Ryan Sneddon they sound loud kind of annoying and practical pig sounds irritated , that was from memory I didn’t know there was cartoon forage in the video
Hi. I love these training films you have. But did the actual dressing of the Pigs & BBW get removed? As a pig, you wore pink knee high socks and white Keds shoes. And the costume & the head. Pigs could not sign autographs due to hard plastic hands attached to the costume. Soo many little ones would come up and ask for an autograph and all you could do was wiggle your pig nose at them. And it was 87 or 88 when the new Pig came out.
Yep, I read in the "Mouse Tales" books about Disneyland that it was a real hassle to perform in those early 60s Three Little Pigs costumes. This is why the Big Bad Wolf often went with them, so he could help them out if something went wrong with them.
I recognized some of the portions of the "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf" soundtrack from my Disney records (such as the "Three Little Pigs" book-and-audio read-along). That Big Bad Wolf costume sure is dated-looking, and they STILL use it. My Big Bad Wolf costume looks more true to the original cartoon/comic design, is more lightweight and maneuverable, AND I built it with a moving jaw so I can talk easily in it (such as for my vlogs or for when I'm at a convention or a costume party.)
3:29, I wonder if those girls ever got tired of hugging these characters for training videos. I know when I went for my third day, the whole autograph receiving moment got old for me!
That was how they were designed way back in 1961. For some odd reason, the park character costumes still looked somewhat off-model back then compared to how they appeared in animation and print. In the late 80s, new Three Little Pigs costumes were built; the ones seen here were a real hassle to perform in, as you see out of the pigs' hat, and the arms are fake (operated by a simple lever to move them up and down.) The Big Bad Wolf's ears are also larger than usual too, and he has brown fur instead of black, tiny eyes and hands, and differently-colored clothes.
wileyk209zback And the 1961 big bad wolf costume is still used in the park today which I think Disney insists that the customer still in perfect condition and is still able to be used in the parks
Yeah. If there's a Disney park character that really needs a new costume, it's the Big Bad Wolf. Heck, MY fursuit head of the Big Bad Wolf that I built myself is closer to the animated version. The sad thing is, more often than not, fan-made Disney character costumes and fursuits often end up looking better than the official theme park costumes.
Super Mario World WHAAAAAT?!?!?! This costume is 57 years old and the plastic parts are probably really fragile at this point (i wonder what they do to preserve). Something needs to be done before it falls apart :v
They probably rebuilt the costume using the same design and template. Next time they do so, they should just go with an all-new design that looks more like the actual character.
Even back in 1976, if you were to try to tell me that a child had any idea what one of Disney's 3 little pigs sounded like, I would call you a liar.

Why did they make the pigs' ears 3 times larger than the original?
