I was the lucky sod who secretly commissioned a piece for my wife. After the video was over, I handed her your note. and she looked quite confused. The I handed her the box and she opened it up. She immediately started weeping. I wish you hadn't put that picture of your dad in there Bill. After we got rid of the picture and she saw the sweet doodlebot, she cried again, but this time tears of joy and amazement. It now has pride of place in her wonder cabinet. Thanks so much Bill! We both adore the little guy!
Glad I made your wife cry... instead of mine for a change.
In Bill's village lives a sad little boy whose summer time dreams are constantly crushed. Every weekend he runs to the pound shop to buy a water pistol but finds them sold out. In desperation he turns to the squirt bottle section, only to find another empty shelf.
Boo f#ckin' hoo! Shouldve got his arse out of bed earlier.
As they say, the early Bill catches the Greebly.
"Why are all the markers always out? Who is buying all the markers!?"

Hilarious
Lmao. Brilliant ! When I read this I heard the voice of Jeremy Iron's narrating.
A very good ep! This feels like the culminating finale of Phase One of the BCU. So much jam packed into this one. Love the finger gun on your favorite bot.
Phase 2 will just be me picking glue of the table...
Uncle Bill, this one right here...
Mannnn, if I had to pick a single video of yours to be the "evergreen video" on your channel, it would be this one.
You covered so much ground, and it was a joy to behold! Also, bigtime RESPECT for all the editing (and I saw those angle changes! ;)) that went into it.
Outstanding.
Thank very much mate! I really appreciate it. Every video I see of yours makes me want to make a better video anyway so some of the credit goes to you!
Hey Crafsman, love all y'all do, did you see that bit at 2:24? And Bill, first video I've seen. Instant sub, keep em coming, and I'm gonna wander through your other vids. Cheers.
@@BillMakingStuff You guys are both hugely inspiring and it's great to see you raising each other up out here in the public forum :)
@@GrugTheJust :D That was slick! (Thanks, Bill! ;) )
@@TheCrafsMan at 2:26 described as (old toy things) the little orange toy was yours
It's crazy how the primer just absolutely unifies the whole thing when it's done. That one solid color just makes the entire thing look like a solid piece. It's incredible
It’s my favourite part of scratch building
I have a paperclip tatoo on my arm cause I used to make robots outta paperclips, pens, erasers any thing i could find in the school halls. Love these doodle bot guys
Firstly, I just love watching people make little robots. Doodling is my favorite form of drawing, and you my friend have now introduced those two things into one beautiful doodlebot thing. I am, forever in your debt, oh mighty one.
Secondly, this video is simply fantastic! A calm quite voice, golden comedy, A grade editing, and a man that looks like Obi Wan? What's not to love! I'm going to have to try and make some of those doodlebots.
I also Love the choice of music.
Its MY music. And thanks for your kind words
this is the kind of video i was looking for when i found your channel, someone showing a basic guide to stick trash and make it look good... 200% worth the wait, and the bots look great, now i demand a #doodlebot challenge, the comunity needs it bill...
Glad I could help
30:38 "should probably let you get off now" - that's what your dad said
I can't decide whether the tips, the Death Valley level dry humor, or the lore is my favorite part.
A tip I've learned from many UA-cam mini painters about dry brushing: use a slightly damp brush, and wipe your paint off on something that's not absorbent. That keeps the paint from getting chalky.
Finally!! The stuff my bot dreams are made of!
ew
@@BillMakingStuff Ew???
@@LaserGadgets your bot dreams
@@BillMakingStuff Yeah.....and?? Don't tell me you never dream of making a bot!
LIAR >< oh, too soon....go ahead.
Laser loves Bots!!!
The important thing, Bill, is that you made a video that you felt was good enough. I'm sure you put in a lot of hard work.
Oh, that before/after primer montage! Always a treat!
honestly, that primer coat is just magic. Great work - nice editing!
There is so much heart, kindness and goodness in this frogbots you built, I literally cant even, bro!
I love it!
Best junk handling I've seen in a long time
I seriously love your humor. Keeps me chuckling throughout your videos.
