Very well said my brother. I still can't believe that Long has the audacity to say the things he says. I doesn't surprise me since the Scriptures forewarn that many FALSE Christs & FALSE Prophets would rise in the last days deceiving many. It just hurts to the core that MANY are going to be deceived and already are today, so openly and public. Not MANY have an ear to hear the Truth of the Word but rather hear the words of men. 1) It's not "just a ceremony". This is an instrument for psychologically reinforcing and solidifying his power, and I painstakingly pointed that out by referencing HIS STATEMENTS and ACTIONS.
2) The mentioning of his physique had nothing to do with the ceremony. As I explained, it has to do with his overall branding of himself and his ministry with the image of male power and virility.
3) I am not attempting to "convince" you of anything. I am simply presenting what is.

This is the passage that a pastor's son tried to use to say that if you want to be blessed "you have to be near the man of God" (meaning the pastor). It was a total abuse of Scripture.
Eddie is all about the money and it's funny because Luke 12:20 stared him in face and couldn't out talk it or use his special "anointing".

Now, I know that NO ONE is perfect so why do so many on here literally dog this man of God out by calling that church a cult. That church is wonderful. I left due to school and where I now live, which is in Cobb County and school-college in the AUC, but that doesn't say anything bad about him or New Birth, and if all of you are supposed to be so holy, saved and sanctified, then why do YOU NOT FOLLOW the Bible??? I just got your point...about the psych:-) When I listened closely you are right that he is making himself equivalent to prophets by saying "you reverence me". I didn't catch that part of it at first. I'm still a little troubled about demonizing though because I don't think it contributes to the routine and mundane practice he performs.

as many as they can come into contact w/ of the Truth. Someone should have shouted/cried out aloud before these people & Long of his blasphemy. For there to be so many standing before him waiting 4 his touch is astounding. Because they're so wrapped up in his person, they prove themselves unworthy of the "Title" they desire to wear as they either totally dismiss his words of blasphemy or have no TRUE understanding/knowledge of what the Scriptures indicate on this matter. This is an utter shame.
Eddie is not alone in his use of cult like tactics. The entire mega church evangelical movements use these tactics. People are willing to sit under people like this just to enjoy the status of going to the big time church. One stop Christian shopping. People do everything at these places and need the network for reasons other than spiritual ones. Makes me sick. I choose not to make a habit of attending churches like these.

I've noticed this too NYTN. Many of the church members act like they are a part of a cult. These pastors also know that many church members do not read the bible for themselves. Eddie is too cocky & wicked.

I think you may be over-reading the ritual by bringing in Bishop's physique,(?) etc. It's just ceremony. He may have made the mistake of letting the video go streamiline but I don't thing there is any intentional. You are over-reading this completely. You have not convinced me. Sorry.
