    Promised to throw in my experience with the bag. First off, for the price range the bag is perfect really. It ain't fancy with all the bells and whistles but does what it is supposed to do. Secondly quick physical description of meself. I'm skinny guy who hardly has no shadow and can hide behind twigs with ease, arms are like noodles.
    TL;DR Review: 5/5 for price range
    Thirdly for the bag then. The padding and support for straps and back are good and cannot feel discs tearing my backbone to smithereens. The bag has been better than I expected really. My home course has varying terrain with lot of slanted and uneven ground with roots, tree stumps and so on. You do not really need to put too much care into placing your bag to ground. It stands really nicely when full and even with main compartment not being full, it is still sturdy enough. Side pockets can hold all I need from towels to light all weather jacket and all other unnecessary things really that I carry around. Still bit of a draw back for bottle holders. Locally (Finland) 1.5 liter soda bottle fits perfectly in but generic sports drink bottles would be too loose. Also if you are not having chair and umbrella at sides where they could be set nicely, the pockets are somewhat useful but would love to have Velcro on those as currently have my phone in one of them for easy access during round. Would love to have phone somewhere higher for easy access and am planning to make pocket to one of the straps which would hold chair/umbrella normally. There are the loops which you can put stuff hanging but those are not for me. But for 120€ I paid I'm bloody happy. Next option at that time I ordered would have been to go for Grip for 250€ and that is lot of food or discs.
    #Addition: The loadout is two putters and four "approach" discs at top compartments and for main eleven drivers and 4 midranges and could probably snug in two more drivers or a midrange.

    I have had the mvp voyager BP 1 for over a year now and I still use it. So to see this here makes me feel great that I'm going to order the newer version. The way mvp remodeled the voyager from the first version reminds me of a grip-eq style bag but at a much more reasonable rate. If my old voyager is still running strong this 1 should last a lifetime. Thanks for the review 🤙🏾

    Great information. After watching few and going through the websites I could not get info for two questions which you addressed perfectly. First is the bottle holders and do they have a strap, dang no. Bit of disappointment and currently could be a deal breaker. Also that the side pockets can actually fit sweater or light jacket was great info. Seems to be one of the best at the price range when comes to rigidity, overall size, and storage space. You made a sale for local disc golf store with this clip. If they have any at stock as Finland seems to start run out of equipment and discs once again when spring comes and the obvious situation around the globe has boosted the sales for year now.

      @@jaboc83 Just looked into end. I'll try to remember to post update for mine after some rounds and then later in the summer for wear and tear (if any). I'm going for the Axiom version but same bag overall and I feel that there is not enough proper info for these midrange bags. And where ever I ask for anything for a moderately priced bag, answer is straight away "Only Grip!" When those are unreachable for many without spending way too much of their monthly income into it.

    You probably don't have this bag anymore, but did you notice the bottom edges starting to wear due to the feet being so short? Also, does the side hold a disc retriever stick tight? I don't think those two things would be a deal breaker, especially since they are only $80.00 now. Thanks, nice review!

    • @jaboc83
      @jaboc83  Рік тому +2

      There's starting to be a tiny bit of wear on the one side, but nothing crazy. A retriever holds tight enough to not fall out easily but it's not super snug. See here: photos.app.goo.gl/CtvYY2aFrWHVY5Dd9

    Really nice review! This one really helped on deciding which bag to choose. I still have one question about the main disc pocket. I have older version of Prodigy BP-2 bag and in that bag the main pocket is very accessible and its very easy to get your discs in and out. Is that same in this MVP Voyager? Its seems that opening of the pocket is smaller and discs are like deeper in the pocket than in the Prodigy bag.

    • @jaboc83
      @jaboc83  3 роки тому

      I find it just as easy to get discs in and out of the main pocket as most bags. The only thing I have noticed is that if you stuff it full then the discs on the ends can catch on the smaller opening a bit more on the way in and out. I haven't noticed that being a huge problem though and I just tend to keep my less used utility discs on the ends.

      @@jaboc83 Thank you for the information and I think that many bags have difficulties to get discs in and out from the sides of the main pocket, if they are fully packed. All in all this one seems to have very good quality and features compared to the price of it so I think I will get one and your review really helped on that decision!

    Great review! I have a MVP Shuttle bag and I think this will be my next upgrade. I've heard some complaints about the feet on the v1 bags being uncomfortable on the lower back. Have you noticed that at all?

      Thanks! So far it's been fantastic. I used the bag for roughly half the season on it's own before moving it into the zuca bag cart so that obviously cuts down on wear and tear, but I have a few friends that still shoulder them and have had no issues.

    Great review! I do have a question though.. Does the back section of this bag also have plastic panels that make it a more 'stiffer' bag? If that doesn't make sense, let me know! ha

    Would you say side pockets are wide enough at the bottom to hold a softball or baseball? They just look a bit narrow.

    • @jaboc83
      @jaboc83  3 роки тому +1

      I'm assuming you are talking about the little ones on the outside where I have my mini? If so then yes a baseball fits, but a softball would be too large. Also a hockey puck fits nicely.
