Lakselva salmon. I'm a looser, a 40 pounder looser

Lets mess up this angler completely

So my first run through the Cock Pool, I got torn out of my simple fishing life brain activity by a beast of a salmon bursting out of the water with my monkey fly in his jaws. I have never experienced my heart rate go up so fast but also never seen such an insanely huge salmon! Not only was this a potential 130 cm fish but it was high like a table plate and sounded like a bigger freezer hitting the water the seven time it jumped. To cut the story short, this huge fish took every snag possible in the pool and finally cut my 0.45mm leader like it was made of butter. I have never been so devastated by fishing. This comes in the tail of loosing a fish around 15-17 kg right at the rod tip two days earlier. I was quite sad after loosing the fish of my lifetime and also after a tough week. I said to Hernik this was a once in a life timer and Im done fishing for today. He motivational said, it's not possbile to challenge that by not trying again. So after 20 minutes, I went in again with a Metallica fly at the end of my line inn a different part of the pool. On a very short cast, a huge nose followed by a masive gap broke the surface. Could that really be my fly he ate? The line tightened and again I was into yet a huge table plate of a fish. - A bit smaller than the first being around 16-18 kg. This is insane! This time I had full control of the beast and had him beached two times but again this went to hell. Right as he was to go into the landing net, the hooked pulled and the monster salmon slowly swam out again to his home again.
Im tempted to say it again, this is once in a life time experience. At least I have never seen or heard of such madness. - Two possibly 40 pound salmon hooked in a row within one hour is insane. On the other hand, devastating to loose them both.
The last two times I fished this pool during my week, I hooked these two monsters but also a the fish off 15-17 and 9 kg. I lost all of them! Am I cursed on this pool or have the salmon living there agreed on messing me up?
A final note. Please Catch & Release the salmon up there guys!!! I simply don’t understand you even consider killing a fished the is close the being wiped out. We unfortunately experienced anglers out of Olderøs C & R beats kill 13-14 kg salmon. The few fish making it through all the challenges to get back to the spawning ground are so important. If this killing continues, it simply will be over.
