    I'm prior military. First and foremost, your " guy " manager should be reprimanded for this by his manager. I'm a manager at Universal Studios Orlando, and I have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to this behavior. On two separate occasions, I've had two female colleagues subjected to similar circumstances, in which you described. I followed each one to there car to make sure they were safe and always had a open door policy for this sort of behavior. Glad your ok, and security was on top of it. Disney security is great, but seems as though your boss could use some more additional training..

      @Bob Smith You can thank me or any veteran for allowing you to have the freedoms to Express your thoughts openly, as you just did.. Either you dont understand, or do.. but just want some attention. There, you got it.. I'll let you have the last word, because you seem to be 'that guy who needs it'. Enjoy!! Later..

    The “boy leaders” who do not take this seriously need to be reported up the chain of command; for them to excuse it makes them complicit in sexual harassment, which is exactly what this is. Sadly we women have been taught to say “I’m sorry” when rebuffing this crap; even Disney can’t scold you for telling them “this is inappropriate please leave”. The next call should have been to Disney Security or Orange County Sheriff. And this does sound just as scary as you say it felt-TRUST YOUR INSTINCTS! You felt threatened and you had every right to such feelings!

    Allie, I worked at Disney World as a Costumer, & I had one of My girls come to me saying there was a creep following her around the Park...I proceeded to take of My costumer shirt & what's called 'black out' because you're all in black undershirt & pants...Got a hold of my Security Friend...& We literally went out both grabbed the guy by each arm...& physically hauled him off to Disney Jail where he was 'booked' & 'banned' from entering the Park again...It really ticks me off when non-performing Cast Members such as yourself tell me your Managers & Co-workers make light about stalkers...They need thrown out & that's it!

      @AllieStamper  6 років тому +10

      The comments are referring to how men "can't control themselves" because in my video, I mention how my male leader says to me, "Sometimes men can't help it." I never said all men are like that. I even mention that I don't think that is true and it's unfair to categorize all men like that. That's why I made this video, cause it's an abnormal situation. People are just referring to that statement. Not being feminist.

    They were adamant that you were going to have a drink with them. My guess is that drink would contain a drug to knock you out. They were pretty brazen to stalk you for that long in a public place.

    • @michaelb.8953
      @michaelb.8953 6 років тому +14

      Michelle Great point! They even went to so far to entertain the idea of bringing a drink to her at her place of employment. Something's telling me they've done this before in a similar scenario and it worked. All they wanted to do was get a drink in her and they knew she would have been putty in their hands.

      @@taffysaur there are drugs that dont make you unconscious they simply make you pliable and easy to control. Had they gotten some of that into her system they could have easily lead her out of the park so it looked like she wanted to go with them and then sold her into a sex trafficking ring

    Ugh. I had a similar situation in retail. A similar store where you need to be super friendly and accommodating. When I didn’t go with a man he said he would wait outside for me that night at ___ time. Freakishly the time he said was when I got off the clock. My boss sensed I was uneasy and when I told him he walked me to my car so I could leave 30 mins early. Managers should be really accommodating with this stuff. The friendliness has to be toward employees as well. It’s sick how many women have to deal with these things, but ain’t am glad you were also okay.

    I am a guy. Relatively large, bearded, a few more muscles than the next guy, and ugly. I ride a Harley in my spare time. I love Disney World, and the best part of WDW, of any Disney experience for that matter, are the Cast Members. MY wife and I just love you folks and the way you are dedicated to making our visits wonderful. Some of them are very young and very attractive. I may be over 60, but I notice. I started shaking while listening to your story, Allie. I have two daughters who are both young and attractive. This is exactly the kind of situation that gave me nightmares while they were growing up (they're both older than you). I am glad you are OK and it never got any further than it did. It also bothers me that creeps like that are stalking a wholesome place like WDW. All I want to ask is whether you could report your male supervisors for trying to send you back out on the sales floor when those creeps were stalking you? Wouldn't HR want to know about that?

  • @stemikger
    @stemikger 6 років тому +35

    You said it doesn't sound scary when you are telling it now. I disagree, it sounds very scary and disturbing. If you were my daughter and I could have found those guys I would have wished I could kill them. That is so damn serious and shame on the Disney Managers who didn't take it serous at first. Years ago, my wife and I noticed two older guys walking around Typhoon Lagoon and they looked really weird and like they were up to something. I was keeping my eye on them and they were getting really close to young girls in the wave pool and were trying to touch them when the waves crashed. I told security and I'm not sure if anything was done about it, but I really wanted to beat the crap out of them.

