One things for sure, the MG-43 Machine Gun has got its fair share of buffs. Huge W’s as of late! It did take an L on the Bot front however. The Stagger Force increase from 15-20 made it harder to kill Heavy Devastators from the front. The severe flinch causes their shield to pull up in front of their face blocking all incoming fire. If they fix that, I’d jump through my roof with joy! The weapon is so much fun to use on both fronts.
@Herminus_II I just set the shot speed higher and do burst fire, I can usually suppress them pretty good for a bit while killing anyone else near them
@@Grimmance There’s work arounds for sure. I usually shoot of their gun or go for the legs or backpack depending on terrain and elevation. You can even aim for the shoulder joint, that’ll give you the best odds but it still gets covered up 90% of the time. Point I was getting at is that the Mg-43 was much better for bots before the change. Heavy Devastators (relatively speaking) were just as easy to kill as the other Devastator Variants. It’s frustrating knowing what it could/ should/ was able to do when all it needs is a simple fix (to the MG-43 or a reduction to Heavy Devastator flinch) and it would be a thousand times better.
Just wanna say you have some of the best “let’s play” Helldivers content on youtube man. You’re good at the game and your commentary is calm and collected. I enjoy how you test weapons and stratagems I don’t really want to bother with testing myself. Edit: 17:24 is amazing lmao
If I'm running the mg/hmg I try to always take stun nades. Its my counter to hulks/chargers to get behind and mag dump into the weak spots. I'm also an avid fan of the precision strike for tankier mobs. I'm also that weirdo that brings strafing run and the ar turret on 9s.
Strafing run is no joke. I enjoyed it before, but now it's hard not to bring it. Just a near instant fuck you to most things in front of me, sometimes everything
For me a jet pack implies some form of flight, hovering or flying, while a jump pack is for assisted jumping or landing from great heights. Jump packs tend to either be not as powerful as a jet pack or can only operate in bursts before fuel or heat become limiting factors.
18:06 If i was in his shoes, i would have called my turret on the edge, then it would have bounced right behind a rock and would have been completly useless, that's how it would have gone for me, that's why im not a turret master.
the best tool for using machine guns is the simple machine gun turret. Super low CD and keeps everything clear around you for when you need to reload. Never leave your home without it
high rpm is particularly good for tap firing so you can get bursts of 2-3 shots out faster to get quick and efficient kills while low RPM is ideal for sustained fire.
take the gundog instead of the shield, it will do a significantly better job keeping things off your back while you are reloading and will save ammo on your MMG.
What i like to take is the machine gun, explosive crossbow, and instead of gas grenades i take stun grenades and an armor with the engineer kit passive with the 500 kilo and orbital gas strike
Glad they added beach ball physics to the baby bubble. Needs to be some kind of downside to it besides just eating stratagem and back slot. It makes the game trivial otherwise. Bugdivers don't know about cover. Run charger into rocks and they wont beach ball you.
Im sorry, In last comment i write Adjuster, but i ment Tenderizer. just in case you want to read it, but don't want to look for it, i will copy 'n paste it in a comment. (with fixes) I really love AR-61 and i think it is really neat gun with amaizing sound. You absolutly must check it about, goblin mode shred through groups of bugs like hot knife through butter.
You need to try out the new Tenderizer. It’s great for all rangies. After the nerf to the Bile Spewers' (big, green, fat, artillery bugs) head armor, it can shred them. Just toggle to 850 RPM and aim for the head (I’m not entirely sure, but it’s definitely true against nursing spewers). The same tactic works against the brood and alpha commander (I think-I play up to level 8 max, so they’re still pretty rare for me). I like to pair it with a pocket shotgun for dealing with stalkers and as a quick-reaction anti-hunter option. For grenades, I suggest something to close up bug-lochs, like frags or incendiary impact. Termite grenades will also do the job if you’ve already taken the Grenade Launcher (grd.laun.). A supply bag is always a good idea, especially given the extremely high rate of fire and limited mag capacity. As for the support weapon, we need something with a similarly poor ammo economy, like a grenade launcher or a flamethrower (I go with the flame, but you probably already know that). Finally, light or medium armor with the corresponding passive is key (grd.laun. - Fortified, flamwerh - Firefighter [he’s currently in the super store, so it’s a great time to grab him if you don’t have him already-he looks gorgeous, especially with the Death Korps of Krieg helmet]). Again, you really have to try it. I love the new Adjudicator even more than the previous version
Jump pack lowkey better than shield pack. 1 its a lot more fun plus not a bouncy castle and Secondly and more importantly if you time it right you can jump in the air while reloading at the same time.
I Very much Like the machine gun with torcher (primary flamethrower), grenade pistol and termites. For stratagems I’m taking MG, Eagle 500, Eagle Airstrike and Orbital Napalm barrage. Most of the time one of my Mates has a backpack which they can call down a little later.
No k don’t think they should make the stalwart a primary. I think the stalwart is cool and having to balance it as a primary weapon would take away what I enjoy from it. They should just make it a good support weapon
Gods I wish folks would stop using the damned bugs as their benchmarks. Bugs have all-melee units, swarm in large numbers, but also have much less armor across the board _AND_ sizeable weakpoints than makes mowing through anything but their heaviest units an absolute breeze even with mere light-penetration weapons... Let alone Medium. Try this on the _bots_ and get back to us. Disgraceful.

