The reason The One Ring is stupid expensive, even with guaranteed slots like the bundle, is because it is a current Modern and Legacy staple, which makes it a 4 of in any deck. It allows massive draw power, not to mention the protection from everything on top of if youre running cards that untap artifacts (which you most likely are) AND to ice the cake, you can play a another copy and legend rule itself to the yard to basically fully negate the downside to the card.
Wanted to add that it's also good in Commander. If you have an ability/card that requires an artifact to be sacrificed then you can get get a few good turns of great draw and not much down side since you have a high life total thanks to being a Commander game lol.

Pretty good pull. In my opinion Nazgûl will maintain price because of commander. It may slide to 8 bucks. Relentless Rats is a 2.00 uncommon, but Nazgûl will probably be printed in this set only, and people will want 9 in a deck.
One thing as an old school AD&D player, the full art lands in this remind me so much of the maps that came in Greyhawk Adventures and Forgotten Realms.
One of the channels I watch, mtg north, will list the total price of the cards over $2 for each box they open and I think the boxes are typically in the $180 to $240 range. Every once and a while you'll hit one of the special sol rings, but even then those boxes typically didn't break even

@asterphyll no no no, I refuse to buy this variety of security (outside of specific asset classes of which this isn't) and while I enjoy the product, I would never purchase it to be opened, and I don't really care to watch/listen to anyone else open packs because magic as a game ceased to exist (for me) a long time ago. Moreover, I was tempted to spend $400 to get the experience I wanted; but this video scratched that itch; which should be a clear enough explanation about how much I actually care about any of this.

Only one Nazgul was pulled out of TWO collectors boxes. There is a reason why they are a double digit uncommon when you can have nine in a deck (f commander rules, card text wins, lol)!
The price on the bundles with the one ring I believe is up to $110 last I checked. As to why it still has that value closes things I can point to is Risharden port in block constructed being run in 99% of decks and ended up getting banned because it was absurdly great but in this cast it and the bowmaster are in as many decks as they possible can go in. As to the box topper cards the box topper is always normal foil there is a 1% chance for a surge foil one to be in a collectors pack

One of my coworker pulled a $500.00 card , it's one of the number cards. He tried $300.00 in tried .he said next day the store owner had a $600.00 price on it.

Opened 12 and watched 100 openings and box 1 was by far the best I’ve seen except when you pull a serialized. If that was the average these would still be 500$
That was honestly such a solid opening. The Paths of the Dead, Gemstone Caverns, the orcish bowmasters, and the Gdilf the White made the opening solid value wise.
Witch King of Angmar is decent too and I think there were 2 of those. Nothing crazy like a surge foil or a sol ring, but still very good opening for the patron
I own 20 sealed collector boxes and 6 sealed omegas. I also opened about 3 boxes worth of packs to collect singles. I've never played MtG but I'm collecting these LotR. People like me are the reason the cards and sealed will hold or increase in value. Unfortunately, the players don't want expensive packs and boxes, but I hope future MtG sets will continue to contain serialized, original sketch, and/or autograph cards.

I 100% that the 1 of 1 ring was 1 found in the gift bundle as it was finally declared found when people begun to open the gift bundle early and 2ndly the person who found the 1 of 1 ring is 100% more likely a card store owner where almost all card stores open some early just to sell singles.

I dont know why Bowmasters is so much. Its not a bad card at all, but i wouldnt say its worth $40+ lol thats crazy to me. Perhaps this is one of the products that "Isnt for me" because i wasnt too impressed with it. The reskins are nice, the rest of the set was mostly meh for. The cards look great, but there was only a handful of them i actually wanted. I was also one of those people that figured the price would plummet after the ring was found, but for some reason we have cards like Bowmasters holding $40 price tags(if someone can explain why im all ears)
I assume you pay zero attention to legacy where it has been inserted into so many decks due to all the powerful low toughness cards to kill and that there is a lot of card draw which this punishes.

Quick tips: Wizards had 9 different arts on the Nazgul which may be why they are so high and Delighted Halfling is also a 20-30 dollar card.

I opened 6 LOTR collector boxes, and at $400 a pop, I came out ahead with 1 box, broke even with another. and lost money on the other 4!
If you're only focused on the money, don't open any packs or boxes. On average, you will likely lose roughly 40%
