This has a magical quality. It’s gentle but at the same time moving and powerful. He plays with soul, not wanting to sound pretentious here! I’m really enjoying it.
Wow!! He must be one of the most respected and loved guys in the music world. His vast skills and humble, gentle nature is all there in these beauty live performances.
Stunning! I'm not the world's biggest Zeppelin fan, but the mandolin JPJ plays on this song (from Led Zeppelin 4, released in 1971) are simply magical. That sound cuts through time and space like nothing else, along of course with Robert Plants amazing vocals. How lucky we are to have this same humble man play it for us fifty three years later.
The Stones would have instantly stopped being their own tribute band and start making great new music and better than ever. Problem is that JPJ is too sophisticated to join the Stones. I lost interest in the Stones when Wyman left, the groove left with him.
So talented but always seemed to be the quiet one in the shadows while the other three of Led Zeppelin got most of the attention, but I think he was a driving force of the band and they would not have been as great without John Paul Jones.
One of my favorite songs ever. He made it lilting and beautiful

The man that held LZ together for In through the Out Door 😊
Absolutely, he also produced "Heart's " biggest selling album in the 80's😊

He and Winwood. Great musicians, great people.

I don’t know of a greater musician than JPJ!!!!!

When the aliens ask us "What's so special about humanity?" JPJ better be one of the ones we trot out to show them. Just might save us.
Quanto mais ouço mais quero ouvir
Did you watch the entire concert through your phone window? That is so cool!!!!
Maybe this isn't appropriate on here, but what would the Rolling Stones have been like if JP Jones had replaced Bill Wyman.
