Single, no children, never married, Swiss, former project manager for social projects in Africa, now recovering from long covid the past 15 months. My world is very small as I’m housebound at the moment. Your podcast entertains me and makes me feel like I got to „travel“ and discover new „worlds“ from the comfort of my bed. TY ❤ for the laughter, encouragement, inspiration despite our very different walks of life.
Married with one son, Canadian but living in France. My son returned to Canada to study last September, so I'm truly an empty-nester. I've become a homemaker, after a long career in Canada as a law librarian - huge difference. Moved from city to countryside. Still figuring it all out 9 years later. I love your podcast, as you show me a whole other lifestyle, and you remind me of the Mennonites in Kitchener-Waterloo, and those I have worked with in the past. You've also reminded me, in my secular country, that God is still here.
I love how God creates us all so differently... I've been a mom for almost 14 years, and never have I ever had the luxury of being in a position where I was worried about wasting time! The job literally never stops, and I'm SO tired. I WISH I had as much energy as the two of you have! 😂 God bless you ladies ❤
Christian, Wife of 46 years, Mother of three adult girls, Gnomie (grandma) to four grandchildren. Retired nurse. More than three words~not always a rule follower! Today we bought our next home, hopefully our last home, a Villa. 💛 Megan, you are WAY too hard on yourself! Give yourself time to recover from your pregnancy and birth and your rebirth as a mom of four. You do not need to be superwoman. Lean on the Lord, sweet mama. 💛 Love your new ministry, Jayna! Can’t wait to hear updates. 💛 It’s the same in our area of Missouri~married at Bride’s home church and then go wherever the man takes you or you jointly decide to go together, of course! Usually the man’s place. 💛 My dad always called my mom a “scrubby Dutch” because she was always being ‘productive’. I inherited that from her, too. I’m telling you…learn to NOT be that way. It is important to NOT get your worth from what you do and that you’re able to rest, even though there are still things that “need doin’”. For Megan, Jayna and all over-achievers! p.s. meant no offense by my term for Dutch, it was said by my father. p.p.s. Can’t wait until next week!
Married 24 years in May, I’m a homemaker/homeschool teacher, & have three children, ages 21, 18, & 13. I’m very involved with the women’s prayer group at my church & I help in the preschool class one Sunday & Wednesday every month.
I am French, my husband is Italian, we live in England and I am a Spanish teacher. Have been for 30 years and love it. Not a believer and not a mum but love your videos. ❤
I love the idea redefining who you are/what you do with your time. In a year & a half my youngest will be in kindergarten and I’ve been thinking a lot about how I want to spend my time. When my twins were little, my neighbors were grandmas that served me so much and I want to be just like them. What Jana said about the being the one they can call when they need anything really resonates with me. I’m the mom of 8 and I’ve spent the last 19yrs devotion it my time to my kids and love it. Yes, there are so many hard things with kids, and a lot of behavior issues right now, but this is the life my husband and i dreamed of!
Jayna, I’m a substitute teacher and I LOVE it!! I work three days a week and the other two is for my home and family. It’s a flexible job, you’re not tied to a daily schedule as a teacher is, and you can have time to keep your home and family life as much of a priority as you need to. Being a substitute is such a blessing!
Wife, mama of 5, homemaker, and homeschooler. I love your conversations! Megan, just as an encouragement… I had several stressful pregnancies, miscarriage with my first, 2nd was a twin pregnancy and we lost one at 21 weeks then bed rest till a month from my due date. The next was drama free and then another twin pregnancy when our oldest was 4. Thankfully it went very well other than the constant monitoring and our boy was on oxygen at first. All that to say the emotions you are going through are very understandable! I had so much anxiety after my twins were born. I had a lot of help but so much depends on the Mom and 4 little ones is a lot to juggle! You will eventually get back to normal! Focusing on the truths of God’s promises are so helpful! It was difficult to focus on reading longer passages of scripture but having a verse or two to cling to helped so much. I was single until I was 28 so feeling like my life kind of stopped and I wasn’t doing much to change the world was also a struggle, even though I loved my babies so much! Now that my youngest is 5 I’m surprised at how quickly that baby stage went by!
