Movies don't need to be historically accurate to be good.
It is a not good retelling of the documentary, but a decent family drama film. 7.5/10
Zaney baby, I've watched damn near all of your reviews as they've been released, and I can confidently say that I love this one the most
"But that's really not important to the story!" Everything is better with Weird Al. :)
Metal Gear Solid shout out... Nice!
P.S. That you didn't believe him until the 'uhhhh' afterwards, is the icing on that joke.
It's always weird when WWE acts like any of their work is completely historically accurate even when they claim it's not 100% accurate they leave out some pretty important details. Nice choice for end music in what sounds like a slower version of Benoit's old music after talking about wrestling and family
It's Triple H's theme '-'
So we are going to skip the scene where Brad Maddox spilled sour cream on her face and the NXT women’s title
Or what about the special handicap match where Maddox & Xavier Woods double team her?!?!
21:32 "Johnson said that he had watched her family's documentary and wanted to make a family about them." WOAHWOAHWOAHWOAH-WOAH WHAT IN THE BLUE HELL IN WRONG WITH YOU ROCKY YOU SICK FREAK! 😂😂
Literally everything Brian was complaining about was me during this movie, all of the continuity errors and impossibilities made me so mad the whole time
About the KOTR 2000 thing... To be fair, when I was a kid, I played old wrestling PPVs on videotape until they wore out and I know the entire show by memory. lol
I though the casting Dwayne Johnson as The Rock was perfect. 👌
Why did this show up on my feed just now? I've been subscribed to your channel for years, but I completely missed this one. SHENANIGANS!
I'll indeed stick with the doc. There's just so much glossed over and misrepresented that they should have just changed all names and likenesses and created a similar story based on/inspired by.
🤦🏽 wtf was you thinking when you wrote this idiotic comment ffs
Only thing I hate about this movie is too much timeline error
Also hooray new season of Wrestling With Wregret
Congratulations Brian🎉🎉🎉
12:06 as a Book of Mormon fan, I popped big for this😂
Brian you are correct - Ricky Knight was involved in those British tribute shows back in the day. He played the Legend of Doom
I agree I really enjoyed Fighting with my Family especially the training scene where the trainee gets ‘Turned on by Paige’ and the bowling ball in the nether regions spot. I also enjoyed the barfight scene as well. I agree one annoying thing was the inaccuracies with the timeline and the WWE Branding. Zac recently said in a video that yes he did actually train a blind kid and the he didn’t meet the rock during his tryout
"The genesis of the movie in the movie"
Spaceballs type shit.
Lol
Think I would of liked this movie better if I didn't already know the real story
Aye, I watched NXT back in the day. It definitely impacted my enjoyment.
Jerry Lynn should've fronted a death metal band
I cringed when they showed the wwe commercial in the movie.
All of that training on the beach was filmed down here in Long Beach, CA. At 17:07, you can see the tall building where Paul Jones of Bill Clinton infamy lived back in the day.
It just made me sad the way they messed with the story - the real story, and especially her debut on the main roster, were good on their own. No need to change them.
Except for the fact that she in real life had her WWE NXT title belt defamed with male bodily fluids. So, I'm not surprised that the movie glossed over her NXT run...
@@nickchislom9499 Yeah, I'm sure that's why they did it.
