Dream Car Acquired! 1999 BMW 750iL V12

I was able to check off the list a car that was in my top 10 recently and thought I'd do a little review of the car and it's 90s funniness. It's the 1999 BMW 750iL which sports a V12, huge back seat and space for 4 sets of golf clubs in the trunk.

Just bought a '99 750iL also for 4k. It definitely needs a good amount of work but it was something I couldn't pass up. I see 740i's all day but never really 750iL. I cant wait to get it back on the road.

I remember being on the showroom floor at Stevens Creek BMW in 1999 getting my car serviced and a gentleman was being presented the keys to his 1999 750iL right off the display floor it was exactly the same as this one. Congrats! I gave up my E38 740iL back in 2000 and I have always wanted to get back into one. I may have missed the boat now.

You won't have to worry about sagging suspension. It has self-leveling rear suspension that's powered by hydraulic fluid from the power steering system.

Also brought a 750il within the last few weeks. The round thing under the bonnet is an OBD1 not OBD2 port!

ddxauto It is OBD2, you just need a 25 pin adapter.

I typically use 2 metrics:
1. Irritation level I achieve after getting the repair quote.
2. G-force level achieved upon punching the accelerator.

Sorry, but the L7 from BMW (same engine) was the REAL Luxury model, only 899 were produced