Full-time in Children's Ministry, part-time baker, and Bible school student. Also, a single homemaker for myself and my sister with whom I live. It isn't traditional, but I find a lot of joy and fulfillment in my style of simple homemaking for the two of us. Love your videos. They are so fun to watch and I always come away with something to think about.
41 year old mom of 3 (5,7,9) and wife. I work full time in the insurance industry. I still consider myself a homemaker because I get to cook and do all the things ❤ I love this podcast and Megan’s channel is my favorite UA-cam to watch! I look forward to Thursdays!
Here in Nebraska I am retired; worked for my state for 36 years initially processing unemployment claims and then helping people find jobs (created hundreds of resumes for people) helped them learn interview skills, and assisted employers in finding good employees. I raised 2 sons along with my husband and now have 6 soon to be 7 grandchildren. I was blessed with a wonderful job because my boss was very family oriented and working outside the home worked for me. My suggestion for you girls is to do what you love. My family always came first!! (save your money for retirement as it flies up on you)
I've been a homemaker for 10 years. My son is 10 & my daughter is 8. Recently, since I have more extra time I've been working about 10 hours a week. It's the perfect balance. I'm a mom first, but I do love the balance of both. I'm a speech therapist working with the pediatric population. I love being able to help other families while my little ones are at school. ❤
I am a Gamma to five littles, a wife of over 40 years, and a mamma to two grown men. I just love watching you two girls. We have always wanted to visit Lancaster … maybe one day we will and god willing we may just bump into our favourite Mennonite girls. Jayna I’m thrilled that you are finally able to have some Mommy time and hear that you are enjoying your teaching job. And Megan you are one lucky lady to have four littles now. Love the podcast ladies and can’t wait to watch more!!! God bless you both 💖
Christian,Happily married for six years and counting, homemaker, full time university student in medical physics. We live in the Netherlands and we met when we were both working in the same fish factory. Bought our house when I was 18, saved more money to remodel, got married when I was 20, got back to school to study 2 months after we got married. had to start somewhere near the bottom, but I'll recieve my bachelors degree in 3 months from now, so we're getting there. The reason I went back to school is that I really felt in my heart that that was where i should go to use my talents. so although not a traditional route, to us, it is the route that God has planned for us, and so we are taking it, even if it means that some christians wont understand why we didnt take the ''get married-have kids-route.'' (as if recieving children is a guarantee)
I think even non-Mennonite families, traditionally have where the women move from where they live to where their husbands are. My brother's wife moved across the country for my brother nineteen years ago. I am involved in a mom group where several of the woman have moved from other states to live with their husbands (and one is moving across the world for a couple years because of her husband's job). I feel it is rare a man will move to his wife, but it happens sometimes (though I can't think of examples hahaha). I enjoyed the conversation. What I do: Married almost 20 years, 2 teens and a baby, stay-at-home mom, but I am also ten years a resources adviser for a non-profit fighting human trafficking issues. I have run my own photography business (did for 13 years), was a youth leader and Sunday school teacher for ten years, and am a certified life coach (mainly health/wellness and carbon footprint reduction/decluttering). I have a lot of passions and hobbies haha. I homeschooled my two teens until a couple years ago (and worked in retail during that time) and will homeschool again.
Teacher, daughter, dreamer! I moved to central Illinois to teach at a rural Mennonite school this year and have been learning a lot about myself and growing so much in my faith. So fun to listen in on your conversation again!
Thank you for saying that about simple childhood memories. We may or may not take another vacation, so it's nice to be reminded that it's the everyday that counts the most 💞 Wife, Mom, Homeschool Mom ❤
Hi! I am a mother of 3 youth. They are 16, 20, and 22. I am a homemaker, volunteer librarian at our Mennonite School, and I sew a lot. Love listening to y'all.
