Thank you for all this very solid information and for so freely sharing! The small business community needs more people like you! I've definitely taken notes and appreciate the information!! I think the information translates well to local stores as well. Those people looking for wholesale accounts in their local area can glean a lot of helpful information from this video! Awesome job!
I love your videos so so much!! I’m so glad to see all your success. Would you mind making a video about pricing for big stores? I do wholesale for local shops but I’m wondering how different cost would be for stores.
Your boxes are so attractive. Using kraft adds a natural flair, and the various colors are soft and beautiful. Did you design them yourself? I don't plan on selling in a nationwide retailer but I found this video very interesting. Do the Whole Foods customers have a preference as to which candles they like the best? I also wonder if it depends on which part of the country is buying. Next time I'm in WF I'm looking for you :) Really enjoy your content! Thanks!
Thank you for the information! Question for you: who made your boxes and how did you come up with the design? Did you hire someone? If so, where did you find them? I’m having a hard time making my labels, much less finding someone to make my candle boxes (and not break the bank). Thank you!
A company called yourboxsolution.com made the box. And I hired a graphic designer for the design. If you’re struggling to find one, the box company has a list of designers that they work with.
So initially how do you get into a retail store? Is there an application you need to fill out how does that work? Do they ask for certain requirements? Do you directly reach out to them and what department do you reach out to?
Thank you for your videos, very helpful information! Btw, Did you/do you ship your candles to customers with the same packaging when they buy directly online?
@@HowToLymarie thanks for the quick reply 🥰 it will be nice to see the same video concept for your online store. And do you get the packaging boxes for your online store from the same website?
@@HowToLymarie even if it has a lid too? Opening a box then having to open a lid seems like a lot to do in stores. I know we’ve all done it but i know stores don’t like it when people do that 😂
I'm trying to figure out barcodes right now. I thought it would be straight forward, but there seems to be different options. Which barcode type have you found that most retail stores in the US require? I see UPC, GLN, and EAN. And I'm sure there are others. help!! lol!
I don't understand why you say the "seller" has to pay for shipping that is simply not my experience or for anyone else who sells either on Etsy or Shopify or even Faire.
I’m talking about major retailers. When you sign a contract with a national retailer like Macys or Nordstroms, some of them make you pay for shipping. I’m not talking about Etsy or Shopify as that’s not wholesale.

Awesome. Those boxes are fire!!!! Great information and I love how nicely neat everything looks in the back. I need to take note!
Thank You! This information helped me understand where to start!
Great video! Very well explained 🎉

Thank you! I hired a graphic designer for my box design. All of my scents (7 total) have sold well!
This makes you narrow down the amount of fragrances offered ,too. Smart!
Thank you for giving so freely ❤️
This video has helped me a ton. Thank you!!
I’m glad!

Yes I use the same boxes for my customers. However I make their packages much nicer!

This is very helpful. Was people not being able to smell them in store (because of the boxes) ever a worry for you?
Honestly no. It’s easy to open the box to smell them.

Great info! Thank you so much for sharing.
Awesome tips!
how did you learn to approach businesses for wholesale?
I was actually approached by them.
I love your videos. So informative.. What size staff do you have to fulfill all of your orders?
Just me 😊
@@HowToLymarie amazing!

Thank you so much for sharing 🥰🥰🥰🥰

And GS1
Do you have a company/website you'd recommend to buy barcodes from?
I used buyabarcode.com and they are GS1 which are universal UPC
Thank you so much!!@@HowToLymarie
How do you get your upc label on the box? Who does that?
You can either use stickers or have your designer put the UPC on the box and have it printed directly on it
What’s size is that boxes??
I believe they’re 3.2x3.2x4
Do I need a upc number to sell in local stores?
Usually in smaller store no but for large retailers yes. However some retailers have their own UPCs but it’s still best to buy your own