For those wondering how Uncle Bill glues together plastics 3:44 The next tip, are the bits, the tips of the bits, bits from the tip…yeah this one 5:31 Putting together your bits 7:09 Get your rivets together 9:34 Some angle box for miter to do some cutting, like in 4…5…45… 12:16 Get some nice tunes out from a go’looking bits box 16:41 Get some good foam from EVA 19:44 Greble…Greeble? 23:17
Now, a little secret. Bill already made the tags for all of this, they are in the description part. But, if you skip that part and go straight for the comments here you go. Also, didn’t know what to right. Cuz Bi.., sorry, Uncle Bill said to like, subscribe and I did. So…here’s my comment I guess. Na, but seriously awesome video. I finally found the purpose for all the bits I used to get from underneath the racks, clothes racks in stores. I knew there wasn’t anything weird or wrong with me…
I'm not commenting just for the algorithm... no, I'm not: I love this content!!! This channel is the best!!! More! More! More! I hope Ultron is listening
Honestly these really look like something you'd see in a retro-sci-fi setting like Fallout or something.
The one with the treads is definitely the best of the bunch.
Never thought about doing any of this with junk. My goodness, junk and super glue. Really brilliant. Thanks for the inspiration, excellent models and editing!
Came for the doodlebots. Stayed for the rambling.
Bad dad jokes, that's one of the reasons I watch this channel... 🙂
Some cool doodlebots made on this episode!
Nice to see you back building stuff Bill
Thank you very much mate!
Turned on the notification bell cause despite spying on me constantly UA-cam clearly doesn’t know me well enough to put these bangers vids in front of me on a timely basis
I sit here waiting for Eric to comment... been days. Just waiting for Boylei now... could be weeks
I only discovered your channel this morning around 7am... it's now almost 3pm and I'm still watching! I have things to do today, Bill, how dare you
Sorry
I like the robot with the tank tracks.
I know people have already said this, but I think this is my favorite episode you've done yet, all the great info in one place! Super super well done production-wise all around as well! And the bots turned out so lovely and full of character as always~
Thank you very much! All down hill from here!
These are next level. So good. Might as well trash all your old bots cause they suck now. Just huck em in a paper shredder until it breaks and then set it on fire. Good job btw
Those doodlebots are really neat looking. The painting looks great and gives them a nice worn finish.
Hello , I am French . Your creations are very good ! I love your imagination 😊
I’m absolutely obsessed with this channel. You’re hilarious. It really brightens my day
Not only is this episode everything I've been looking for, but that font is EXCELLENT!
Such a joy watching all your videos, the creativity and skill is strong in you. Do thank your brother, Daniel, for sending me your way.
I will not...
I really like these builds. I think of all the potential robots I've not given a chance at life to by throwing away all my junk. I feel ashamed. Love the work you put into your videos. Thanks for the great content.
Anyone who comments negative about such a funny dude is just projecting their miserable character. Ignore them good sir. Your content is awesome 👌
This type of stuff kept me busy when I was very young. obviously incomparable to your robots, but I was handy with wires back then, with the spiral parts of notebooks mostly. I did robots and robot arms for broken toys, replacement head, endlessly enjoyable toys for a poor kid, and it was so much fun. I missed those good ol days, I am reminded by it with your work. Thanks for sharing em!
I loved all the extra tips! It was so much fun to get to watch you doodle!
It’s always a joy for me to watch you creating!❤
im gonna give a advice to anyone watching this video. Im a professional concept artist, i draw stuff that doesnt exist everyday. i have 5 years in the game industry working everyday creating new things. This skill of seeing things and using itss shapes and textures to create something new is a really , really hard skill that even i, with a bigger visual library than 99% of the world still cant do as well as bill. If you feel your creations suck, dont worry, keep creating, inventing and trying stuff, it takes time and its not a regular thing to do.
Cheers
I love the effort you put into these.
No idea why I'm watching though, but the videos are quite satisfying along with the ASMR naration.
Glad to have you back Bill 😁 , Bot madness 🤣
So I've been meaning to tell youu that I am also obsessed with glue and pow. Thought I was the only one, and seeing you do that the first couple times really solidified my sub to you back then. I saw some a hole a long time ago that said that's how the military fixed scratches and dings in helicopter paint. Then you can sand it and paint it. You knows. I literally have glued things to my car this way and it really works. bills the best
thats very interesting. Maybe I should scratchbuild a life size chopper
Do iit
I'd suffice if you made the big landwalker with lights though
I’ve finally figured out what your videos remind me of! Your scratch builds look like they’re an entire iSpy book page made into one big thingy. You should make a build that’s meant to not be painted
Placeholder comment to induce UA-cam algorithm to treat Bill with a modicum of respect.
