Thank you for a very good video. The video quality was excellent, the editing was very good, the framing was enjoyable and the captions were very useful. Thank you!
Quite far from the Myanmar border actually. The climate is more or less similar to the one in the mediterranean area. They grow tangerines, oranges and tea. When I was there, rapeseed was blooming.
Not an easy answer, but in my opinion it is still worth going to places like Sandaoling or Fuxin. For narrow gauge, consider Rongshan, but this is not necessarily an easy place to go.
Indeed. It has been a while since they have not carried any coal, at least on the upper part of the line. Actually this video is one of the last opportunities to see the regular transportation of coal on the line.
+hughvane The smaller the drivers the more power and torque, you sacrifice speed but in this case tonnage hauled is the goal. The same as low gear in a manual trans or look at most farm tractors and there gearing.
Yes, the new name of this railway is Jiayang Little Train, near Le Shan city in Sichuan province (PRC). My video is about this railway, when it was still carrying the local people and coal, not just tourists. Thank you for updating me about this interesting railway.
Another great trainvideo from you.
Really fantastic to see a railway like this in 2019.
Thanks to you.

i ve been a passenger of this train twice in 2013 & 2016,really amazing journey
Excellent video, thanks for posting
Great impression of this narrow gauge line. Many thanks!
What terrible looking locos with tiny wheels. I think I'm correct in saying this has now all been cut up for scrap and recycled.
@@PreservationEnthusiast this is only your opinion.
@@_dampfwolke True, but I think many would agree with me that aesthetics of this loco are terrible.
Briliant Video, I really like it!! :-)
Excellent!
So amazing.
Nice video
Lovely!
Nice look at the untouched countryside.

The Ffestiniog Railway is restoring a Narrow gauge locomotive in Great Britain
Yeah, last I heard there were still 1,000 steam locos at work in China, but I don't know what year that was, it might not be accurate

These are spectacular videos! How much mainline steam exists in total? Still worth it to go to China to see steam?
as i know ,working for commercial purpose, this is the only one exist in china
Fun facts:The official name of the Shibanxi Railway is ‘Jiayang Coal Railway’.
Indeed. It has been a while since they have not carried any coal, at least on the upper part of the line. Actually this video is one of the last opportunities to see the regular transportation of coal on the line.
It is like time-travel into 20th century. But there are no semafore signals.
Signaling is very rudimentary and using "road" red and green signals in the only station where train crossing is possible.
very cute
@1:25 - not a good time or place to have the washing out! @7:00 - such tiny driving wheels, was there a specific reason for that?

LeShan jiayang Little trail ,嘉阳小火车,四川乐山

were you on board? how much per ride?
60CNY now
cricky chucking bit of coal off.... would remind my parents of the early 1930;s in the UK
Is it still being used today?
Yes, but no longer for coal trains. A few very uncomfortable trains for local passengers and a few more comfortable trains for tourists every day.
dont hang around does it!
those poor whistles have no sound to them
