I am so glad you did this review, there aren’t a lot of reviews out there for the mini. And your video help me figure out I wanted to get this guitar. I am a petite woman looking to master guitar, when I was a kid I was given a dreadnought guitar and it was just too big, and It was hard to play so I never really learned. 4 years ago I bought a ukulele with the hopes of one day going back to guitar, I am now at that point and this was the answer to my prayers, so I bought this Enya Nova Go mini for 3 kings day and I am loving it! Thank you 🙏🏽
Just got mine today together with the same strap. If you have a dreadnaught, you can easily differentiate na sound. If this is your first guitar, it may sound ok. If you have sausage fingers, it may not be for you. It feels like a toy and sounds more like made from fiber glass rathen than carbon. If there are in my opinion that needs to be upgraded to this unit, it must be the strings and the nut. Bag is ok, but must have been better if they used the shell case of its big brothers. I would say it's more of a novelty than a practice guitar. For a travel guitar or kids guitar, maybe it's much better to buy the Nova Go or the Nova Go SP1. I think kids will immediately outgrow this size.
I definitely hear more going on with the sound in the larger but the mini has a great sound too. If these had both been available when I bought mine I might have chosen the mini. I love my enya go, but I bought it for travel and taking to school camps with kids and the mini would be great for that.
I was surprised by how the mini kept up with the Nova Go sound wise too. Thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment. I’m glad you’ve had such a good experience with your Nova Go. It definitely is a stress free travel guitar in my opinion.
Awesome video. Very informative! Just ordered two mini guitars for my son and myself. (((shhhhh.... Have the full size electric ones hidden for Christmas.))) What brand and thickness extra replacement strings would you recommend? Thank you for your very informative and beautifully played great videos. ♥️
I am actually planning to buy this mini guitar for my son who is in currently having his guitar lesson and I hope this one would be great for his learning.
Great informative vid and it sounds great for the price.... I need a small scale guitar for on the go was gonna get the 1/2 size but Anyone viewing this and interested in buying one (Amazon uk) are doing 20% off this 1/4 enya guitars and 25% off the 1/2 size model until Jan 15th 🙌
I played your sawing away on the E chord @4:08 and immediately switched over to the You Tube of Dion and the Belmonts - Ruby Baby opening E chord and they sound almost identical.
I prefer 1/8-size, but I can manage on a 1/4-size. This looks like something I might consider; HOWEVER, I prefer classical strings on my guitars. Can this mini have classical strings? Also, would I need to change all of the strings or just the gbe? I realize there might be some differential, would it be 👍 or 👎❓💚 EDIT: I got the pink one. I opted NOT to change to classical strings and I’m proud I kept the steel strings. I LOVE IT. Wwwaaaayyyyyyy too much! Also … I prefer playing without a pick. ☺️💚
Thanks so much for the review. I am looking a purchasing Enya Nova Go Mini as guitar I can take backpacking with me. I am a complete beginner and may be interested in your online music lessons in the near future. Problem is, I am left handed. What is your opinion on stringing this guitar backwards to play left handed as a beginner?
I ordered one of these and is on the way….. it sounds surprisingly good for its size and price…. The intonation seems also surprisingly good, which is uncommon for tiny guitars….. Are you tuning this standard EADGBE?
@@OneMusicSchool well I am digging it… some how ENYA has made a tiny yet playable guitar….it’s great for smaller hands a little bit cramped for my gigantic hands but that’s obviously to be expected and yet somehow it’s still quite playable. And wait it’s only 80 dolllars and made out f carbon fiber andit extremely durable and sounds very good considering its size and wait it’s AlLSO cool looking…. I think it’s a winner.
I'd like your opinion on the strings that come with either of these guitars and is the string height good for beginners? Growing up, cheap first guitars equated to high nuts and strings that would be stretched sharp as you went down the neck. Did you play these as they came from the seller?
Thank you for your review. I’ve been contemplating whether to buy the 35inches vs 30inches. I travel more and need something small enough to bring anywhere. This will be the first one I will definitely buy. Can I ask if the sound would be still ok if you put on a detachable Guitar pick up?
@@cristoreypoderoso1 I returned it, felt unnatural to use and sounded bad, couldn't keep it in tune either, ordered a parlour guitar instead, much better.
I was pretty surprised by how it compared to the other Nova Go when I listen back to the footage as I was editing. Thanks for take the time to watch and share your opinion. I appreciate it 😀.
Just received one from Amazon . . really nice sound, very comfortable. (I own 13 Enya Ukulele and Guitars). Beginner's Bundle was NOT included. Shipping was not double boxed as usual. Bag is passable but not like their semi-hard case. Strings are awful, very floppy . . will change to nickels
Thank you so much for take the time to watch and comment 😀. I heard the differences between the two, but I was so shocked how the mini held its own against the Nova Go.
Will all of the effects work if you put Nylon Strings on it, instead of Steel? Does it have a built-in Tuner? Is there a Ballence controll for Bass and Treble, please?
Hi Katie you look beautiful today what are you doing for Christmas do you like making gingerbread houses every year for Christmas I love watching all your videos the Christmas ones are my favorite I wonder what song you are doing this weekend
You’re so sweet. Thank you for always watching my videos. Yes, we did make a gingerbread house a few weeks ago, and it’s become a family favorite tradition.
Thanks for watching and thanks for your comment. It does state on Enya’s website that it has a right hand orientation. If you flip it and change the strings, you have to consider the cutaway will now be the “top” of the instrument. I’m looking at the bridge, which is not a pin bridge but more so a slotted type bridge, and the holes that are meant for the wound strings(strings 6-3) are a bit larger than the holes for strings 1-2. I haven’t tried to switch the strings in reverse order, but from the looks of it, the slot that is meant for the 1st string is smaller than the slot meant for the 6th string. I don’t think a low E string would fit in the slot meant for the high e string. Another thing to consider is that the saddle is placed at an angle to accommodate the thickness of the strings. If you try to reverse the string order, there could be intonation problems. I know this is a long answer, but those are my personal opinions. I hope that helps.
@@OneMusicSchool Thank you for your prompt reply. I understand your explanation regarding the size of the string slots. Once again, a big sigh being left handed! I had to quickly cancel my order from Amazon. Thank you for so kindly explaining so clearly. Warm regards
Maybe try a truss rod adjustment and a change of strings…. Mine sounds pretty good considering….. I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect big sound out of an absolutely tiny guitar like this….. maybe you got a dud too…it does happen….
@@kenstogieJust got mine, and the sound is pretty rough, nothing like in this video. @@ywmedia Yeah, the strings really need to stretch. I do feel like there are some intonation issues when fretting. It makes me wonder if the frets are a wee bit too high

