Swamp Thing and Man Thing came out in the same month. They're all using the same well of inspiration the idea of monsters in the war is a pretty natural one especially when they're both representative of the Golden Age of comics.
Honestly that was the biggest deal breaker for me with the origins of the bride. It would've been better if with the scene of the scientist giving the necklace to the bride, frankenstein's monster was there and confused his creator giving the necklace to the bride as a marriage proposal as from what I gathered from the flashbacks he still looked like he's brand new to the concept of love.
@@KeyIssues don't forget that he was MARRIED and we hear NO WORD if his wife was dead at the time so this man chose to commit technical incest with a mental minor who he likely groomed and I 100% believe he set Eric up to fail
Thank you for being the first content creator I've seen to at least lampshade how weird the love triangle is. Like I'm not even talking about the fact that she's a reincarnated corpse, but obviously: ew. Bro basically RAISED her over the last year or so and then went to town? That's straight up disturbing. She was functionally a toddler on a mental and emotional scale. Disgusting stuff.
I am almost positive that the show is setting up Victor that was the true villain (or monster)of The Bride. Not that Erik is innocent in this, he's done his share of bad to her.
The Bride of Frankenstein asn't created by Mary Shelly. The monster wanted a bride but she never got made. So she was implied in the text but didn't exist until the movies.
In Shelley's novel, Victor was halfway through the process of creating a mate for the Creature, but then considered what a race of such beings might result. He destroyed his work and when the Creature discovered Victor's betrayal, his threatened "I'll be there on your wedding night!" Basically, she got partially made, then trashed before she ever got animated.
I love how dc and marvel bite off eachother then it’s up to us to decide which version of the same thing is better and it’s up to them to write better stories
I always like flirting with the idea that bride of Frankenstein is the oldest and most experienced because when she survives she is fixed with parts of deceased past members of creature commanados on every mission
Per James gunn in the dcu she needs her hands to be functional to cast magical spells and buff herself and durability. Her hands were injured and that allowed weasel to get the drop on her. Also weasel is drastically stronger than he appears.
No but frl like James has truly lost it. This Circe we ars talking about. Yes the Bride is strong but for her to body her and for the damn Weasel of all things to be able to hurt her drastically is so unreal and the fact that she is hardly fighting back is so frustrating
I remember seeing Frankensteins monster for the first time on Lego Batman 3 thinking he was this crazy hero with a sword who acted like the hulk and he’s chasing another mans dead body with sex is like weird
I hope she gets her other 2 arms eventually in the dcu. They’re a cool feature that’s visually unique and sets her apart from other female soldier types like, black widow, huntress, domino, ect…
I mean this character is cooler than all of them She can shoot she can fight and she can use super strength that is she surpasses this character That's why the bride was better in second place the first place goes to g i robot for her sacrifice The team when it was destroyed by the sorceress Circe
I have never liked love triangles and this is for what reason? Gunn isn't shying any from anything else, why is this awesome bit left for something very YA?

I think it should be Nina Mazursky.
Anyone else think it weird how both DC and marvel have military monster groups the creature commandos for DC and howling commandos for Marvel
Nah , all they do is bite off each other's style , look at how many examples there are lol I like them both to be clear :)

Ok
i mean you say that as if there isnt a 1 for 1 parallel for every superhero 😂
They've been copying each other for years
are we gonna ignore the fact that Victor straight up did incest AND necrophilia?
Ignore, no. Desperately try to forget, yes.

Ignore yes, care no, fiction yes, main focus no
It’s gross as hell. But the 1800s were wild.

I am So happy that The bride of frankenstein is getting some attention because personally I feel She got the short end of the Stick in the film

Why was there a spark between Frankenstein and his bride?
He couldn't resistor!

She honestly is my favorite character in Creature Commandos.
My favorite in the series so far have been Nina and G.I.
I always like flirting with the idea that bride of Frankenstein is the oldest and most experienced because when she survives she is fixed with parts of deceased past members of creature commanados on every mission
Bride's story is darker than Robotman from Doompatrol😢
Someone please tell me there's a really good reason Circe got bodied by a corpse, a rat and a match stick💀
Is Ares cooked if he leaves his realm?
Plot armor

Hopefully they're Dr. Phospherous's arms. That would be freaky if she just collected the parts of her dead teammates.
She can have mine
why does she have 4 hands in the comics ?
Watch the video I literally tell you
@KeyIssues I know it was meant to be a joke I probably should have thought it through better
Victor coulsve been DC's High Evolutionary
Yeah but he was banging his creations soooooooo
I like the comic version better
Can you do Avatar? I beleive there is a book too?
Brother Eye, is from OMAC of Kommand D.
I mean this character is cooler than all of them She can shoot she can fight and she can use super strength that is she surpasses this character That's why the bride was better in second place the first place goes to g i robot for her sacrifice The team when it was destroyed by the sorceress Circe
dope
I hate the romance with her and Dr. Frankenstein
Def gross
Where is the power ranking video on Agatha Harkness?
I have never liked love triangles and this is for what reason? Gunn isn't shying any from anything else, why is this awesome bit left for something very YA?
Here for badass undead women
Ok
Who's that girl holding hands with the Bride?
Her name is Cynthia. She is a witch.
@KeyIssues so is she another love interest of the Bride?
