A couple days of training he started yelling about how bad ass he was, how he was the greatest warrior and that nothing was going to stop him, still weak as shit lol. K's only response to this after days of having to protect him while he "trains" was "Fucking hell Beep!"
      Another time my only character had gotten into a mess, had an injured leg and got knocked unconscious and was on the verge of getting eaten alive when a random ass herd of goats walked by and aggroed and killed everything. Literally life or death situation and saved by a herd of goats.

      Make a cart line through a water reservoir, raise it some dozen z-levels above your welcome center and then drop it down the ramp into said welcome center, have the carts derail on the right spot so the water is shot down the corridor where the invaders are coming. • @Verdiumm
    @Verdiumm 5 місяців тому

    Yeah, this one is an annoying bug.
    I think it's because the villains release wasn't finished before steam become the focus.
    If you have *any* artifact at all seems like 90% of your visitors are actually theives.
    And, in legends mode, the Artifact will have hundreds of Historical Figures "claiming from afar".
    If you seal it like you did, it seems like all the theives will just build up in your tavern forever until there is an opening to steal it.
    The only way to get normal visitors again (like pre-villains) seemed to be to just sell or let them steal all your artifacts. lol.
    You choose, artifacts, or normal visitors.
    Probably has the weight too high on this type of event or something. far too many people claiming it, and too many coming at once. no break at all.
    Hopefully it's one of the first things fixed after adventure mode is fully done again.

    One thing you can do is to set up a captain of the guard/sheriff. Put his office near the main hall, and if you keep at least one unsolved crime you can interrogate anyone. So when guests show up, queue them for interrogation. The more skilled the captain is the more likely he'll find out plots, especially the kinds where a guest agent tries to persuade someone inside your fort to steel it for the agent.
    Thus you prevent your own fort population from being punished. You can also find out some pretty wild lore about something like a guest stopped by your fort for a drink after launching a coup on a neighboring location. xD

    .... Huh .... I always assumed a bridge has to be at least 2 tiles wide for... Absolutely no reason.
    Man... I'm going to make so many death traps! Cheers!

    Awesome. I bet if you had a dwarf investigation squad interrogate some of these thieves it would uncover a wider plot tied to your world's lore. Such a great game!

    This is Dwarf Fortress. I mean, look, it's not a tantrum spiral, but it is a series of brawls stemming from an artifact created by a two year old and resulting in locking treasures behind an unbreakable drawbridge. Short of the island being surrounded by magma, it would be hard to make this dwarfier.
