You Tube became a better place when Megan Fox Unlocked and Honey I'm Homemaker was created. Now other creators are following in your footsteps on social media because of your leadership and Christian friendly personality.🎥📸📺
Go ahead and delete if unwanted, but I also really enjoy Megan and Honey I'm Homemaker channels 💕. Some other very family friendly ones are This is How We Bingham, Our Life In Holland (This name is figurative, they live in USA), and Jared and Britt.
Just started watching & got to your question about the “older kid problems”. I will say, in my experience, the issues with older kids can definitely be heavier. In my experience with my children, some of those things started as early as age 10/11. The busy stress you have when your children are little is real, for sure, but being a mom, now of adults & teenagers, is a very different experience. It is wonderful & rewarding seeing the seeds that you planted when they were little coming to fruition, but when problems arise, it can feel life altering at times. It definitely builds your prayer life & your trust & relationship with God.
Parenting gets harder when kids are in school and with peers. Sometimes they keep things to themselves you only find out if you have time for that casual, happy conversation where they can relax and open up. Sometimes there are influences they don't even pick up on. Probably easier in a Mennonite private school setting.
I'm a pretty regular viewer, but this was quite possibly my favorite episode! It was so nice to hear the 'behind the scenes' of Megan's experience as a content creator (and Jayna did a great job interviewing her!). My channel had a bit of a growth spurt last year, and there were so many things I didn't anticipate. The guilt of not being able to respond to every single person IS REAL. The wild and sometimes downright angry comments that seemingly come out of nowhere. Heck, I've even had difficulty gracefully accepting the nice and complimentary comments at times. It's such a weird space and it's not always easy for my friends and family to understand. Thank you for sharing your experience.
I have a 19, 16 and 14 year olds, and I also have a 3 and 1 year old. Littles are more physically taxing, but my teenagers, and young adults are much more mentally and emotionally taxing. Its all worth it, they are all wonderful in their own way!
The one thing I love about your content is you never go out of your way to bash people or a community. I like how you stick to your beliefs and you don't have to justify by talking down on others. You have a great bubbly personality and it is refreshing to see! Loved this video ❤😊
LOVE this episode and y’all! I have 4 kids 10-20 years old. Give me back the newborn and toddler years!!! 🤪 Jayna could be a professional interviewer/ tv or radio host. Megan’s editing is THE best out of all the UA-camrs I watch. I know I can’t multitask when your videos are on because they’re so good!
Younger kids are more physical work…older kids are more mental work. That’s what I learned. I found parenting older kids was way more stressful lol 😂 PS: Love Lynette ❤
I’m expecting my 6th and my oldest is now 11. She could probably move out today and take care of herself if she could drive lol, but I mother her in a different way now and she has different, less hands-on needs which frees me up to do the hands-on practical tasks with my little ones. My older ones are also so helpful with the younger ones (not because I force them, but because they genuinely love them and want to help!) and they are also very capable of helping around the house which has lightened my burden there as well. We all live here so we do expect them to help keep the house running! All that to say that it actually has gotten easier since having more children. :)
I really enjoyed this video! It’s fun to have a peek into someone else’s life & hear your perspectives as creators. So glad you’re still creating & inspiring others! ✨🩵
Haha, "she's still learning how to be an influencer" made me crack up. Love the relationship y'all have. Can totally tell you're cousins & it's lovely to be invited into your convos!
LOL theres always going to be keyboard karens, im glad you dont listen to them though. I wish i could just hang out with you girls, i get SO excited when i see a new episode!
I so enjoy listening to you girls on these Podcasts. I am a great grandmother of two and a grandmother of 8 so it's fun to hear your take on things and I have to say it isn't much different than when my six sisters and I used to sit and visit about life and family life. Keep on keeping on..........life changes, but basic good concepts seem to remain given the right spirit and attitudes of life and our beliefs. Blessings
Megan, you were the first UA-camr that I ever watched. It was when Covid first started and I was searching "Mennonite Documentaries' on UA-cam and your videos kept popping up. After numerous time of this happening I finally click on it and have been hooked since. From watching your videos, I started watching Lynn Yoder's videos. You two are still my favorite UA-camrs. 😁
Mom of 13, 11, and 9 year olds-the issues you need to discuss with big kids are TOTALLY different!!! They can certainly be harder, but it really depends on your parenting and your particular child. Also, I have a friend with 13 kids and #12 was a completely different baby from 1-11!! The moment you think you’ve got parenting down, I guarantee your child will do something that throws you for a loop! 😂 I firmly believe each child from the moment he or she is born, is a unique creation and deserves to be viewed as such, not just a run of the mill “baby” or “toddler”.
