A week from today will be my first day teaching all by myself. I'm an ESL student and I'll be working for my university this term. I'm very excited and nervous at the same time. Thanks for the advice, Chris!!
Please Chris keep on making similar videos. Yesterday was my first teaching lesson, it was a success. You were my trainer, I've watched your teaching videos and tips on teaching several times. For my planning I've followed you lessons structure. Your class demos where the best and most useful to me. Can you please make a video on inclusive teaching and differentiation.
This has been the most valuable video I have watched in the last 2 days of prepping for a potential IT Tutor role. Experienced in teaching one to one, not so much of groups. You have built my confidence a great deal !

Hi Mr Chris you have no idea how much this video was helpful as a teacher who has just started his career I have learned lots of interesting tips and things which I had no idea about before, I believe you are one of the most successful teachers and your students must be lucky to have such a great teacher like you Greeting
Well, I had a lot of FIRST LESSONS i still don't know how I did it I still have a day and a month to be a real teacher but thank you Mr.Chris I really searched around the internet and finally decided to see the UA-cam and your vids and tips are really helpful I'm really grateful for you thank you
Hi Chris, Thank you for such an informative video. I have learnt very useful tips from your videos. I did my CELTA 4yrs ago and never got to teach nor practice my ESL skills. I'm now ready to for the challenge so am following your videos as a refresher course. I haven't come across the one with detailed Lesson plan, which I always struggled to be honest. I'll appreciate if you could create one video on it, I'm sure there are more new teachers out there having similar problem. Thank you so much for your time and efforts.
Thanks so much, I am from Cuba and I found your grammar videos so informative and practical. I feel so much comfortable teaching grammar points now! Please continue!
Great video man! I'm going to have my first lesson tomorrow as a teacher and ngl I was excited and a bit nervous about it. However, I'm a lot more confident now after watching this video, so huge thanks.
Hi Chris, thanks for all your great videos and pointers. I often teach 1 to 1 and I'm struggling to adapt everything. Could you give some pointers about that situation? Thanks in advance!
Hello professor Thank you so much for your help and advice. I really appreciate your job. I wish you peace and happiness under the sky of prosperity. All the best. Take care and have a good time. Your follower from Algeria.
Thanks for the tips. I think exactly the same as the projection of being prepared in the video and I hope I get it all done for my first lesson to young adults as a teacher:))
Hi Chris ! I just adore your videos!!! They really inspire (especially when I run out of energy or desire to create something engaging for my students I always watch one of your recent videos and voila the super 👌 cool lesson is ready!!! I've got a question about homework or home assignments:do you give your students any h/w?
HW is pretty important for the learning process. There’s only so much a student can learn from a few hours a week in the classroom. So, yes! Whatever you can give them that’s fun and gets them working on the language is great. Thanks for the comment!
Thanks. Very helpful! I am thinking about teaching something voluntarily at the school library using my special knowledge. People often enjoy hearing about cool stuff I have studied so I thought this could help if I want to officially try teach it to someone.
Biggest tip is getting comfortable in front of your camera. Have your camera slightly facing down, too. It gives a better perspective. And get used to looking at the camera lense, to communicate better with your audience. You’ll also want to make sure your audio sounds clear. Lastly try to have an interesting background.
Chris, great advice! Do you teach a course yourself? Are your courses available online? I want to find a good TEFL certification course but it has to be online because I am currently disabled. I'd like to be prepared to start to teach once I am able to go back to work. Thanks again for all these great tips! Many thanks from North TX, US of A
Hi Mr. Chirs tomorrow I have an interview about English language teaching at primary Schools , So I will explain simple present tense, what the main point should I put in my mind about this subject? Please reply me 🙏
hello sir chris , really gained a lot of teaching knowledge and skills from your video, i want to ask that how do you select topic to teach the learners? do u have any course book or you just select by yourself according to their level?
Well it probably depends on where you teach. I teach at a private business english academy, and each level has its own methods and duration, so as im starting by teaching beginners, they gave me the book and with each unit they give me a guide to lead me on how to present my lessons and courses but i still have the freedom to choose any topic i want thats related ofc to the lesson and the level of students/learners :)
