Salam Mas Bro, kalau membuat konten itu yang lengkap dong, itu dimana (masjid kota apa, di negara bagian apa) ya, kalau cuma menyebutkan USA, itu terlalu luas. Ngomong-ngomong cara penghulunya beda ya dengan kita di Indonesia...kok itu seperti di agama lain, rasanya kurang abdol untuk ukuran islam, terutama di Indonesia, misalnya wali wanita itu siapa, terus pria harus memberi hadiah (mahar) ke wanitanya sekecil apapun. I live in the U.K and life never works out pleasantly for me in many ways. If it's written for me to get married in this life, I would be grateful for a simple nikkah like this or in the imams office with a few witnesses. It seems peaceful with no disturbances, Alhamdulilah.

My daughter shes not a muslin but her husband is so hers the story. They met only a few months he owns a bar but dont dress Muslim he won my daughter heart so in a few months they met i met him i sense something not right with him but my daughter marry him. He jokes a lot and complement me saying i look younger. So he propose to my daughter brought the ring i went to the Muslims hall not really a wedding to me so he needed a man in her family to say it ok to marry my daughter so my brother who never met him say yes on the phone. But told my daughter they going to city hall to be married which ots going to be two wedding it so far did not happen. Been months so far nothing. My daughter has her apartment which she has a lease on so he moved into the apartment building his own apartment now after being marry. He don't want to tell my daughter what he makes he said he got an PhD working as a clinical supervisor now he cant afford to take her out to dinner and there's no honeymoon so far. Barely takes her to work or pick her up so i got mad i went to him saying shes your wife you should be picking het up and taking her to work he change as soon as he married her i felt like going to the museum hall to report him. My daughter was going by what he says never said no to him. I had a talk with her. But i myself don't communicate to him he wanted my daughter to pay 500 dollars a month to him now she has her apartment i told her don't do that this should be discuss before marriage and i told her he married you for money he giver her cheap gifts.but my daughter start now to talk back so now he told her girlfriend oh he thinks my daughter use to drug dealers so when i heard that i wanted to confront him so did my brothers. But my daughter said no i told her do not sign any papers. So for him to say he has no money he has a car a motorcycle own a bar say he pays 1,200 In child support plus pay rent 1,200 so how he has all this and no money i told my daughter he trick you in to marriage trying to use you. So her girlfriend say the same. Again there's no marriage license.
I don't know if this is a valid marriage because where is the mention of Mahr and the acceptance of this Mahr by the lady??and is the girl a convert?If No then where is her father (Wali) who accepts the proposal on her behave.Where is the Legal Documentation of this Nikah??This isn't an Islamic marriage at all. Mahr is the right of the Muslimah given to her by Allah.
If women have been married, she allowed to marriage her self (look Shahih Hadist) and for Mahr look Quran Al-Baqarah : 236 explain by Al-Imam An-Nawawi rahimahullah in the book Rasudhatu Ath-Thalibin and Ibnu Qudamah in the book Al-Mughni.. mazhab Asy-Syafi'iyah and Al-Hanabilah little bit different but still valid but is the best as Sunnah if you said Mahr