My in-laws had ten and also raised two nephews! They never complained at all. Also, they college educated almost half of them…all that wanted the help!
I love your podcast! Jayna needs her own channel too!! Im a homemaker and I listen to your podcast while I’m doing my workout at home. Brings so much inspiration and positivity in starting my day✨
I live in Lancaster County and stumbled upon your channel. I so enjoy your content. I purchased the book referred to in this podcast and am REALLY enjoying it. (Annie's Day of Light) I am not originally from Lancaster County, but have been here for 40 years. It is fun to read this book that is from the time span when my Grandmother was born, and I have heard some of the stories in the book because I married into a Mennonite family. Blessing to you....maybe someday we will run into each other while we are out and about.
I really appreciated this video! It's been a moment since we've had a Q&A. I liked the topic tho because these are definitely curious questions and it really gives people an even more humanizing understanding. I'm sorry you felt so much pain putting out your opinion but of course that comes with being vulnerable/when we share our opinions. Everyone has an opinion. But remember truth. There is your truth and the truth you have close in your life knowing of you. ❤ Don't take anything too personal. I feel like most people who are hate commenting/using those sort of forums in the awful way are typically very unhappy people in general. I would suggest praying for them in your personal time ❤ for them and for you. Hope you both are enjoying your spring!🌸🩷
I love the idea of Mennonite Your Way. That's so neat. I looked into it. I'll tell my church about it even! They'll love it. I love how your conversations flow with one another so easily. It makes it so fun to listen to. -JusticePirate
It's almost comical to me that you would get mean DM's. With the amount of absolute garbage content on UA-cam, your wholesome (and sometimes hilarious) content rises to the top. I just found your podcast a few months ago and you've quickly become one of my favorite podcasts. Keep up the great work Megan and Jayna ❤ -Mary.
I love Mondays because of yalls podcast is such a refresher. One of my favorite podcasts! You 2 together work so well and compliment each other so good! I'm glad you don't plan on going anywhere as far as leaving youtube Megan! And what about you, Jana? Would you start a youtube channel?
Oh my! It totally looks like I am wagging my foot around intentionally. I was not. Must be a nervous habit. However.... the socks are definitely elite socks! Love them.
Ive been following you the longest & because of a trip to FL you did thats when you introduced Lynette & started following her. Im Apostolic so i dont do social media, & only watch wholesome content like you & Lynette. I love crafting so i do follow some crafters. I love how you girls use this platform for God moms women family in general. Love that dress Jayna!! And Megan you have been losing that baby weight very well not too quickly. Love you ladies❤
Always different issues at the different ages. And harder for different reasons as they age I feel. Even as my kids are now adults… you are always a mom and worry. Always praying for them. ❤️
I planned my best friend's bachelorette party and it was pretty simple. The big event was taking a cooking class and learning how to make French macarons! We also went to the zoo and did skits reenacting how the bride and groom met and their first date, which were very funny
Yours is one of the few UA-cam accounts I will actually watch all their videos. It’s fun and light and usually has helpful tips to make life smoother. Plus y’all don’t take yourself too seriously and are genuinely conservative and not odd like the trad content that has recently popped up
Hi girls! Sitting here in the middle of Nebraska and as always learning from you guys! I enjoy your channel. Keep up the great work!! I still would love a Q & A with your mothers!!
My “ bachelorette party” consisted of renting a game rom from some friends The night before the wedding. Me and my bridal party played games, went to Starbucks and got drinks and we sat and talked into the wee hours of the night and they all prayed over me. We spent the night there and then got ready the next day for my early afternoon wedding. It was a special time that didn’t cost anyone much and I felt just as loved as if we had done something over the top. Keeping cost low was part of why my husband and I were able to get married while we were still in college.