Welcome back. Nice to have you back at it. #doodlebots well done. Lots of great ideas and tips.
The youtube algorithm needs to know that Bill is awesome
Watched several of your videos and you have become one of my favorite content creators on UA-cam. Thank you for your work. Everything about you is awesome. I absolutely love all your creations. Cheers!
This is literally my childhood dream.
Yay Bill! A lovely return to the medium!
Thanks Bill, now I know what I gonna do with my life.
the pacing and quirkiness of your videos is amazing!
Love you work, and the time you put in it
Well done! My favourite kind of build!
This is such a charming and clever art form - I never thought of it before!
ill comment because i know youtube algorithms love engagement and i love this video
Quality tiny rivet placing
I love your rambling so much
30 minute video. Nice 👌
enjoy
@@BillMakingStuff
Always do. Good job, mate.
I haven’t felt more inspired by anything in years. Awesome video, sir
come on Bill, this isn't Bill Rambling Stuff... although I would listen to that
Fantastic video and tips! Love the little crafsman toy cameo! 😁
I learned so much from this! You have my deepest gratitude.
every joke in this video made me laugh, but what really got me was the water sounds when you were filling up the egg with hot glue
Im always amazed at how good your bead bots come out, i tried doing mine and after about 15 trials I gave up on making their claw/hand thingies so there is just the torso and legs. Love your humour and good to see you back!
Glad you like them!
I came here for the spray bottle parts, I was not disappointed! Fantastic video as always, really enjoyed this one!
The best making stuff video yet. !
Thanks
This is one of my favorite episodes you've done, I love kitbashing and this kind of stuff makes me want to start kitbashing on my channel to share my builds. Thank you for being an inspiration.
Thats alright
I think this was a blender tutorial, im glad i found this channel
Sir, you have inspired me. I've already collected a nice pile of stuff and will turn it into a thing. Thank you.
Now, the answers to the question for "life, the universe and everything" has an addition. Now it is '42 + Bill, Episode 26'!
Well worth the wait
Ramble on man, love the stuff.
How have I only just found this? My new favourite channel.
HEY BILL ITS ME RAQUEL AND I WATCHED THIS VIDEO! All the bots came out absolutely darling. My favorite was the daddy long legs. I have been hemming and hawing about getting myself a dremel but now I might bite the bullet 😬
Thanks for watching! Get one, I was a bit dubious but its so handy
I enjoy your rambling
Bill, you brighten my day.
THank you!!! This is wonderful!!!!
So many ideas. I might have to do some more digital bots. After I did the first I see why you love them.
i loved the 1 and 4 in in the glamour shots
I COMPLETLY LOVE ALL YOUR PROCESS, and your voice its so relaxing
Thanks Bill! now you have me second guessing throwing anything out. I want to save everything now. Like I needed that!
Pure inspiration; and funny, too.
These are all brilliant. I've been a found object robot artist for 7 years now. I work in old metal junk parts but here recently, I've become intrigued by kit bashing and scratch-building with plastic parts, etc. I find it highly fascinating and Bill's channel is the best.
What would be quite interesting, would be just an episode of some of your creatures doing their thing. Just sound effects, bit of background music or mood sounds. Something to ponder perhaps?
Incredible!! How can one not be inspired by this!!
yeah, I guess...
Awesome to see another scratch-mech builder on UA-cam. Subbed.
Loved to see how these 'evolved' and a couple of them made me think 'what if the Aliens from the film of the same name, were to make sentinels to watch over a conquered planet? ' anyway that passed and I enjoyed the rest of it immensely. In the words of NUTS magazine...Good work fella :)
I enjoy your ramblings :)
Really enjoyed this episode, thanks for keeping up the good work and sharpening that dry whit! Love the content ❤️
I can't get enough of your videos! You are so funny, and good at making stuff! Thanks for the content!
You're welcome
Really great stuff. I like tips. Cheers, take care.
Just wonderful…. Subscribed!
This video was amazing! I loved all the tips shared in it and I’m really exited to try them out myself.
I could watch you build doodlebots all day long!!!
Great information! Cheers!
First video of you're I've watched (thanks youtube algo) and it feels like I'm hanging out with a good friend who's telling me about a hobby of his.
Welcome aboard!
Despite the fact that I'm basically watching a bloke in a cupboard, chuntering to himself...
... this video was HUGELY inspiring 😉👍
great job! .. love this stuff