Homemaker, (thankful to be more settled into being a slower paced homemaker now!), pregnant with our second boy & Christian wife!❤ not a Mennonite but my siblings have all moved where ever our husbands jobs take us. Which sometimes means no family around and that is TOUGH!!! Love your videos!! So glad you’re back!
Married 57 years this year, mother of four, grandmother to sixteen and great grandmother to two. Have worked in business at different times, but family always came first. Retired now and enjoy my life with my husband traveling and volunteering.
Such a coincidence the "homemaker helper" I was putting my children to bed before watching this episode and (like I do every night) I was remaking their beds. Even though they make their own bed every day... by the time I come in to tuck them in they have it all pulled apart and twisted. (Yes, it can get annoying haha) but every single night I remake their beds over them while they are in it and tuck them in. They always seem to snuggle into their pillows in anticipation of the warm covers being straightened and tucked in around them. And I suddenly found myself wondering if this was something they would remember when they are all grown. And I suddenly hoped so much that it was something they would remember very clearly and how cozy and safe they felt every night as I tucked them in. Then I went to do my regular house reset before going to bed and turned on this episode I'd been waiting to watch. 😊
So fun to be connected with you both! I am a wife of 51 years, mom of three now adult children plus helped the raising of one granddaughter, grandmother of 12, retired Special Ed teacher’s aide, Children’s Church teacher currently. My main goal in life was to lead my family to the Lord. God is so good! ♥️
I'm 22 , Nurse on a oncology unit, from Germany, in a relationship but not married (yet) . I love your videos, and they make me dream of a family and the homemaking, but also preparing and giving me realistic expections❤ God bless you ❤
Homemaker, homeschool teacher, and student! My kids are getting a bit older as well and I decided to go back to school for a master’s in teaching special education. I want to start a local ministry for special needs children and their families.
hey y'all- Shawnna here😄 love the chat! Love you both! Megan- I sent you a congrats baby card- I don't know if you have gotten it yet. If not be looking for it 😘 I am 46 years old and a proud homemaker in Oklahoma. Love doing what I do taking care of my home, husband and our crazy 4 year old boxer Magnum😉I was in retail for 10 years. Then as a bank teller for 5 years. But since moving 11 years ago. I haven't gone back to work. Neither one of us would have it any other way. 😊Y'all are both doing such a great job as mothers and homemakers🥰
Married, SAHM of 2 (3 years and 2 months) I’ve had a bunch of fun jobs prior, coffee shop barista, gym desk worker, receptionist, also I’m co director for my church’s youth programs!
Redefining myself during my current phase of life. I was hanging on to every word you girls said! It's sure different being a mom of teens then a mom of littles. My titles would include teen mom, middle age wife and homesteading. 😊
Empty-nester mom, piano teacher and pastor’s wife. As a side note, with my fourth baby, I just wanted peace and quiet at home too (and she was a February baby too!).
Grandma of 2 + 2 "bonus" grandchildren. Currently a Special Education Assistant in a public Elementary School. Was a therapist before that, and now partially retired, and helping 3 days/week with Grandchildren and Mother too.
Never married. No kids. But spent 40 yrs as a pediatric nurse. So I had plenty of time with children. Then retired and swung pendulum completely the other way. And I'm now looking after the needs of my 92 yr old father. You never know what God has in store. And He provides the grace for each transition.
Married, professor, pregnant lol Side note: can we PLEASE stop saying our husband "babysat" the kids... our husbands shouldn't be babysitting. They're being fathers and raising THEIR children. ❤
Great to see you again! Just how can you be so active with a newborn? It’s amazing. Maybe it’s because I am a late mom, but I had barely energy left to shower. Also, who takes care of your kids when you do the filming and other stuff? It must be so wonderful to have such a big family and community.
Married, have two boys, work part time at my church in the evening, stay at home with my boys during the day and my little nephew. ❤️🙏🏽 feeling blessed.
