main tamper spring a few times this will reset the panel providing the original engineer has not locked in the engineer code or call me 07555203296
Hi I’ve got unset and tamper flashing red and green ,plus 2 zones flashing red , none of the button on the panel are doing anything? Any ideas does it need a new battery as turning mains power of didn’t stop it
I have just changed my remote keypad, all wired correctly but when I reconnected the power the alarm is constantly sounding and will not reset, Any pointers as to what I'm missing 👍
Are you saying it won't accept your code and unable to disarm if so try 1234 or 4321 sounds like the system has reset itself if these numbers work message me I'll tell you why and what you need to do next or message me if your still having issues anyway.

Hi gary just needed some advise i have the veritas R8 alarm and keypad went faulty so replaced the keypad and showing no power on keypad, we have done test and there is power going in however showing no lights on keypad, we have two kepad one down stairs and one upstair, The upstairs one keeps flashing unset/tamper and the downstairs one that has been replaced shows no lights any advise? thanks
"NEVER set two RKPs to the same address. Keypads are factory set to Address 1. If the keypad is powered but offline (i.e. T and R not connected) it will display its address. If an invalid address is selected, the keypad will sound an error tone.
My power went off. The alarm would not go off after entering my code and reset. It then went off after roughly 30 minutes. The 24hr is illuminated red and flashing . Any ideas ? Veritas 8c

Replace the panel

Remove the front cover and find the tamper circuit and put a link of wire to close the tamper see if that works. if not let me know
