Thanks so much. I did want to note that when I went to check if it worked it didnt show up. However when I tested on another machine after uploading it was working. So my browser must have saved (as internet memory or cookies) the old image and wasnt showing it.
Im no expert to explain why it didnt show up but it works !!!!!! Thanks

You need it on every page. Usually you'd make a page into a template then apply it to every other page. That way you only do it once and if you have to make a change to the template it applies it to all your other pages.

Save as .BPM go to the file and rename to favicon.ICO, I did that and it worked.

WORKING FOR EACH BROWSER --- creater a blogger account (if not already). then, in a new post, upload your .ico. view your blog, where you will see the post of your .ico. right click on the image, and choose 'copy image url' (chrome). paste that after href= in your code. DONE!

It does work on Chrome and Safari it's just that both of them have the favicon on the left of the tab. in firefox it shows at the adress (bookmark) and tab aswell.

@nebrokibonek then you make one :) a HTML-sheet should have a head and body tag inside the html tag.

quick tip: you cannot name the favicon.ico file as anything else (eg, fav.ico). It also didn't work for me when i put it in as "favicon.icon." I had to use .ico.

Work's for me, although make sure you name you favicon as favicon.ico, I tried to use a different name and it didn't work, but works if you name it favicon.ico

Is there a way to make a FAVACON without using an '.ico" file? Like maybe, using .jpg or .gif etc? I cant make .ico files in my Photoshop. :(

Thanks for the video. I was able to get my favicon to appear. QUESTION: I was trying to change my favicon. I deleted my old favicon.ico file in my site folder, as well as the html code that made it appear. I created a new favicon in Photoshop, and no matter where I save the .ico file to, or how I insert it into my site's folder, it always shows up as the old favicon that I've deleted. Does anyone know what's up with that?