I was so happy to see you back today! Both of you look good and it was a fun life update! I am a farmer's wife, mom of 3 teenagers, full time bookkeeper, and the leader of our young women's church group. I love staying busy too! 💐
Yay! You guys are back! ❤ I’m married with two school aged kids. I work part time at a grocery store in the evenings. However, I’ve been praying for a more rewarding job and I’m feeling a tug to possibly look into working for a school. Perhaps a teachers aide? I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ 😅 We recently got a new store manager at the grocery store and he isn’t very understanding as to why my schedule is a bit restricted but my faith and family comes first 😬 sorry not sorry
Married, homesteading, homeschooling mama to 3! I’m Catholic, but my husband and I got married in my church in PA and then moved to MD then VA for his job. So, not just Mennonite ladies moving to where their husband has a job. 😊
Totally retired great grandma, 74, now away from our city life in Ft WORTH, Tx and into our little 80 year old country cottage that we remodeled with our rescue dog, Kona Louise and our new rescue cat, Breni Sue. We are Southern Baptists who loved to travel until a few years ago when I mangled my leg and hubby, 80, was ready to stay around our country place❣️. We help our recently widowed cousin in the ranch next door. We enjoy our Texas Rangers Baseball, Dallas Mavericks basketball, and Dallas Cowboys.
Glad you are back! Enjoyed listening to your podcast while i cut out a dress. Homemaker, Property manager for our real estate business, and Etsy shop owner.
Wife, mother, teacher…..referee too as I have 6 children and 5 of them are boys! My little girl is sure feisty too though. 😂 I so much enjoy these conversations. Also wanted to add, I’m a traditional Catholic, we go to the old Latin Mass, and it is also common for us to have our weddings in the girl’s home parish and settle wherever the man lives. There are so many things that you ask if they are a Mennonite thing that we commonly do as well.
Work from home, one-and-done mom, and travel agent. I work a corporate job from home, have a 2 year old girl, and I’m a travel agent on top of everything.
Work from home (in all the ways) I do dental insurance part time, bookkeeping for my husband’s business part time, homeschool our 4 kids (ages 16,14,12,8) and keep the family life running smoothly. Glad you’re back! -Amy
I'm a homemaker / homeschool teacher living in Southern Illinois. I have 3 kids and have successful graduated 2 and my 3 is currently enrolled at the community college doing dual credit classes, so I'm almost done with schooling. My husband sold his business last fall and is now home working in a home office starting his next adventure, so I've been thinking about a part time job just to get out of the house. I also teach Sunday school the 3-5 year old class at our church, and love it! Over the years I have taught every age in Sunday school, but I love the toddlers the best. We were in Youth ministry for many years, but I'm too old for that now.🤣I love to travel so hopefully more of that is in my future. We also will be in Florida this month. Hoping to make a trip next year to Pennsylvania for my daughters Sr Trip, so maybe we will run into you both! Love watching your channel.
I am engaged and have been working as an engineer for 4 years now. My Family always thought that I would become a teacher, but I really enjoy the engineering field. At the Same time I am really looking forward to Start a Family :) I love watching your Videos and getting a glimps into a different culture than what I am used to (living in Germany).
Married, work FT, 2 bio, 3 step kids. 1 Grandson of mine. 4 Step Gran kids. We don't use Step though. Live in Massachusetts. Fascinated and love Lancaster, PA. I work 3 12 hr. shifts in a Hospital. Tired!
Married 27 years, mom of two. Homemaking, homeschooling are my primary focus but I do sew headcoverings and make woodworking things on the side for a bit of side cash via Etsy and my website. I do UA-cam too but it isn’t monetized or anything. Mostly that is small change as hubby is by FAR the breadwinner here.
I'm an SLP too! My kiddos are 8 & 10. I took a little hiatus when they were born & i recently started working a few hrs a week. I pray for you to have a great pregnancy. I miss being pregnant. 💕
ranch wife, mom, and cowgirl! Technically more than three words but all three titles kind of go together because sometimes I'm just home doing the cooking for our family, sometimes for cowboys, and sometimes I'm outside doing the cowboying with my husband and daughter.
Divorced 2 boys 23 & 16. A few different jobs throughout my 51yrs of life but nursing for 23 yrs now on disability due to very bad health. I homeschooling my 16 yr old pulled him out of public school after the 3rd grade. Too many things I didn't agree with in the public school.
