I got an 86 Pontiac areocoupe. It’s not all stock anymore. It was just a pig. It had no get up and go. I made the decision that I’m not gonna sell it, so I’m making it into what I want. All the suspension had been rebuilt with tubular control arms, and I’m running 2” drop spindles. I wanna go to the Blazer spindle, so I can have better brakes up front. I’ll look into the Belltech spindles. I’ll probably try the stock S-10 calipers first, and see if they’re any better. I’m running 15” race car wheels, and worried about clearance. I plan to run bigger wheels in the future, but I just want to improve my braking for now. Thanks for sharing your advice!
I did the samething tom my 1984 buick regal but i used the 2005 c6 z51 calipers and disck brakes as well as the same brackets you are using and sane belltech drop spindles. Only issues i ran into the belltech spindles is i has to drill the upper ball joint hole on the spindles a bit bigger because i couldn't get the ball joint to sit far enough to put the cotter pin in after tightening the nut on and i also had to do it to the out tie rod hole i dont know if its because i ordered the ball joints and tie rods from amazon or what the deal was. I gotofy belltech spindles off of a 2002 2wd extreme blazer. I ordered the stock caliper brake lines but the are a bit to long im thinking of getting the stock blazer brake lines.
The area you had to grind flat are strengthening ribs they're not for aesthetics but you're not going to affect the integrity of it by taking off the little amount of material you did
You're also the only person that I've seen used the right tool to do the grinding the die grinder and a carbide burr it's definitely the best way to do it. I have a set of extra long carbide bars They weren't cheap but then they cut
I was gonna ask but I think I just looked an answered my own question? 😂 but I was thinking of using the rotor kit that @87SSBOI is using.. I was gone ask can blazer calipers be used for that set up.. or just go with corvette calipers for that application. 🤷🏽♂️
They kept pushing the delivery date out. I canceled my order. When I got the used door, the guy said he had both but when I got there he only had the passenger door smh.

Great video
Is it only the 2wd blazer that can be used? What about the S-10 pick up truck if 2nd
Beautiful work what size rim are they thank you so much.
17x8
Cool! Thanks for sharing!!
I can't help but notice the caliper mounting bracket looked as if it mounted without grinding.
Correct. Only needed to grind in order to mount the Kore 3 bracket.
Yo those wheels look sick 😎💯🔥🔥🔥
Can you use the same master cylinder when change to big brakes
Yes the stock master will work. Most of us just upgrade the master and prop valve because plan on running disc brakes in the rear also.
PennyLS1 are those factory rims you have on there?
17”
Did you have to do anything to the proportion valve
No I didn’t. The stock one will work. I am changing it once I convert the rear drums to disc brakes
Hello, what year corvette did you use and did you also covert the rear from brums to disc aswell?
97-04 Corvette. No I still have drums on the rear as of now. Plans to swap S10 Blazer rear discs brakes soon
will it work on a c10 truck 1971
Not with these spindles. But Kore 3 had a bracket to adapt the corvette brakes to the C10.
Good info! Keep it up!
What size brake lines are those.
The red ones are 4an and the silver are 6an
