Model T's were only available in black between 1914-1925. Before 1914 and after 1925, model T's were available in a number of colors. The reason they used only black paint from 1914-1925 was that the massive number of cars built required the fastest drying paint and that color was black. The Model T was introduced in 1908 and the last Model T was made May 26, 1927.

Wow Mike, I'm stunned over how awesome the Lariat spec looks with the Sports package. The whole grille is flat black, plays well with the gloss paint. Go easy on the mods cuz you gotta sweet ride right from the factory. Congratulations and Happy New Year - 2021.

@@CarsTrucksWhatever let's be honest, the ford/chevy/gmc all look so similar. They all have related features that makes it hard to distinguish what it actually is. Where as dodge and nissan Are more different, and they look better too imo

FX4 is worth it alone for the 36 gallon gas tank. I’ll never go without that option.

I took delivery of my 2021 Lariat sport package supercrew 4x4 in Lead Foot last Thursday. I went with the 3.5. First one my dealership sold. I had a 2018 supercrew STX. What a difference! I noticed like you how tight the doors shut and how much quieter the ride is. The B&O stereo and the center screen are awesome.

This is the first time I see one of your videos and let me tell you, the best part of the video is looking at your happy face getting the truck! I am not a fun of American built cars since my brother had a really bad experience with two FORD SUV's, but that truck is AMAZING!! I really love it! I wouldn't put wheels so wide they need flares on that truck. The lines on it are great, and doing so would screw them up.
More options, more things that will break. That folding shifter being one.

amazing, you have the same truck that I’m getting when my lease is up, only difference, is getting trailer/tow side mirrors. I don’t know why, but ford shrunk their side mirrors so if you swap those out it will give the truck and even meaner look.

Man that truck is stunning. With cylinder deactivation now, the V8 is a no brainer. Literally no tradeoffs for choosing that over either ecoboost.
the 3.5 has a lot more torque over 500 foot pounds.
@@NewtonWashinton both can tow over 12,000 lbs. I don’t think most 1/2 ton truck owners will come anywhere near that. So doesnt really matter. More linear power delivery with the N/A V8 too.
@@jakes5530 to have those high tow numbers with the 5.0 you have to order the 3.73 locking rear gear, with the 3.5 you can run 3.55 locking rear gear for lower rpm on those cross country trips which usually means a little better mpg. Lower rpm also means less eng. wear.
@@NewtonWashinton that’s a good point, but I think for most peoples needs the 5.0 is still a great option. Plenty of power and torque for truck stuff, decent mpg, linear power delivery, awesome sound, and it’s cheaper than the 3.5.
@@jakes5530 Very true the 3.5 will set you back an extra $500 over the 5.0 and the 5.0 is a great eng. and will serve you well. Good chatting with you Jake.

From my understanding, most cars don't really need a break-in period unless you have a more high-performance engine. His truck will be fine. The motto wouldn't be "Built Ford Tough" if it couldn't handle a flooring right off the lot amirite?

New vehicles now don’t need a break in like the old days. It is encouraged to take it easy on it for the first 2000 k/m’s, but doesn’t void warranty if you don’t.
2021’s are nice Ford trucks, but I can see expensive repair costs once warranty runs out.

A lot of car guys believe in the hard break in routine actually being better for the new engine!
@@gs98999, not this car guy (me), especially with a ford. Don't get me wrong I love my truck but I can still notice where they cheaped out, we haven't had new 14 gen problems yet so I would take it on the side of caution. if it breaks while doing it slowly, what's to happen when you hard break-in?
I prefer the traditional bench with column shift and turn key start but cool truck Mike!

Looks good. Just ordered mine last week. F-150 4x4 Lariat, Sport, 3.5 Eco Boost, Crew cab, 6.5' bed, 501A package with Max Tow package. I went with the Carbonized Grey. I have to wait till April to get it. Cant wait!!!!! PS. i went with Cabonized Grey because it wont fit in my garage and i live in Idaho and with the weather I did not want to deal with the paint swirls in the black finish. I had a black CTSV and i spend way to much time buffing swirls out.

He’ll need to keep a pallet of oil in the bed. Cylinder Deactivation = burning more oil than gas

What’s the downside of a belt driven oil pump? Isn’t it better than gears that crack?
@@techmaster777 belts age and degrade. Who knows how capable this system is compared to the already in impressive one. To me it seems like ford is trying to kill v8s in trucks

@@guerro327 Ehh I have a stigma against them now we took my grandpa's escape in to our local ford dealer for an oil change and a new battery because you can't get those batteries any cheaper anywhere else anyway but we got it back and they didn't put the windshield wipers back on right so they would go too far and jump off the windshield and they didn't reset the automatic windows after disconnecting the battery
That's just from the guys at the dealer most likely, most guys dont give a shit... my 2020 was dirty inside and out and had a small "rip" on the seat, took it back and had them replace the seat and clean it... still waiting for the seat though, has been on backorder for months. Service team has done a good job keeping me updated though so can't complain to much.
