    The Ottomans recovering is more a function of revanchism and lucky nations than just them being OP; I feel like a lot of players don't realize how the game is "balanced" to make big nations bounce back and especially if they're in the Lucky Nations club. Max revanchism and lucky modifier is +75% manpower recovery speed, alongside a host of other benefits like unrest reduction.
    You have to either break their back completely or use certain strats (releasing, big loans, get bankrupt) to really break them.
    also still shakin' mah head at not snaking earlier down to the east african gold, I really can't resist them and they're so dang goooood

    18:54 Oops. It'a wrong so i edited delete it. If you want Feudal Theocracy you must become Throcracy first then there is a reform that can switch into Feudal Theocracy(thankfully without Goverment penalty)
    I probably consider picking court ideas if i play as Dawasir to become feudal theocracy. The reform progress that is demanded will be higher than most playthrough.

    Ottomans shouldn’t be that powerful with only their initial starting position. They haven’t expanded that much and yet are fielding 110k by 1510. They seriously need a real nerf. That isn’t normal for any other nation in the game. They have too many unique modifiers that give manpower. Need steeper penalties for when they actually lose wars or get underneath 10k men in the field. Should be break away states that no longer trust ottoman rule.

      i'm doing a rassids -> yemen -> arabia -> caliphate run and i just fought the ottomans with muscovy outnumbering them 2-1 and they still made me white peace them. they are terrifying. but frankly i like the challenge. i think they should be an obstacle along with like france or whatever

    • @GolemEnt
      @GolemEnt  10 місяців тому +1

      Yep I agree with Riotdrone's opinion, they're a good obstacle. It's either remove them super early or there's gonna be a challenge. Hard to avoid that challenge as Najd (:

    • @alexfree8282
      @alexfree8282 10 місяців тому +2

      I’m not saying they shouldn’t be challenging but they went from like 12k and no manpower to 110k and 54k manpower in the bank. There are some things that seem a little to cheatie in my opinion. France seems more balanced with expansion/power. Ottomans do not. They only really collapse at the very beginning if they don’t get Constantinople for their missions and towards the middle of the 1650s where their modifiers start to disappear. The minute the decadence becomes too much they get dog piled by every nation and tend to disappear by the 1720s. There has to be a middle ground where they expand and have a decent army while not destroying themselves before the end game. Also not having like 300 percent manpower recovery lol.

      They haven’t expanded like at all. How can they support such a big army. They didn’t even have Kosovo. Where is their income coming from? Trade? Anatolia isn’t a rich area at all. I guess they had a lot of spare mana from their good rulers.

      We don't have slaves in Saudi Arabia. If you are talking about the foreign workers, if they don't like it here they can leave whenever they want.

      @@KhalidAlharbi67 Actually they can't. Most of the time their passports get stolen on arrival and held by their bosses so they can't leave the country.

    • @KhalidAlharbi67
      @KhalidAlharbi67 9 місяців тому

      @@samwill7259 actually that is illegal. Bringing foreigners to the country to work here is expensive. If they want to leave before their contract expires, they need to pay for the expenses of bringing them here. Maybe the government can prevent them from leaving for legal reasons but not their bosses. It had happened before (I didn’t hear about it in Saudi Arabia but in Qatar) but it’s still illegal and the authorities will enforce punishment upon whoever does it

      @@samwill7259 I understand where you are coming from. It just that my family owns a company that employs more than 150 foreigners. It also works in transportation which is heavily dependent upon foreigner workers. I am quite familiar with the regulations of my country and will aware about outside sources of information and new. I use them for news and research five times more than locals sources. It is just not true. They have low salaries but they are not trapped here. There living conditions are good enough that you don’t find them homeless or hungry in the streets like what you see in some places in the US. I know that their income is abysmally low, but how some US and UK based media put it is very exaggerated.(not out of the ordinary for them, they are the same people who see Israel booming hospitals in Gaza then blame it on Hamas booming themselves, but I digress). But for real, think about it