Drop the shield, take the jet pack. Boost away and reload mid air. You're welcome.
@@marksmith9369 already doing that

MG43 can also take down spore spewers and shrieker's nests. Its not the most efficient way, but it can be done
Can confirm.
MG43+supplypack+EATS+orbitalgas+gas grenades+cookout+grenadepistol is the way, the truth and the light
If I'm running the mg/hmg I try to always take stun nades. Its my counter to hulks/chargers to get behind and mag dump into the weak spots.

I always take the thermite when running an mg loadout, at least vs bugs

Expertly said.
In a game, one must tell the world wich knowledge one has of said equipment 😂
Ngl, the machinegun sentry unloading onto the Impaler and rounds ricocheting all over was very fun to watch, if only *very* frustrating to live xD

Brilliant, I’m doing this next time 👌🏻

Since most of weapons and stratagems are useful now. Could you make a video with random weapons chosen by lucky wheel or other randomizer?
Yessssss
I'd like to see a primary randomly chosen, and 2 strategems randomly chosen....then building a kit around the randomized slots.
It chooses the ems strike 💀
If you ain't reloading your machinegun in midair with a jetpack, then you ain't doing it right, and that's a fact.
The machine gun is my main I just can't stop running it!
Was running this loadout with the jump pack, too much fun!
Before and after i always use MG43 because i love mowing down enemies with conventional bullet
take the gundog instead of the shield, it will do a significantly better job keeping things off your back while you are reloading and will save ammo on your MMG.
Great video and interesting loadout )
Ive been running this build but with Supply Pack soley to spam Gas/Stun grenades when I reload. And honestly 15 MG mags is so fun to have constantly
The MG does amazing against the bugs.
Mg-43 tech: you can reload it while mid air after using the jump-pack
Jet pack = actually fly. Jump pack is what it's actually called in game and is most accurate
What i like to take is the machine gun, explosive crossbow, and instead of gas grenades i take stun grenades and an armor with the engineer kit passive with the 500 kilo and orbital gas strike
23:45 they do have heavy target aiming if you buy that upgrade for your cruiser
Is the heavy machine gun good? Always has been. Still glad it got even more love!
Eh the durable damage nerf and the angled ap nerf it got in the last patch was pretty bad and really hurts it.
I unironically use this on bugs now. I pair with the blitzer to manage less ammo and to always have a safe backup when i need to buy time to reload.
Glad they added beach ball physics to the baby bubble. Needs to be some kind of downside to it besides just eating stratagem and back slot. It makes the game trivial otherwise. Bugdivers don't know about cover. Run charger into rocks and they wont beach ball you.
Try jet pack over shield, reload mid air plus extra fun

I use this combo often and is good, but I prefer the jump pack.
Maybe toxin sprayer backpack can help cc close bugs?
You could drop the shield pack and pick it up after every time you dodge a charger xd
8:03 Pre charger turning nerf you would have been dead
without the space optimization the machine gun starts with 2 extra mags before the buff it was only 1
i can't run anything but the supply pack with the mg43, because i can't be bothered by matters like 'conserving ammo by using low rpm'
Broski you gotta protect the rocket turrets. At 17:10 you just watched it get swarmed while wasting your ammo shooting the bile titan
With jump pack you can reload MG mid-flight
You gets used to the high fire rate recoil and just bury fire the small guys to save Ammo and unload in to larger groups with the high fire rate
Can u make a video of your top 5 or so favorite loadouts
Heavy MG can kill hulks in a 3-4 shots to the eye, wonder what it can do agains the nids
Bro, you gotta be Canadian
I still haven't bought the knives.
Jump pack lowkey better than shield pack. 1 its a lot more fun plus not a bouncy castle and Secondly and more importantly if you time it right you can jump in the air while reloading at the same time.
Absolutely agree. The Jump Pack and MG-43 pair very well together.
By far my favourite combo.
Especially with the reworked jetpack.
Jump pack has gotten me out of situations the shield pack could never
The pack really helps heavy armor users get around faster. And the rag doll damage is less punishing

Accuracy by volume 🗿
I play with max rpm and take the supply pack.
Imma try this against bots
I can't get over the slow handling. Poor handling basically forces me to main arc thrower as a chaf clear.
The stalward need to be a primary. The mg43 need to have reload on the move like the flame thrower!
Or they could give ARs actually good ammo economy rather than make them all irrelevant with stalwart
@@adamporter3402yep they'd have to make big nerfs to the stalwart to not make it the only ar picked