27yr old in New York, Married 8yrs, 3 kiddos ages 2,4,6. Currently stay at home mom but come September everyone is off to school... Praying on what's next 🙏 we are looking for me to start work again somewhere as we need a 2nd income.
My life is best summed up as “a blessed farmwife/farmgirl”! Married for almost 8 years now. We both grew up Mennonite, I definately take good values out of it but it is far from the only way to live a Christian life!! So far we have decided not to try for kids…& contrary to traditional Mennonite ways, it is not selfish to not have kids or to wait. There is SO many different ways God uses His children! I love kids, don’t get me wrong. But it’s not always Gods plan for everyone! I love your podcasts & how together you portray 2 different ways of thinking but they flow together!
Married, homemaker, Mom to a one-year-old. I busy my self with cooking from scratch, gardening, caring for livestock, and writing fiction. Note: I'm also a Mennonite, but a lot of your ways sound very new to me. 😆
Yay, I love that y'all are back again! Baby #4 was a difficult adjustment for me, my fourth boy. He's a handful at 1 and a half. 😂 It's common in our circles as well to marry in the women's homestate and move to the guy's. I'm originally from SC now living in SD with my husband and 4 boys. 😅
So my career in three words, fusing metals together (aka: welding). I am a mother of four myself, twin daughters and two sons. I am also a grandmother of 16 grandkids ranging from 33 yrs old down to 1 year old. I am retired and I enjoy being retired after 26 yrs in the welding trade. Reading and needlecraft are my two main hobbies. I really enjoy watching your podcast and also Megan's other channel. Look forward to new insights and ways of living. ❤
Homemaking mom of two (boy and girl), 21 years in retail accounting, and lastly office cleaning associate for family business.. Note married for 31 years and loving life as a grandparent of one little girl and anxiously waiting for a sweet little boy in August 24'
I personally think the moving to the bread winner’s location is typically outside of your community. Even as we are 7 years married we move base on the job with the higher income. My sister and her husband are the same way they moved across the country bc of my sisters job. Definitely all decisions are made seeking God’s will. ❤

Homemaker, girl-mom, photographer. On a side note, Jayna, my girls cheer when Miss Jayna is their substitute!😊

Your personalities and the way you express yourselves is different, but the different perspectives go so well together in this podcast!
Homeschooling homemaker mom of four here. I’ve been home for 18 years and love it! The most important and challenging job of my life! ❤️

God bless you both 💖
Glad to hear you were able to get some time away, Jayna. 😊And the “no cooking” rule was brilliant. 🤩

Wife, foster mom, homemaker. I enjoy watching you ladies!❣️

Thrilled for your podcast to be back! I found it a few weeks ago and binged! It has been such a blessing in my life!

I’m an OBGYN, I have been married for 2 years, and no kids yet. Love watching your videos! 💜
I'm 22 , Nurse on a oncology unit, from Germany, in a relationship but not married (yet) .
I love your videos, and they make me dream of a family and the homemaking, but also preparing and giving me realistic expections❤
God bless you ❤
71 year old grandma of five and I never miss an episode of either of your channels. 😃
Wife, mom to 4 (2 in college and homeschool other 2), homemaker, and neonatal nurse practitioner.
So glad y’all are back!! ☺️
Married, SAHM of 2 (3 years and 2 months) I’ve had a bunch of fun jobs prior, coffee shop barista, gym desk worker, receptionist, also I’m co director for my church’s youth programs!
I'm a retired teacher and now get to babysit my grandkids, the joy of my life! My daughter lives in Lancaster!
I'm engaged (wedding in less than two weeks!), no kids and work full time!
OkieNana, Wife and work as a nurse at our local hospital, but Homemaking is my favorite place to be!!!
Married, professor, pregnant lol
Side note: can we PLEASE stop saying our husband "babysat" the kids... our husbands shouldn't be babysitting. They're being fathers and raising THEIR children. ❤
Hallelujah 🙏 Spring is just around the corner!