What a great review and comparison between the Nova Go and their new Mini! 🙌🏼 I can’t believe how tiny it is! 🥺
I know!! It’s so cute, and I’m so excited my daughter to try it 😀.

Nice review and comparison. Does the app allow a looping function, and does it have effects (e.g., delay, reverb, chorus, mild distortion)?

Hi! I can put standard strings or are they specific?
Ordered this for practice on the couch, hopefully it feels decent in my left hand. I am used to the nut on a Yamaha ll-16 so slightly wider.
hi im also left handed… how does it feel?
@@cristoreypoderoso1 I returned it, felt unnatural to use and sounded bad, couldn't keep it in tune either, ordered a parlour guitar instead, much better.
This instrument sounds really resonant. It appears to have fantastic sustain. At $100 (inc gig bag) this looks like a very good deal.

That's insane for $100. It doesn't have that typical thin, boxy travel guitar voice too.

Not an expert on carbon fiber guitars but I think the Mini actually sounds better than the Nova Go. I am a big fan of smaller guitars/parlor guitars.

Hi, do you know what string gauge comes stock on the Nova Go Mini? Thank you
How is the intonation on this in the higher frets? This may just be the best guitar to buy for this price especially for kids
no answer....
Amazon says this is only 22.8” but your description says 33” looking to buy one for my 7 year old. Mini or the other one??
Thanks!!
So glad this helped!
Any suggestion on the correct replacement strings for the 1/4 size enya carbon fiber acoustic or where to find those statistics??
What size strings do you recommend for this particular guitar??
Hola necesito ayuda para saber como cambiarle las cuerdas a esta guitarra?
