Of course, I have to say Traditional Chinese Luke! I know he usually sounds energetic and happy all the time, but I think his VA captured a really unique kind of anger I don’t seen in the CN, JP, or even Western VAs. Out of all the VAs, this Luke has the clearest and arguably most melodic voice, with a lower, steady tone at its end. When his VA portrays anger, from his tone, you can clearly hear the dynamics parallel is feelings, Luke is starting to talk louder and louder as he is more agitated. Traditional Chinese Luke’s voice never becomes so sharp or bitterly angry, but he always enunciates and stresses the different “sharper sounds” in his speaking (ch, k, t, s and so on sounds), especially when he is agitated. I think this is something pretty unique to Traditional Chinese Luke because CN Luke doesn’t have nearly as clear and crisp a voice or noticeable shifts in emotion, although they are there. Similarly, JP Luke, to me, is very smooth in a sense. He does speak angrily but it feels more like an emotional outburst at times, especially when he’s yelling, rather than the controlled agitation of the traditional or simplified Chinese versions. In part, I think this is due to the VAs interpretations differing, as well as the culture the VAs have when it comes to outbursts, yelling and the like. As always, as I don’t really listen to KR dubs, I don’t really have an opinion on it, lol, I don’t know.

I love how his tone immediately backs down when mc got angry back at him (specifically when she told him to stop going on and on abt it). Especially evident in jp where he was shouting when he was scolding her but then when told that his voice quivered. I think it's a really nice detail, cause in the end luke doesn't want to do anything that hurts mc in any way

The way Kaji Yuki(his Japanese voice actor) screams is one of the reasons why he's one of my favorite voice actors ever In diabolik lovers (yeah the weird vampire anime but also a franchise with 7 games, more than 200 drama cds and a bunch of stuff) he voices Kanato, and hate dl all you want but here is one of the places I feel they explore his voice the best (not so much in the anime but the games are dubbed) since he is making a character who screams A LOT, cries, goes back to normal and all over again in some seconds. He has gave me the chills a bunch of times because of it, he makes me genuinely scared of him when he screams (or just talks in a threatening voice, actually when he goes for a sweet voice is when it scares me the most), and even if I know he's fake crying the emotion he gives off also makes me feel pity and sad
thank god i'm not the only one who knew about kaji yuki's involvement in diabolik lovers. i personally loved him as kanato, and his angry voice reminded me of him immediately.
I just can't help but think of Eren 😂 Aaaa his personal story really made me shed tears tho 😢 I did not expect him to get that mad that it actually swayed my emotions irl. Luke x Rosa... I just love them together so much 😭💖
Jp Luke is just gonna make me cry on the spot. I prefer S-Ch (been using this since the start) or Kr (MysMe flashbacks lol) with the calm anger, like trying very hard not to raise his voice at mc but still being strict.
I chose Korean to get the mystic messenger vibe, and I don’t regret it, but damn, Japanese Luke is really good too. I still prefer his Korean voice but yk
I like T-CN since Luke sounds angry but trying to be gentle, he want MC to UNDERSTAND that she was in a dangerous situation but at the same time he doesn't want to scare her away. I honestly would breakdown at JP Luke, not saying Kaji did a bad VA but the Luke I imagine is more with T-CN Va

I chose JP and stuck with it cause I’m more comfortable with the voices but danngggg Kaji Yuki really made me feel bad when I first played this scene. I only read this part with s-chinese. I tried to read some part with jp dub i love yuki. But the s-chinese was the one who made me fall in love with luke/xia yan... he is legit childhood sweetheart cinammon roll that need our protection @_@... i legit screaming "noooo" when read his personal story episode 1 opening.... and cried lol. This part when he is angry at the mc. I felt bad but giggling at the same time cos his angry is soooo cute in s-chinese dub.

I am aware of that but the voice lines are labelled as Traditional Chinese in game I'm not sure why Mihoyo labelled them as Trad Chinese but I think is to prevent confusion since there's 2 Chinese voice lines packs voiced by different VAs in game
Taiwan uses traditional Chinese in writing, while China mainland uses simplified Chinese. That’s the only difference really - both traditional and simplified Chinese words sounds the same, but there may be some degree of localisation for some of the phrases if you do hear differences for the dialogues 😉