I work as a virtual assistant to an influencer and responding to DMs and Instagram/UA-cam comments is a big part of my job! I recommend hiring one in the future if it works in your expenses!
I have 6 kids (29,31,33,38, 39, and 40, 5 girls and 1 boy) and I was blessed not to have many of the problems that many problems that most parents have. Although one of my children did have a drug problem for a while, it definitely helped that my house was the hangout house. Their friends knew that they could always come to our home if they had an argument with their parents and wanted to leave (my only rule was that they had to let their parents know where they were so they wouldn't worry). I was also blessed to have one of their friends stay with us for 6 months because her parents lost their jobs and almost lost their house. It was definitely a challenge at times, but my kids are my best friends now and I think being an Oma is even better than being a mom!!!
Oh my, you are so right about bigger kids, bigger problems! Teens these days are hard! But the lady with a lot of kids was sort of correct. Depends on how easy you get overwhelmed and the temperament of your kids.
So, I have a unique motherhood experience. 5 years ago, we adopted a 13 year old (I'm your age Megan 😉) Now recently, we adopted a 9 & 10 year old. I would definitely say the 9 & 10 year old have been easier! I know young children take lots of physical care, but older children its more emotional/mental. Conversations get deeper.. that kinda thing. My bachelorette party, we went to Olive Garden and stayed at a cute little cabin overnight. It was a sweet time. (I was still Amish at that time) We played games, I opened gifts, and we tried to sit around a campfire, but wet logs don't work well 😂
I have a 14 yo and an 11 yo. I am enjoying these emotional issues WAY more than the 3yo tantrums. Although our kids don't have phones so we don't have the added stress of social media that many people do.
Older children still need a lot of love, guidance and discipleship. It gets more complicated than just diapers, bath-time, etc. I’m a mom of 4 ages 0-13.
3:14 my mom has always said the same thing sort of. “After 4 it gets easier.” I don’t think she thinks the same way as the post you are talking about, but she does say that people quit having babies right before the baby stage gets exponentially easier because your older ones get more helpful and they love to help.
I have to commend you both on such nice videos you put out. I can watch it knowing that there is truth and Honesty in what you both say..I have watched from the start and the videos just keep getting better and better😍Keep up the good work you both do you tube proud,. A faithful follower. God Bless.
As a mom of 7, I agree that after 3 or 4 kids I didn't find it to be much adjustment, and in fact you do have "more" older children to help. As far as what's harder, our kids range from 15-32, littles take more physical energy, olders take more mental & emotional energy. All of it takes much spiritual energy, 🙏.
Remember , once you're a mom , you're always a mom. It just is different. Your children have different problems and needs, even when they are your age.
I have a 22-year-old and I have a 16-year-old. Now my 22-year-old is a boy and he has always been driven by what he wants to do so when he graduated high school he got a job immediately has been teaching himself different skills. He was fairly easy to deal with, but my daughter has just turned 16 is a completely different story. We are definitely going through rough times right now.
Loved this one. Any suggestions on how to find the person that negotiates your brand deals for you? That’s the struggle I’m facing with our channel of 24k subscribers (obviously not commenting as that channel right now, this is my personal account). About to start working with branded native I think.
I’m thinking she was saying by the time you have the 4th baby, you “know” the baby stage and it’s not new. So it’s the older ones that are at a new stage that you have to navigate
I feel like she was most likely talking about the workload. My last was definitely easier because the older kids helped with housework and even holding the baby. We still Parent. And I totally will not agree with the saying that older kids are more drama or harder, that's the world's motto and it's only true if you speak it into existence. It's a different work but having a relationship with kids from little up is key. -Sheila
If you put in the hard work when they are young, they are not more work when they get older. It should get "easier" as time goes. The problems will be heavier maybe, but it really is the little years that are the toughest.
