It used to be a one off spot. Rarely visited. No longer. Nobody keeps it up.
That Reward mine has been open for decades. Groups of vehicles driving in and out. Nobody has had a problem. Maybe ventilating shafts.. Just don't camp in there.
I worked underground in mining for about 8 years in northern nevada, and that's a big no no. You shouldn't be taking petrol vehicles underground without ventilation due to carbon monoxide poisoning. Diesel is okay to run underground fyi, but be careful fellas. I enjoy the hell out of your content so don't poison yourselves exploring!
Absolutely correct 7 years underground there is also the possibility of methane and black damp.
Really surprised they it hasn’t been sealed and reclaimed.
I also didn’t notice any roof bolts.
@@jimgreenan8126 Yeah no kidding! Rib wasn't secured anywhere! And the monoxide was just an obvious one with their rigs, let alone the list of other inhalation hazards. "Stay out, stay alive" is posted at almost every mine I've found on trail and they're sealed. I say almost because I have seen one that wasn't, but you'd be a damn fool to try to climb down that sketchy ass ladder! But being California, I'm really surprised it's open as well!
