    great video. Tara, from Beaver vineyards put a rear view camera on hers. She also wants to upgrade to a air ride seat. Hers is a older model NH T4 105f, the fuel tank is in the front of hers.

    Hello I work for a New Holland dealership in eastern Washington, we set up many of the T4s. These T4s are good machines but they do have a lot of things that should have been done at the factory like: there is a clamp on the fuel tank that isn’t tight enough and the clamp leaks fuel that requires the tire to come off on the V models as it’s located right underneath the seat there is another clamp like that on the transmission suction tube and the clamp leaks transmission fluid, we also tighten all the clamps on the engine as they don’t all come tight enough. These are just some of things that us mechanics have found :)

    I know everyone “needs” 4wd now, but my 2wd, with independent brakes, can turn in its length. If it’s too wet for 2wd, it’s too wet for my ag tires on my fields. I totally get 4wd for small tractor loader work, but I don’t understand the obsession with really complicated front axles... also, I don’t think there’s much value in 4wd for bigger (60+ hp) machines. Sheer weight and momentum has a value all its own. This narrow version would terrify me on a hill, even with filled tires. Great and interesting video, as always!

      Similar to automobiles, these machines come with a lot of technology and design that are not strickly necessary. That increases the cost by a large amount. This is one of the reasons that old tractors are so popular.

    Why don't you do more in depth review's on the New Holland line . You only show them once in awhile and they also seem to be a major portion of your product line. I don't own a tractor but have watched your videos from the get go, really enjoy all of them you do a great job presenting your product. If I ever get a tractor I feel I will need to purchase it from Messick's.

    Hey Neil I bought a New Holland 275 square baler yesterday. This is my first year farming by my self. I’m sprigging 15 acres of Bermuda. I’ve talked to you about buying a tractor a week ago or so. I have 80 acres that I also work. I want to buy a workmaster 75 or a Case 75a even though they are the same tractors. Would a 65a do the same for what I need it to do? I have a Ford 4000 and a Case 585 but I’m looking for a upgrade. Thanks

    • @JCLawn51
      @JCLawn51 3 роки тому +2

      your baler only needs about 35hp to run. That said, 75hp is the cut off for not needing def fluid. It would probably make the most sense to buy a 75hp machine over 65hp just because their are no disadvantages except money. Also the smallest discbine hp requirements from newholland is 65hp pto. The workmaster 75 is claimed at 60pto hp but tests out to be 68pto hp. You will also be able to use a 14ft or larger haybine with the 75.

    • @MessicksEquip
      @MessicksEquip  3 роки тому +2

      It does not take much to pull a 275 baler. That is, as long as you don't have wagons behind you on a hill.

    • @cardinalforlife1143

      @@JCLawn51 oh sorry I was taking about the 80 acres not the square baler

    • @JCLawn51
      @JCLawn51 3 роки тому +2

      @@cardinalforlife1143 80 acres is not a task. A 275 NH baler is a task. You said you working. You mean you doing tillage? You using a 8ft disk or a 40 ft disk? 1 bottom plow, or 12? Many a John Deere B has plowed 80 acres with a 2 bottom plow. So what is your most hp demanding task and what size implement is it or what size would you like it to be? That will drive your HP decisions.

    that front axle is nice till it does a New Holland and craps out the main joint hates rough terrain. local work shop has 3 of them in for repairs one was torn down almost full D check it had that many problems. personaly i much prefer the Kubota bevel gear hub axles tough as hell easy to fix if something does go wrong and they have some really nice steering angle when i have the spare time and money i am gonna mod my Land cruiser to have a Kubota axle be fun to have a Land Cruiser with just as much steering angle as a purpose built drift car.