If someone is just being negative or simply a nuisance, feel free to block them or delete them on any platform. You aren’t obligated to let them speak into your life. Goodness, I don’t feel obligated to answer my phone or my door if some is there. lol If I’m busy or am not interested, I don’t. On the other hand, I do understand leaving it for your entertainment. 😂
I had to supplement with formula when I breastfed my babies. It seems weird that there would be so much todo about using formula 🙄 I love your channel and Honey I’m Homemaker ❤️
I am the mother of eight children. My youngest is now 22, and my oldest is now 35. My husband and I always said, you don’t get any busier after the third child. I’m not quite sure that is totally true. My eight children were all born in 13 years, and busy was just my middle name. I will say having multiple children is way easier, in my opinion, than having one child. With one child, you have to be everything to that child. When you have multiple children, they have each other, and don’t always have to have mom right there. I homeschooled all eight of my children from kindergarten through high school. I think that was way easier than getting children to multiple schools, multiple assignments done, and multiple afterschool activities. Our children were involved in activities outside of the home, but I was able to control that schedule way easier, at least to me. As a sidenote, we are not Mennonite, nor are we Catholic. We are Christians, however.
In regards to showing your kids on social media, I would say to check your analytics and see if you get more views when your kids are in the video. If you do, it’s probably a good idea to take them off completely because people who like seeing other people’s kids online aren’t usually the good kinds of people.
@@marywinchester6893 well I don’t know you so I can’t say anything about your character for certain but you are saying you have a para social relationship with stranger’s children when those children have not consented to being put out there on the internet for forever. It would be better to just enjoy time with your own family and the children that probably love you already. I won’t risk my kids privacy. They deserve to choose if they want to be on the internet or not when they’re older.
Loved your podcast 🤗 Also, about formula-opinionated folks, didn't you say in your videos that Menonites are of God's kingdom first? From what I understand, that would mean that you're following your own true and honest convictions and not lettting society sway or bully you into anything. That's what really attracts me in your channel - that inner truth, that feeling that you're authentically you - you say what you truly believe in and you walk the road that's been laid before you, not one of the muttitude of paths that society randomly picks out. That makes your channel truly unique and extremely valuable in this social media world of so many clones. Please, if you can help it, keep it going 🤗
I think if you are spending time taking care of an infant (after infant, after infant) and assuming that the older children are going to be fine and don't need attention too, you are doing your older children a great disservice. I'm 3rd of 6, and there were times I think I fell through the cracks (parents not catching that I was dyslexic until I was in 2nd grade; me acting out in ways (not always appropriate) to be noticed; hitting puberty unprepared for the changes I was going through; and so on). My mom (the sweetest, most loving person I ever knew) was not able to keep up with all of us, and only had help from my dad on weekends (he was a salesman on the road all week working to pay for our home, our insurance, and food on the table).
Interestingly formula kept my kids growing well. I was told that babies that need to gain wait very fast like mine formula is best. Love bottles! But whatever anyone's choice is. Is Sarasota Springs FL a Mennonite specific vacation place?
Hi sisters I accepted and had my eyes and heart filled with GODs spirit I did a genuine turn around my belief system started there at I believe GOD placed me in an Apostolic family I didn't know anything yet then started studying my Bible I grew there for 30 yrs 3 churches though to me I feel like there as disciplined and had standards Wich I accepted though now I am out of the church though still a spirit filled believer and believe he's walking me into a different place I wore pants I haven't done that in 32 years I'm wondering are Mennonites spirit filled also ...
Baby stage is easier then when they are 2+ for sure. I could cuddle a baby all day long, but all the parenting and teaching that comes with bigger kids is exhausting!
I wouldn't say that was a diss. Not wanting to film or watch something doesn't mean you're speaking badly about people who do. If I say I don't like green beans, I'm not dissing people who grow green beans in their garden.
Older kids need lots of heart to heart connection. If you want to do it well i dont think that is true at all. Jyst because they can make their own sandwiches and laundry doesnt make it easier lol
Would you consider changing your name of the podcast? You two are great at podcasting, but "homemaking" is an unpaid occupation, and you are both obviously making an income from social media. Working from home is not the same as being a true homemaker.
You Tube became a better place when Megan Fox Unlocked and Honey I'm Homemaker was created. Now other creators are following in your footsteps on social media because of your leadership and Christian friendly personality.🎥📸📺

I don't think parenting gets easier, I just think we get better at it as we go and lessen our expectations 😅
I can't imagine anyone bashing you two. I love your attitude, family values, morals, and your candid content sharing. Keep up the good work.

