    Great Job!!! The boost converter would add noise and ripple.

      Thanks!!!Good thing I used a strong battery and decided against it...I came real close to using one, glad I didn't

      @@njfulwider5 I really want to push using a a 4P-6S and if I pop the caps, I could always charge the battery to 4v each so 24v

      @@MrBrymstond It will handle a 6S perfectly. The only reason I did not push this one. The amp is capable at 4 ohms at 60watts per channel and 120 subs at 24V-25. That would have pushed the drivers a little over their rated specs. You just have to be careful of the amp. For example, The amp I have, there are others that look like it, but have a more generic tpa3116 board inside. That board is barely capable of 50watts per and 100 subs, but has been reported of blowing caps when maxed. I found one of them with the same board, from china. Link is in the description. If you end up purchasing, make sure to open the case once you get to make sure they didn't cheap out and give you the bad board. I had to do that 3 times before they sent me what I paid for on ebay. Seller claimed it was brand new stock and got them that way from the original company. Luckily he found me the correct board and sent it. There are good TPA3116 out there, you just have to hunt and be picky.

    first! MUuahahahah.., I used to do car audio speaker box designs and ran 2 x 15" dual voice coil (2ohms each speaker) into 750W per side amp :).. body on the car rubmled and coin flipped on the top of the car.
    grills, always put grills. look around for some nice ones that have enough room for the drive distance of the cone.
    With the amp, you can either just mount on the side, or make the box extend and have it inside the extended part with fan cooling down a channel.. though really for high power amps so overkill. but ideas.
    Also, fill the board walls inside with really dense material so it doesn't have a boxy resonant, I remember the material used to removalists that was purply colour was good stuff but there's cheap stuff that smells like potato bags is good to absorb noise and makes the sound crystal clear. you put your head in the box and scream but can't hear yourself. awesome.
    1K+ sub's congrates too you can now monotize.

      This thing is a Beast,,, Not sure if you saw the part with the grill over the holes? I have grills, Just wasn't sure if I should add them. I had to find a grill to make up for the extrusion of the Speakers. I'll probably add them. The little sneak peek video at the end....Bass was turned down to 1/4 and volume at 1/2. This thing shakes the walls when I turn up bass and volume..\\
      You should see my next Boom Box.......600ish watts x 2, using SIMP08HP as batteries...12" subs, Dayton Audio mids and Highs....One mean machine coming!!!

      @@njfulwider5 yeah saw the grills after I sent the message, I tend to update as I go along and watch the video so I don't forget or miss anything. yeah keep the grills. you don't want something to accidently punch a hole in the cone

    Did you use some kind of protection so it doesn't under charge?

      Yes the Battery Has a 5SBMS. If you watched my last video, that is the same battery I used in the build!!

    why is it that when someone is doing a build or install they show you everything but how it sounds? at least this guy showed how it sounds for literally 14 seconds of a 16 minute video, do you rerally think more people care about the build more than the sound? they dont most people just want to see what a 2.5 inch sub woofer really sounds like. if they are going to build something they are going to build there own just like you did and not follow someone elses design ideas. just sayin.

    This is a real struggle to watch with that bloody music. Is it really necessary?

    • @njfulwider5
      @njfulwider5  4 роки тому

      Unfortunately I didn’t want to add music where I talked, but the background noise on this one was so bad I had to. Going forward, as long as I can film at my desk with no background noise, I’ll only add music on the sped up areas. Like my last video. The background noise on these because I filmed on the floor was really bad and would have been worse.
