      Thanks. They are 29.5 og outlaws. Not outlaw 2 like I said in video. My can am is on ol2 tires. I have to many tires around to keep up. Lol

    I’ve got a 09 irs. Are the brakes sealed in the back diff? How would I go about replacing them

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  3 місяці тому

      Yes they are in the rear diff. Wet brake. I have never had to change them. I have a different kodiak rear diff in my big bear without the brake in the diff. Watch a video and you'll see how to change them.

    What jets do you have?

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  8 місяців тому

      I can't remember the numbers on the jets but it's a dynojet kit I installed on it a long while back.

    When you snorkeled it’s what all did you do have a problem with mine stalling when I get water over my engine

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  4 роки тому +2

      Run a vent line for the overflow on bottom of carb. Your probably sucking water in your carb when you're in deep water. Make sure airbox is sealed up good.

      @alphapackoffroad  3 роки тому

      @@randallstoudenmire4568 I don't think so bro. I'd try it before lifting it. Adjust shock stiffness up a couple notches and that will lift it some without installing a lift. If tires barely rub plastic it will be OK and will eventually shave it down some. Or cut it. You don't want your axles at extreme angles. Will cause u to break your axles a lot. Mine has gorilla axles up front and stock axles in rear with a grizzly 450 rear diff.

  • @MrSeththompson1

      @@alphapackoffroad Anyway to add the rear disk for brakes? I am very interested in how you found out it would work? The wet brake stinks on all the 400 irs I have owned.

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  4 роки тому +1

      @@MrSeththompson1 I am only running front brakes. Its a light bike so rear brakes aren't a necessity. If I used the rotor and hydraulic rear brake setup off the 450 parts bike i have i could have installed it on the big bear if i absolutely had to have them tho. Oh and for how i knew it would work, I did my research and found they have same gearing and use the same axle size spline count. The seals are different on the 450 diff, thats all I have to remember when I order rear seals for the diff.

    What clutch are you running?

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  4 роки тому +1

      Kevlar heavy duty clutch pack and higher stall springs. I think epi or ebc, one of those e.. initial brands. Got off ebay. It does well and make sure to soak them in oil for recommended time before installing. Have a new video to post on the big bear. New upgrades

      @@jamesromano7230 ill try and look it back up and let you know. Was on ebay. Look up heavy duty Kevlar clutch kit for big bear 400 on ebay and it should pull up. Ebc brand

  • @FlawleZ31
    @FlawleZ31 3 роки тому +1

    On the clutch spring kit, does it require more rpm to get the bike moving vs stock springs? Like a stall?

    • @alphapackoffroad
      @alphapackoffroad  3 роки тому +1

      Yes it is a higher stall. Helps get bigger heavier tires spinning. The Kevlar clutches also help alot. I haven't felt any slipping since I've installed the new clutches and springs and I've been running 29.5 outlaws and 30 in Silverbacks since it was done. A must have if running bigger, heavier tires.

      If you snorkel your bike then you will need to jet it. If it isn't snorkeled then I'd leave stock jets in it.
