I am a massive fan of Empire of the Sun and this is truly another great release. I'm a huge Ice on the Dune fan. However, each of their albums are gems to me. High and Low from Two Vines should have been a massive hit. I heard that they have already started album 5 and I cannot wait!
You make a number of great points here. I think the space in time in terms of release is a big factor in what makes them exciting. Less is more, so often!!!
The second half did stray a little, especially trying to work in those last two songs. Still on the fence about their presence. Great to hear from you.
Always been a massive fan of them, i just loved the uplifting feeling of the previous albums with the style alongisde Lukes voice, and feel like this one misses it a bit. Guess I was just after a certain style and need to give it more listens!
