Michael had a question and answer class during the festival and here he is playing some tunes for the gathered crowd. A great fiddler for sure...and I love his sense of humor also! Enjoy all !! Feel free to like this video and also to leave your comments.
He’s Blind and only has 20 % hearing in his left ear and 75% in his right ear and he’s by far one of the best damn musician’s I’ve ever come across! What a shot of gratitude, humility and love! Thank you God for blessing us with a Micheal Cleveland 🤘🏻🎻

This man is a musical genius. His rendition of Orange Blossom Special is one that will never be equaled.
One of my favorite parts of this is immediately after finishing he automatically fine tunes a string unconsciously while listening to the applause. A true musician. The string must have been bugging him during the piece... haha

Michael will always be the GOAT. This is of course partially due to his amazing skill but even moreso due to his simple and honest love of music and why he performs. He’s played OBS who knows, hundreds of times, but wants to do it better each time and still sincerely loves to play it to bless those who hear it. (

Just picked up the fiddle at age 56. Lifer musician, pianist by trade and trust me, he's good! It's not something I'll be attempting anytime soon. No need for any negativity re performance. I'd be thrilled to be half as good on this piece!

Hello there, this beautiful music is bluegrass It gets its roots from Ireland. Here in the Appalachian mountains we took the music of our Irish kin folk and added a little juice to it. Much love too you and yours from an Appalachian hillbilly with Irish roots.

O M G !!!!!!!! The speed of that man is UN FRIGGIN BELIEVABLE!!! I've heard orange blossom special from a bunch of performers and this is far and away the most amazing rendition ever. I'm still stunned! Roy Clark can play, but I'm sorry, he doesn't hold a candle to this. Absolute crystal clarity and speed that makes me think a worm hole might open up above his fiddle.
I too have heard LOTS of people and LOTS of versions of OBS. Until Michael my favorite was done by Charlie Daniels.

I met this man in person once, and my grandfather Mike (same name, even!) played a mandolin-fiddle duet right alongside this fella at the 2014/2015 New Year's Party in the hotel!

His side-to-side bowing is unique.
I have seen a few "unique" things from Michael. When he plays with a group and someone else "has the floor" and he is in "backup mode", he will turn his violin into a percussion instrument and beat on the strings. Gives the song a unique flair.
AND one thing, one MAJOR MAJOR unique thing... pause it at 5:59 and count the # of strings :). The man is not playing a violin, it is a Violan 5 strings EADGC :)
