strange there's no guidelines whatsoever for the speaking characters (the princesses, peter pan, alice, etc).. i mean they explicitly acknowledge that they WILL need to talk, but even the best improv performers will benefit from a basic outline when starting out.. i guess maybe that was a different video, or else they were just given a booklet to take home..
The fact some mascots cannot talk kinda breaks the magic for me. Character auditions could include a voice imitation test. If you imitate the character well enough, you could talk while in costume.

@@princejoshthemeparksmei-tr4046 Perhaps they meant "Why isn't the Mad Hatter featured as a costumed character since he is an 'Alice in Wonderland' character?" I was gonna ask the same thing about the Tweedle brothers and Queen of Hearts.
That's what i was thinking, the 1961 Big Head Mad Hatter was used up until 1985/1987, but it's weird that he wasn't shown in this character training tape. Oh, i almost forgot, there were also costumes for The Queen of Hearts, March Hare, Twiddle Dee and Tweedle Dum and a slightly designed White Rabbit, but those were only used for Disney on Parade.
If only we could get our hands on the new ones too! That’ll be interesting! Thanks for uploading though!
Agreed.
Did they even make new videos. Or it just a slide show?
in character meetup videos, Alice and Mad hatter are always very fun and quick in their responses and interactions. Kudos to those actors
"The fact that there is a person in the costume should never be revealed." Until now...
It's looks like new DVD releases review history books documentary about biography book club fan club so much it's looks good
Love seeing that playful punches always result in handshakes!
This training video: *exists*
1961 Mad Hatter Costume: AM I A JOKE TO YOU?
I love how they allow Alice to talk but not the White Rabbit and the Walrus.
because their mouths don’t move and the person in the giant fursuit could be a girl
All the characters talk that don't have a mask on for obvious reasons not including parades or shows of course
Now for the training tapes from the NEW voice of the Disney Parks. ;)
The description of the walrus is really speaking to me. 😅
😂😂😂
Thank you so much for posting these,
Fun to watch on a rainy day
I love Disney Parks and their characters!

The thumbnail looks like joe from impractical jokers in the costume like it’s his punishment
Nowadays, you're more likely to see Alice with the Mad Hatter!

The reason they can't it because their voice would be muffled behind the costume.
My guess would have been it's about consistency. Character integrity and all.
How dare they not let the walrus wander the park anymore.
I like how they keep saying Alice is Alice in wonderland
Can you please get the one for Cinderella!!
3:07 they be zoomin
They used to have the walrus? I wonder why they don’t use him anymore
Also it’s interesting how they just reused the Easter bunny head they had for the white rabbit
@@fantamoon847 The EB is the White Rabbit's relative.
Probably became less known
He got shot by Mark David Chapman
The Walrus is still in Tokyo, however.
Why no more Walrus? Just because he isn’t a popular character?
Might be unrecognizable to kids today. i was surprised there was a Walrus in Alice in Wonderland.

Did They Use To Have Disney Character Meet And Greet At Department Stores And What We’re They
Back in the 70s and 80s they would sometimes have Pooh, Tigger, and Eeyore meet customers at Sears, I think it depended on the locations though
It be cool to see Alice grow in house in live action show
Where's the mad hatter?

PrinceJoshThemeParks&Travel understood. I’d like to obtain that clip, if possible
