  • Have you ever dreamed of working remotely from any country in the world? This is what most digital nomads do. Of course, remote work is not something new. Even before 2020, many companies had realized the benefits of remote work.
    And the boom of remote jobs means that many people have more flexibility in choosing where they live, how they commute and which career to pursue.
    From teachers to accountants, the list is quite varied. I’ve added a link to their website below so you can check the list.

      That's true! Winter can get super cold in Europe depending on where you go. The great thing about summer in Europe is that there's always so much happening everywhere. The downside is that the cost for rent usually goes up because it's peak season.

    Maybe you should have included the city of Sofia. As far as I understand it is cheep with high speed internet connection.
    Another topic to address could be taxes. I believe the taxes are rather high in e.g. Berlin but very low in Kiev. I wonder why so few expats talk about taxes. Could it her that some expats don't pay taxes at all?😎

    • @ReadyGoExpat
      @ReadyGoExpat  3 роки тому +2

      I've heard a lot about Sofia from friends who have traveled there. It is probably in the top 15 or 20 list. Regarding taxes, that is very tricky indeed. Depending on the kind of visa you have and the agreement that each country has with your own country, you need to pay taxes in that country or not. However, I think that it is very specific to each country. Thanks for the comment :)

    Who calculated these averages so precisely, and how? What are the underlying assumptions for total cost of living? This would be much more meaningful to know than averages down to the dollar. Also, why state living costs for European destinations in USD? Exchange rates fluctuate, therefore you should state these costs in local currency.

    • @ReadyGoExpat
      @ReadyGoExpat  3 роки тому

      Hello mapex! The average costs were based on the website I mentioned in the video. The costs on the website were in USD as well. Total cost of living will always vary depending on lifestyle and living habits. This is just an average. Actually, I believe this list is probably a bit different now on their website because it is always based on the feedback of the digital nomads living in those cities. Thanks for the comment =]

    Adorava experimentar trabalhar a partir de Budapeste ou Praga mas só nos meses de verão 😅 além disso, os locais são pessoas frias. Diria mesmo que na Hungria são antipáticas e fechadas. Visitei as duas cidades em 2019.

      Eu curti muito viajar para Bratislava, Praga, Viena e Budapeste anos atrás. Acho que "antipática e fechada" é bem opinião própria. Eu acho que as pessoas lá são bem práticas e objetivas. Para muitos brasileiros, isso significa ser fechado ou frio. Eu já acho que o "calor brasileiro" é exagerado demais. Não tenho paciência. Mas é opinião pessoal. E em relação ao frio... eu sou de Recife. Aqui é mais de 30 graus quase o ano todo. Detesto o calor e a umidade. Praias bonitas? Temos! Desde que nasci. Quero morar em lugar frio porque calor já deu por mais de 30 anos da minha vida. Obrigado pelo comentário!

If you look for jobs on LinkedIn, for example, you can add "remote work" as a filter. So you will be able to find jobs in which you can work from anywhere in the world.
