When we bought our first moho 4 years ago here in the UK we found an advert on something like Craigs list for an almost new motorhome for a small amount of money plus have this storage company deliver it. My husband kept saying it was a bargain. Had I not had that red flag waving in my face all the time I am pretty sure he would have parted with our lifes savings and lost the lot. Its the age old saying 'if it sounds to be too good to be true then it probably is'.
Good for you! Keep calling. Maybe if the government gets as many reporting calls as we get span calls, they will start doing something out of sheer annoyance. ✌️❤️🙏
Our 2 governments, Canada & the U.S. can't really do more than they are. Sure, there are criminals here in our 2 countries, but they aren't the big guys! Most of them here in our 2 countries are cash mules, money launderers & small time. When caught, out justice systems can indeed prosecute these guys, but they aren't the ring leaders! These ring leaders are extremely well hidden & hiding out in foreign countries. And those foreign countries don't want to put the effort in to work with our 2 governments to try to catch these criminals. Most of them are small time themselves & don't know who or where the big leaders are. The calls you receive are mostly form within India or Africa and are set up to be torn down within minutes. The majority of these scammers are not living in our 2 countries.
Thank you very much for educating us. I am getting text messages from USPS about needing more info in order to deliver a package. USPS will NEVER text you, ever. Don’t fall for this. Don’t click on any links. I also get text messages from ”employment agencies” about jobs available. I’m not looking for a job. You give good advice. If someone calls you or texts you from a number that you do not recognize, report it as a scam. All the very best to y’all.

I’m only 5 minutes in the video and immediately what caught my attention was how detailed the description of the vehicle. And I thought most older women would not know that much detail about their husbands RV. But I’m going to continue to watch to see what happens.
Yes! That’s why I was 50/50 when I got the initial email because of the lack of detail made it seem like it could be legit but once that second email came in, red flag. Also a photo of the odometer screamed Craigslist ad to me. I would imagine someone giving away a beloved RV would show pictures of themselves with it on the amazing vacations they took. that part is easy.they can copy and paste with a bit of paraphrasing from other such ads. And photos can be lifted, too. The entire story was one I've heard many times that were real. So, that part is easy peasy to steal

Funny thing is I received a email today supposedly from Amazon that they needed to verify my mailing address for my purchase of a 1500 apple iPad I didn't respond to the email I went straight to Amazon and got the number to speak to a human large undertaking lol they told me it was a scam and nothing shows on my account I had them freeze my account for 30 days. Sad this world has such people in it glad you too are safe. Thanks for doing this video everyone should be informed.

I love the way you shared your steps in this process. While I also tend to be suspicious- there are others who only see the good out there and bc of that get scammed. Once I called someone like this back and shamed them. “What would your mother or grandmother say about you scamming people like them.? They hung up. 😕

Crazy, I'm having financial problems big time. I was living in my 21 year old car which is falling apart. Living on SS is really, really hard. I would have loved something to live in but I too would be very skeptical and afraid when someone wants to give something to you for free.❤

The scammers are getting out of hand, I live in PA and have received 2 text messages telling me I have unpaid PA toll and to go to a link and pay the toll of $$ or other matters will have to be enforced!! Ummm I don't own a car or anything in my name! So right away I knew it was a scam and a few weeks later it was in the news about the scammers and got another text, I screenshot it and put it on ky Facebook for others to see!! And reported it!! Wonder how long before they send me another one!!

I did get offered a simular scam. It was when I was desperately looking for my first rv & someone was offering it to me for free if I only paid for shipping bec they felt sorry for me lol I also found the exact one on a dif website for a lot of money. But Like u tho I new it was a scam & didn't get caught. Thanks for putting this video out there to warn others. & your right , there's nothing u can do abt it.

Don't bother calling back. They can use that call to rip you off. Best advice is use items you already have; example the number on the back of your credit card, to verify everything. I get the frustration. I also understand why it is almost impossible for law enforcement to do anything though.
My boyfriend got a call recently. The man told him he had to pay $$$ in order to avoid going to jail. However the drop points for the payment were ridiculous. I was sitting next to my boyfriend during this phone call, and I spoke up and said I was recording this phone call. He became loud and cussing me, and then he hung up.

I'm so jaded in my old age that I don't trust much of anything. It's hard when it's an offer you'd love to have, but it's so easy to trace cell phone numbers. I'd probably be tempted to find a pay phone to make the call or use the library computer to send an email. I'm glad you talked about this. Warning stories are good teachers. ☮️

I never answer a call from a number i don't know. My email has several scams every week. About 10-12 years ago when only your friends and family were just about your only callers, this guy called and said he was from Microsoft and he needed me to go to my computer and he wanted me to share my screen so he could fix a major problem. After he wouldn't be more specific I hung up. Next week, he called again from a different number and I said no I'm not speaking to you. The next week, I'm in the grocery store and my number is displayed as calling me. Puzzled I answered and it was him again! He asked me a question and I said why? He explained and I said why? Every question or comment he made I said why? After 20 or so why's he was so mad he hung up and never called back!! Thanks for sharing your story and I always enjoy your channel!😊

Instagram is part of the Facebook scam network. My newish account with only a few pics got two offers to license pics in the same evening right on top of each other. I messaged the first person back and went through their speil. There was a low probability of a real request, my Flickr account gets those occasionally, but everytime the most I'll get is a reference, no dinero. Sure enough, the "artist" wanted to pay $$$ to use my photo as the basis for a painting and needed money for supplies to complete the deal. Nice try, at least they left me alone when I called them on it. The second one I decided to have some fun with. I messaged them back that the photo they were trying to buy was not available due to licensing issues, which happened to be true - you can't sell photos from East Jesus in Slab City without their permission. They just came back to me with another random photo and asked if they could buy that one. Lazy scammers!

And no, your loved one is not in a hospital or jail, and yes that camper/RV / car price is too good to be true. Oh, and make sure to go to the three credit bureaus and lock your credit after that huge background check data broker information security breach, including SSNs, a few months ago that we're just now learning about (and the many we never hear about). I'm starting to think this interwebs thing may not always be so wonderful 🤷♂️
I was scammed recently by a local car wash who presented me with a deal for a month of washes for one price. They didn’t tell me it was a monthly charge for a membership. Only said car washing for one month. To my surprise they charged my account for a membership! Monthly! Scammed so many people! Can’t get it cancelled, no phone number or way to stop it! So awful they get away with this!

Oh, and make sure to go to the three credit bureaus and lock your credit after that huge background check data broker information security breach, including SSNs, a few months ago that we're just now learning about (and the many we never hear about).

I was scammed recently by a local car wash who presented me with a deal for a month of washes for one price. They didn’t tell me it was a monthly charge for a membership. Only said car washing for one month. To my surprise they charged my account for a membership! Monthly! Scammed so many people! Can’t get it cancelled, no phone number or way to stop it! So awful they get away with this!