Great to see you again! Just how can you be so active with a newborn? It’s amazing. Maybe it’s because I am a late mom, but I had barely energy left to shower. Also, who takes care of your kids when you do the filming and other stuff? It must be so wonderful to have such a big family and community.
It is so nice to have support. My showers are my favorite part of my day. Somedays, not much else gets done besides that!
I’m married with two school aged kids. I work part time at a grocery store in the evenings. However, I’ve been praying for a more rewarding job and I’m feeling a tug to possibly look into working for a school. Perhaps a teachers aide? I don’t know 🤷🏻♀️ 😅
We recently got a new store manager at the grocery store and he isn’t very understanding as to why my schedule is a bit restricted but my faith and family comes first 😬 sorry not sorry
Wife, no children yet, CNA in labor & delivery ☺️
I love to listen to podcasts while I’m doing work around the house 😊
My husband has been sick since December coughing, two X-ray multiple meds. Finally on the mend I hope. But your right lots going around.
Happy wife, mama to 2, and homemaker. Love your podcast!! Thank you for sharing your stories and hearts with us. ❤
Homeschool mom, produce farmer, bookkeeper to my husband's side business. Enjoyed a winter break but looking foward to the summer.
Mom, Wife,Crocheter and I clean at an Airbnb ❤
We were older lol . Watching code names was hysterical. You couples on the committee did WONDERFUL , hey thanks again!. It was gorgeous weather also.
-Amy
Homemaker. Married. No kids.
Love what you ladies do! You are very encouraging!!❤
Retired. Worked part-time until the oldest went to college. Writer and communications strategist.
Christian, wife, homemaker, piano teacher…feeling some baby fever so maybe first time mom within a couple years!
I am listening while trying to put my teething 6 month old baby to sleep! Super fun and relatable!
I am engaged and have been working as an engineer for 4 years now. My Family always thought that I would become a teacher, but I really enjoy the engineering field. At the Same time I am really looking forward to Start a Family :)
I love watching your Videos and getting a glimps into a different culture than what I am used to (living in Germany).

Christian, mom of 2 girls (12 & 9), work full time in ministry (partly from home/part office), homemaker & wife for 17 years.
Oh Megan, that scene from your birth story made me cry again!
Married, homemaker. Just lost our first little baby girl in January at 19 1/2 weeks. 😢
Sorry for your loss ❤️ I pray God blesses you again and you can draw closer to Him in this hard time.

I'm an SLP too! My kiddos are 8 & 10. I took a little hiatus when they were born & i recently started working a few hrs a week. I pray for you to have a great pregnancy. I miss being pregnant. 💕
ranch wife, mom, and cowgirl! Technically more than three words but all three titles kind of go together because sometimes I'm just home doing the cooking for our family, sometimes for cowboys, and sometimes I'm outside doing the cowboying with my husband and daughter.
career in 3 words - decision maker, organizer, communicator (I'm a project manager)
Hello homemakers! I hope y'all have a great Monday! ☀️
Wow! Amazing! A welder!!
Accountant, foster & Adoptive mom. ❤
Married, no children 😢 and work in the scientific research field. Always enjoy listening to you both!
So happy to see y’all back. I missed you two!

Homemaking mom of two (boy and girl), 21 years in retail accounting, and lastly office cleaning associate for family business.. Note married for 31 years and loving life as a grandparent of one little girl and anxiously waiting for a sweet little boy in August 24'
31. Single. No kids. Executive Assistant @ a global accounting firm. Love watching ya’ll and can’t wait to make a trip there!!
three words: Deliver mamas (and)babies. That was so hard. I'm a labor and delivery nurse
Thank you for your service to those mamas and babies! It’s such a meaningful contribution to the world!
I personally think the moving to the bread winner’s location is typically outside of your community. Even as we are 7 years married we move base on the job with the higher income. My sister and her husband are the same way they moved across the country bc of my sisters job. Definitely all decisions are made seeking God’s will. ❤