    The real problem is that it's probably not just this person who those two creeps were harassing. It could easily have been one of the guests who are probably less aware of their surroundings with the excitement of being at the park; maybe they *did* go after another person when they got the hint that she was not about to let them harass her. Security should've been called ASAP to ensure the safety of not just her, but everyone in the park.

    I worked merchandizing at Hollywood Studios for my ICP and during the Holidays we had this purchase with purchase throw, so I was ringing up two guys’ purchase and I offered them the pwp and they said “yeah no, I want your number”. And I told them I couldn’t give them my number and they kept insisting and getting more and more intense, but thankfully my manager saw I was uncomfortable and asked me to go backstage and got rid of them. But still, SUCH CREEPS.

The second a guy comes up and questions him he acts like a kicked puppy, it's so bizarre honestly.

    God I keep hearing terrible stories involving WDW Cast Member Managers. Like you always see the happy lower level CM's (like yourself) who usually need up leaving because of terrible treatment - and every single one of them has absolute horror stories about how terrible, incompetent, and just don't give a shit type attitude that the managers have. I wonder why thats the case, you would hope that the enthusiastic amazing CM's who decide to stay would work their way up the ranks and become good managers but clearly that isn't happening. Sorry that you were treated like that. (Both by the creeper guests and by your managers who clearly either didnt believe you or worse just didnt care about you remotely).
    I'm a frequent WDW visitor (AP & DVC member) and its easy to not realize all of the garbage that most of the CM's have to put up with. Thanks for still making it a magical place for all the non-stalker guests despite having to deal with that.

    For those of you that don't know there's a very serious and very real social hierarchy at Disney World. The seniority and levels of authority are very real even if you, personally, don't care for them. Managers (what we call 'Leaders') and Coordinators are the ones that tell us what to do and there really isn't the option to say 'No'. Like, if you get told to do something you have to do it even if it's something crazy like going back onstage to be harrassed by guests. It's very easy to get fired at Disney if you're not willing to listen to your leaders because the control they have is immense. I've worked a lot of places in Disney and honestly it's the management that gets me more than the guests; they're very unlikely to help you or empathize. This experience she had is honestly not uncommon, I've had uncomfortable situations like that too with fellow cast members and I cant do anything because it would be breaking character which is a HUGE no-no.
    Nevermind the fact that Disney male cast members can be very, very sexist. Like the amount of shit I've heard backstage directed towards women is unimaginable. Which is surprising because merchandise cast members are 90% women; like you'd think there would be more understanding and more equality but its like the exact opposite. It's crazy the social hierarchy like, until you've seen it or experienced it you cant understand. It's not even like a regular work area with gossip and shit, DW is so huge it's basically a whole fucking town. You do some shit somewhere in another park and it finds you in a completely different one I swear to god.

    Watching this after the Brett Kavanaugh incident ... this is just another story of how some men just don't get it. How dare your manager make you go out when you told him you were concerned for your safety. I would make sure he got additional training as he is obviously incompetent on ensuring employee safety. I'm glad you posted this video!! This aggressive behavior by men must stop and should not be tolerated. I'm glad you are safe

    Wow. I came across this video by accident, and decided to watch it. That is creepy. What is wrong with people?! And not just the stalking creeps; but your manager, as well? As a leader - hell, as a human being - they should know that protecting the members of their staff is more important than any work that has to be done on the floor! That’s crazy! I’m glad you had at least one co-worker that saw the need to come to your aid and that, eventually, security was called. I’m so sorry such a creepy and scary thing as that happened to you. The behavior of the guests was way out of line, very early on - even before they approached you! I’m glad you are okay.

    I used to work at Disney springs and all my coworkers and I would walk to the parking lot in pairs because it's so spooky going alone. It's a long, like ten minute, walk and if you're alone, at night without a ton of street lights, in an area where you know people have been drinking and maybe isn't the safest, and it's totally reasonable that you would be worried.

