      Why can’t people be proud that she got accepted not bribe them into getting in like most white celebrities(I say that because celebrities are dominantly white)? But they target that’s she is a minority and that’s how she got in. Yeah she is one but she still got intelligence. People be pressed and act like oh because you were this you took a spot. How about be proud. I don’t see people commenting on a white child or Asian child that they were only allowed because they are white/Asian. (Sometimes it can be true, some places are still very racists, or have racists intentions). If they got accepted, congratulations. I mean I don’t personally like Harvard but it really can be a luck on how well your paper is or how well one did. Regardless, I would still congratulate anyone who got accepted without paying their way without talent (aka celebs) and acting like there child is so intelligent. I mean if you have the money to go, who cares but to say and act like they went there as a way to fake their academic achievements and prestige is dumb.

      What in the hell are you talking about? Asians, Latinos, and every first generation migrant you could think of that came to America virtually faced the same amount of discrimination from the start. Keep in mind back then Asians were even more frowned upon because of the HEAVY anti Japanese propaganda and the lasting effects of that propaganda in the later years. But now look. Asians on average have the highest income in america. Latinos are second to last, falling behind blacks making the least amount. What in the hell are you talking about? Latinos can’t go to college because of “circumstances?” Bullshit. Look at Asians. There’s more Latinos in america than Asians too for fucks sake. WE are the MINORITY of the MINORITY. There’s far less Asians than blacks and Latinos in this country yet we come out on top by a large margin. Why is that?

      Blacks and Latinos have the highest rates of obesity in the nation, which also means that we share the highest rates of high blood-pressure, diabetes, cancer, (breast cancer for women), stroke, heart disease... premature death and even in her youth... FOUR TIMES MORE LIKELY TO DIE FROM COVID 😷, as well as other respiratory nasties. -But we can't talk about these things because it's NEVER the, "right time," for those who don't wanna hear it.
      Another thing... both Harvard and Yale LOWER the academic requirements/standards for black/Latino student applicants, (something her teacher knew ahead of time), so the likelihood of this bright young lady being accepted into such a prestigious and politically-charged institution like Harvard or Yale was VERY high, as these two institutions have an "equity" ideology.
      Their "equity" ideologies also include, (something I don't agree with), RAISING the academic requirements/standards for admission for ASIANS, (PENALIZING THEM FOR TRADITIONALLY PRODUCING THE MOST BRILLIANT STUDENTS ON THE PLANET), because these two institutions believe that hard-working Asian students are OVER-REPRESENTED in their universities. 👀. So the schools make it HARDER for THEM to get in.
      True story. ☝🏼
      By the way... if this is the old Paterson East Side High... (the same school that was run by notorious school Principal Mr Joe Clark) ... we can thank him for risking his career/reputation for taking extreme measures to save the lives/futures of these struggling youth. -Watch the movie, "Lean On Me," feat. Good for her but when she actually goes to college, especially Harvard she might struggle a lot. You know the saying A students become C students in college. I’m not saying she won’t do good but college is much much harder than High-school. And this isn’t just any college it’s HARVARD. Study hard and ask for help if you’re struggling!!

    1. This girl definitely is smart and tried very hard in school. (Deserves Ivy League school)
    2. Many colleges like Harvard do use affirmative action, basically meaning other under represented ethnicities are accepted more.

    • @joshpzueck6320

      @AS well personally it’s not Anyone’s fault that they are under represented other than their own. In fact it’s only like a couple percent off which will never be perfect. But it’s unfair to the people who actually deserve spots at Harvard and are simply being denied because they aren’t a certain race. It’s almost like it’s racist.

      @anastasiamarie8222 2 роки тому +3

      I wanted to respond because I know how disheartening it can be when you have past mistakes (especially in academics) but change and grow as a person.
      It all depends on what you want in life but I would suggest starting at your community college. Realistically you probably won't get into a 4-year university with that GPA and if you did, you would have a really hard time paying for it without academic scholarships. If you can work towards a 2-year program and get good grades in that, then later you can apply for university with those transcripts. The good grades should override your high school GPA and if your high school transcripts get brought up, just explain how you've changed and are dedicated to the pursuit of education now.
      Something to remember though is that you don't need a 4+ degree to be successful. Take some time to think about what you want out of life and what makes you happy. There are plenty of certificates and licensure programs in community colleges that lead to well-paying and steady employment. I'm entering my 5th year of undergrad and about to graduate with a degree that doesn't have great employment prospects unless I pursue graduate school. This is because I went to college without asking myself these questions. Education is great if you are dedicated and have passion for it but those with degrees are no better than people with less educational training. In the end, we are all human beings and we should make the choices we know will make us most happy. It's your life so don't feel pressured to pursue conventional success especially if you're unsure of what you want.
      Good luck!