Can’t wait to watch! Perfect timing! I love Listening while I’m cleaning my house!
Oh my, you are so right about bigger kids, bigger problems! Teens these days are hard! But the lady with a lot of kids was sort of correct. Depends on how easy you get overwhelmed and the temperament of your kids.
hey y'all- love the talk! 😀😉 Y'all are the best🥰 Keep up the good work👍
So, I have a unique motherhood experience.
You too are so cute together. Love watching and listening to your videos.
Oh yay for produce stands! No weeds but lot of fresh food! Love those produce stands!
Nap time crew here! Love your videos megan and jayna you both inspire me thank you 🙏 💖💖
You ladies are the cutest! Love the content ❤
I love watching you lovely ladies! Keep going! Blessings!
3:14 my mom has always said the same thing sort of. “After 4 it gets easier.” I don’t think she thinks the same way as the post you are talking about, but she does say that people quit having babies right before the baby stage gets exponentially easier because your older ones get more helpful and they love to help.
Interesting perspective!
True
Loved, loved, loved this episode xx
I Love You Two!
I have to commend you both on such nice videos you put out. I can watch it knowing that there is truth and Honesty in what you both say..I have watched from the start and the videos just keep getting better and better😍Keep up the good work you both do you tube proud,. A faithful follower. God Bless.
Enjoyed listening to you sweet ladies! God bless y’all! 😀❤️
I found with my 3rd it was just more of the same. My older kids 4 and 6 when she was born helped a lot entertaining her.
My first two were really easy babies. My third was the total opposite! So number three was way harder. Number four was easier.
Love this!!!❤
Remember , once you're a mom , you're always a mom.
Congratulations Jayna ,love it!😂❤
I enjoy you two. Like sotting in a room with friends 😊
Keep up the good work. 💕
Running to see the negative comments lady! Don't erase her😂
Love your content ❤❤
Over here with a 15, 12, 5, and 17 month old. The big kids are a more intense kind of hard in my opinion. Way more life decisions.
Great interview!
Enjoyed your content today 😊
I’m thinking she was saying by the time you have the 4th baby, you “know” the baby stage and it’s not new. So it’s the older ones that are at a new stage that you have to navigate
ha!! ha!! That’s too funny! I just came back from Pennsylvania & I would’ve def gave your sandwich a try!!
Watching you from Delaware.
I tend to differ. I am a 67 yr old grandma and so enjoy seeing my favorite UA-camr's kids...and i consider myself a "good kind" of person!
Thanks 🎉
Can you use mennonite your way if you aren't a mennonite?
In your relationship who is the cup half empty and who is the cup half full ?
Interestingly formula kept my kids growing well. I was told that babies that need to gain wait very fast like mine formula is best. Love bottles! But whatever anyone's choice is.
Is Sarasota Springs FL a Mennonite specific vacation place?
No so many people love sarasota. Not just mennonites. I believe Siesta Key beach is number 1 in the US maybe when it comes to beaches??
No room for nastiness ❤
I always watch your videos, but not always on the first day, I am a mom of 6 kiddos, so I don't make watching you tube my first priority. 😊
I apologize I think I mean do your beliefs also believe when you accept Christ do you get filled with his Holy Spirit
Baby stage is easier then when they are 2+ for sure. I could cuddle a baby all day long, but all the parenting and teaching that comes with bigger kids is exhausting!
Whoops! You just dissed your friend Lynnette from Florida. She showed us her cleaning out and organizing her garage!😮😢😂
I wouldn't say that was a diss. Not wanting to film or watch something doesn't mean you're speaking badly about people who do. If I say I don't like green beans, I'm not dissing people who grow green beans in their garden.
👵💜
Older kids need lots of heart to heart connection. If you want to do it well i dont think that is true at all. Jyst because they can make their own sandwiches and laundry doesnt make it easier lol
Would you consider changing your name of the podcast? You two are great at podcasting, but "homemaking" is an unpaid occupation, and you are both obviously making an income from social media. Working from home is not the same as being a true homemaker.
Pray for the subscriber that is always negative.
