- I got invited to my first Nikah. This video document My experience at a Nikah in England. A Nikah is a traditional Muslim wedding. It was very interesting seeing a wedding from a different culture. there was comedy laughter and games throughout that made this experience incredible.

What you see on the outside is not always the case. I know many Asian families who are against marriage outside of their culture but they accept it for the sake of their children.

Just to correct and clarify that Taking grooms shoes off and groom paying for them to get them back has absolutely nothing to do with islam or a niqah.
It’s cultural
It’s our Pakistani culture. There is no harm in having cultural rituals in a wedding when it doesn’t contradict with anything with Islam. In Africa women make noise at nikah ceremony and I understand it’s in the tradition and has got nothing to do with Islam. If you don’t know Pakistani culture I suggest you go read up on it before leaving comments.
