Mine too. One of the loudest too. For the Animositisomina Tour in the UK they brought 2 drummers with them. And there was no let up between songs. They were thunderous!!! Great times
@@ameliacharles2284 I’m 45, and I went to my first concert 1993 to see Nirvana for my 14th birthday. In my life, I’ve seen pig face, gwar, hard-core bands, like hatebreed and integrity, i’ve seen Front 242 and 9 inch nails and everything in between, and nothing will prepare you for the wall sound that is ministry live. I have tinnitus my left ear, and while I like to assume it’s 30+ years of listening to live music and 15+ years of being a roadie, it’s more likely simply because of a Tuesday night in Texas.
Can confirm. I saw them twice. Once at a small club in Seattle called "The Oz" in 1989 when they were touring for their "The Land of Rape and Honey" album, then a few years later at Lolapalooza.
@@davidrea6310 I have only seen Front 242 ond NiN in the bands you mentioned above in addition to Ministry. Good times both, but not nearly as loud as Ministry!
Yeah while I read your comment I became aware what an old fart i am, bwahahahaha! Holy fuck, I listened to the albums "Psalm 69", "The mind is a terrible thing to taste" and the live album "In Case You Didn't feel like showing up" sooooo many times.
If you listen close, the riff in Just One Fix is SO similar to Du Hast by Rammstein. It almost makes me think Rammstein ripped them off, and Rammstein is my favorite band. Just being honest.
Yeah, NIN was heavy influence by Ministry.... and Ministry was at the beginning a snythpop project, until Al Jourgensen found a canadian band called "Skinny Puppy", the fathers of modern industrial past "Throbbing Gristle" and early stuff like that. If you want to go down that road, I would suggest "Smothered hope" from Skinny Puppy for a start. They are an awesome live band with an almost performance art show but I would stick to the studio versions for the beginning.

Thieves live is probably the best mosh pit song ever written.. go figure, when I saw them for the first time in Rochester NY I didn't hit the pit. I was only like 30 and I'm 46 now. I feel like such a pussy lol
Yes. It's the live performance of the studio album A Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste. Sadly, Al hates it now. Hates all his older stuff. He's now doing soft acapella versions of all his old stuff. Stinks to get old I guess
AH Yes Industrial FINALY more from Uncle AL please Ministry's catalog is huge so plenty to chose from also time for some Skinny Puppy either Assimilate or Tim Omen to start with both BANNGERS
Depending on when that footage was taken, I do believe that is Bill Rieflin on drums. Bill played with so many big industrial acts. KMFDM, NIN, Ministry, and Pigface. He also has played for R.E.M and King Crimson, and as a session musician, Robbie Williams and Taylor Swift. Bill was a monster on the drums, with absolutely incredible timing.
Rey Washam (scratch Acid, Rapeman) played this tour and most of the Filth Pig album, but the original album recording of Thieves is most probably Rieflin.
Great pick Nathan. Thanks for choosing it. The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste is a legendary album. Burning Inside is my particular favourite You said Dang. You have to do Jesus Built My Hotrod!!
3 albums: Land of rape honey Psalm 69 Mind is a terrible thing to taste. Ministry after '85 became a whole other animal. Pure power, pure insanity. Awesome.

That whole record, The Mind Is A Terrible Thing To Taste, is a real trip!
The first time I heard that album I was high on shroom tea in the early 90s lol
agreed. Soundtrack to a misspent angry youth
It may not be their most popular song but their cover of “lay lady lay” is one of my all time favorites from Ministry.
Agreed, Lay Lady Lay is incredible. That solo, when the key changes... just incredible.
Ministry is in my top 10 live bands.

I'm a person who's usually not into live albums that much, but their In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up album was wonderful.
They also have another band called The Revolting Cocks
"Beers, Steers and Queers". Not a name that goes too well today but a great song regardless.

The video is from Sphinctour/Filth Pig-era, so it's Rey Washam on drums. But you're correct that BR played drums on the original song.

Favorite Al Jourgenson band here: Digital Poodle
Buckle up if you go in a Ministry pit..
For a WTF moment, listen to very early Ministry. As aggressive as they became later, their early stuff was synth pop...
"Over the Shoulde" could be good starting point ... If I remember correctly, it was less gingeworthy. x)
Anything off of Land of Rape and Honey is worth a listen - avoid the live stuff
The live album, mentioned before, In Case You Didn’t Feel Like Showing Up is one of my favorite albums…
Ok, just checked you tube, it's there.
