So glad to see a new video. Thanks for all the videos. You have been a great help in me getting back into solo roleplaying. Loved reading through the Night of Blood adventure you uploaded.

Hello Matthew! I’m glad too to upload a new one. It’s been too long. This video is a recap of that writeup, but it may still have some interesting ideas about flavorful ways to use Mythic.
Thank you for your kind words and see you around!

Great to see a new vid. I'd like to see you actually play out a few scenes from a module though. Show, not tell. 👍

As I said on the video, I’m really considering it, though I’m doubtful on how to do it on the technical side. I guess I should have more than one camera to show my table / dice rolls as well as my face (since I don’t find it too exciting to show how I actually play on my computer), but I don’t have the required equipment to do so, yet. I’l definitely ponder it, though, as it’s something I’d love to do.

i was trying to make sense of the guide you wrote and was a bit confused....
i get identifying all the different elements in a scene but are you supposed to assign a warp factor to each one and then roll a check? also, for the plot points, are you supposed to add more plot points if there are less than five in a scene? Like if there are only two, then you add three?

thank you so much for sharing your expertise in these videos!
i do have a question though- you mentioned that your characters had a narratively satisfying/important conversation during one scene; does this mean that you play out dialogue in solo gaming? if so, i'd be curious to know how you handle these situations, since mythic helps with mechanics, story building and character intentions, but the actual dialogue that a real GM would ingage their players in seems to be a whole different animal to me. it's the “me, talking to myself as every character“ thing that trips me up.
    thanks again for your time!

Hello! I'll probably go over that in a video in the future, because I'm gearing up to play Descent Into Avernus and that's gonna have lots of dialogue. But, my main approach is use UNE, Detail Checks and Fate Checks.

I can see forbidden lands in there. That game is almost made with soloing and grouping in mind. They are so accomodating.

Indeed it is! I actually reread it some days ago to see the travel rules and I rediscovered how good it is.

Great video! Curious, when you roll a date check and find the scene is interrupt or altered, do you try to make the scene end in such a way that you can pick up the script at the next scene or do you just throw the script out at that point and trust mythic? Thanks

Thank you for your kind words! Regarding the derailment of the module, I’d say it’s a similar decision to when you’re GMing a module for your friends. If their decisions launch them into completely unknown parts of the module, do you homebrew that part or do you nudge them back to the written parts? That sort of GMing decisions must exist here too and, given you’re the only player, it’s something you have to decide if you want to do or not. I’d personally have as a general guideline this: follow new Mythic threads if they seem interesting and enrich the story, prune/ignore new threads if they seem to drag you away from the story or are uninteresting, keeping in mind to have some clue in your new scenes that will guide you back to the module. I hope that helps!