  • @cassiedeehoo
    @cassiedeehoo 6 років тому

    Wow!!! That is truly scary!!! The first red flag was that they were asking such a young person about a bar, but I can see where that would be something that is expected of all cast members to know. The huge enormous Red Flag is asking about a bar with a Couch. As soon as you said that, It was obvious their intentions. Everything those guys were saying and doing was wrong. They did get the hint, they just knew what they were doing and they didn't get the answer they wanted.
    Shame on whoever was in charge and didn't immediately call security because of their own stupid ideas of "someone not being able to help themselves". As if it's okay for anyone to do anything "because they can't help themselves". Who decides what your boundaries are? Let me guess . . . the other person(s) who can't help themselves. I'm very familiar with people like that.
    You were asking for help and no one was taking you seriously and pushing you back into a highly dangerous situation just because they lacked insight and common sense.
    It's obvious those creepy guys thought they could pressure you into going to the bar. They were going to drug you, which is why they were going to bring you the drink. Those two creepy guys are really horrible. Who knows how many times they've done that before and, or will do.
    This is one of those situations where because those creepy guys didn't succeed, then there are people who don't want to take the situation for as serious as it was. It would have been great if one of the people in charge had contacted security sooner, if anything it might have discouraged those creepy guys from seeking a victim at that amusement park.
    Halfway through your story I was already terrified and thought Oh my God why isn't someone calling security like now!!!
    I'm so glad that someone who obviously has good sense about them helped you and had the good insight to call security. That was a traumatic experience I hope you're better and healing from that trauma.

    Girl. You’re so smart to stand your ground and continue to say no because this is how women and children get trafficked. They’re too nice and give in. People don’t realize that this kind of thing actually happens at Disney and it’s a little scary. You’re not the first person I’ve heard similar stories from.

    I’m so glad nothing too serious happened. This kind of reminds me what had happened to one of my coworkers. I wasn’t working this day, but she told me about this later. I work at a small town burger joint (best hamburgers EVER) and the one old guy came in one day. He’s really creepy his eyes aren’t always lined up straight. So she’s ringing him up and he says, “I know you’re a bit too young to date me, but I think you have a cute a**” and so she just smiles awkwardly and finishes ringing him up then went to the back room to tell our manager. None of us can talk to him except to ring him up. He stopped coming in as often.

    I completely know what that felt like from personal experience. I worked at Six Flags for a few years and my second year a guest started followong me around the park and eventually got a job at the same park as me. He continued tp stalk and harrass me all the way through the rest of the season. HR never did anything about it until I left the company. It sucks when your place of employment doesn't take the claims seriously amd just lets it slide by.

    Ok, so I LOVE Disney but I will say that Disney clearly needs to train there team leaders and management on how to deal with people like that and on sexual harassment situations, because you were harassed by staff and guests. The men were definitely up to no good and for the male teamleaders to just dismiss it is just as disturbing as what the 2 guests were doing. So glad someone finally stepped and that you followed your gut to keep yourself safe.

    honestly, there is a fine line between harmless flirting and harassment/stalking. that guy employee that was looking out for you and the lady manager that finally had radio'd security for you were awesome and actually helped the best they could without making a huge scene. the guy manager that was acting as if you were exaggerating the situation should have gotten in trouble for misjudging the situation. that could have took a very bad turn. luckily, in the end, you got help and that you're okay.

    That's frustrating. If a guest ever makes my cast feel uncomfortable, let alone actually stalk them, you best believe I would be calling security. We all have work to do, and you should be able to do it in a safe environment.

    I know the feeling... I work in retail and I had a repeat customer older guy like old enough to be my dad. stair hard core at me and would walk and look at me at the same time it gave me chills im 28 sooo he's old old. It got so bad I had a panic attack and one of the mangers told him he needed to stop or will be kicked out. I wish he never come back. But since he doesn't say anything or do anything to me they can't kick him out. But I walk away when I see him and hide. It still freaks me out...

    Glad that they called security. Working fantasmic a few years ago we had guest who were reported to be looking for girls to put into sex trafficking. I was petrified because I had to walk 2 miles back to my car and there would be these people wearing suits in the lot asking girls to go with them. Come to find out they were trying to kidnap a girl apart of our team. Be super careful! My coordinators didnt even care and that is what made me leave the company. You never know what could happen until it does. Glad you are safe.
