Hey Drast, Sorry been watching a few of your videos today.. I left wow vanilla when TBC came out due to IRL things.. is there still vanilla servers going on that we can play with our old characters on?
If you copied your characters back when TBC Classic was being released or chose to transfer it to Classic Era then you can play them, if not then you'd have to relevel at this point
how does it make any sense to start a timer at anub'rekhan when you've been waiting for minutes for the guy that pulled the trash away.. the way these things are recorded is so arbitrary. logs should start the second anyone is in combat.
Like I mentioned in the video, the reason we start there is due to an old rule during naxx speedrun days. Essentially what we would in theory do is to use a rogue to stealth into the position of anub door and open/vanish instantly this way he never engages in combat. Then we would use invis potion to move the raid comp into the room which also means we never engage in combat. This is tried and tested not only on era but back when naxx was the relevant raid. That aside what we do to speed up this process is to just use a paladin to move them out of the way to save everyone’s setup time, it doesn’t kill any mob or make them any easier to kill, in fact they way we set it up wastes time on our battleshout buff. Optimally we would have had warlock + 2 more invis pot there and summon to save buff uptime. But this not only wastes our time but people waiting to watch the runs time. So what happens is when we engage anub the paladin outside the room simultaneously pulls the packs outside for the sapper/grenade position. This saves time on having to walk back and forth. Hope this clarifies the situation, if you have more questions feel free to ask! In the end we are just adhering to the rule set made at the time in 2020/2021.
@Sam-es2gf Limitation of logging system. If its not rigid you need to manually police logs. A log is a text file with time stamps. Super easy to fake the starts, so this is a great solution to keep it fair.

That thaddius>sapph transition was clean af, didnt ever think of going that quickly to keep the buff back in classic, good shit.
