Organic Samples' SOLO OPERA

- When Tiger the Frog got Organic Samples' solo vocal library for Kontakt, SOLO OPERA, he couldn't believe how good it was: beautiful tone, legato to die for, super easy to play. He had rarely been so delighted with a piece of music software. So he did a video. It didn't go really great, so he has done this video, which is kind of a video that uses the video.
While Tiger loved SOLO OPERA, he doubted he would ever find a use to put it into a song. But he did, put it into a weird Spaghetti Western/Rock thing and he plays an excerpt here.
SOLO OPERA, and all Organic Samples libraries can now be found at Orchestral Tools.

The Cowboy Way almost made my my ears tremble! Thanks, Tiger...
Brilliant video, thank you for sharing your knowledge with us
Thank you.
Great stuff, Reid. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks, Bob.
I almost cried, and not just 'cause the song tugs the heart strings. I mean, the vocalist and library itself...beautiful. I've heard and seen hundreds of libraries, and it has to be among my top 15, easily. And certainly in top 3 vocalist libraries. Cheers!
I agree. I get moved every time I load this up. I can't believe that it can do what it does. My theory is that it is one thing to be a wonderful singer and another thing to be somebody who has the chops to record a legato library. It's a very specific skill, and young Ekaterina Mamysheva has it. That's why I think extremely well-trained singers (who tend to be opera) can pull off the feat. And then you combine it with a talented developer like Maxime Luft and you have a classic. And it's work like this that led Orchestral Tools to hire Maxime. Thanks for writing, Jay.
Thankyou so much! This had completely passed me by! I wish Bela D Media would add legato patches - well, if they could get close to this quality!
Well, Bela D does a lot of things well. But solo vocal libraries are extremely hard to do well. My favorites are this one, Audio Imperia's Jaeger, and Auddict's Celestial Voices: Calypso.
This sounds seriously awesome !
Thank you.
It is really a great library.
I think you might have just invented a new genre - "operatic western". Thanks for this video!
Thank you! But I was just copying all the operatic music in Ennio Morricone's western scores. If you don't know those, you might want to start with this.... ua-cam.com/video/CdL__zuZvpA/v-deo.html
Thank you❣ I appreciate you sharing the quality of this software and your compositions. This is the type of quality sounding software that I'm searching for. I am also looking for high quality, true organic recorded natural sounds to blend in.
Thank you! I think that Solo Opera is the best legato you can get in a solo female virtual instrument, with Jaeger a close second. I realize that not everyone wants an operatic voice. I didn’t even want one myself, to be honest. I was buying Organic Samples Ethnic vocal library and this was offered at a low price during the checkout. Truly an impulse buy. But I’m so glad that I got it. If you don’t have it already, I recommend Majestic Horn, which is only 2 euros on the Orchestral Tools website.
At 3:30 in your demo what strings are you using? Thanks for the video. Do you have any similar vocal recommendations.
I didn't play the orchestral music. I just used something from UA-cam. It's listed at the end of the video. For solo vocals, I always used to recommend Audio Imperia's Jaeger with Merethe Solrvedt, but AI seems to have stopped selling the vocal library separately--hopefully they will put it on sale again. I also like Auddict's Celestial Voices Calypso. Before you buy a vocal library, see if the demo is always drowned in reverb, as this is a good way to disguise a weak legato.
@@ReidRosefelt Thanks. Yes I've also noticed that some orchestral libraries have built-in reverb and you're stuck with it on the samples. Majestica by 8Dio is an example. They have a new one out; maybe they fixed it.
@@unknownfilmmaker777 It isn't so much that the reverb is built-in. Most vocal libraries allow you to turn it off. It's just the demos that don't reveal the weaknesses of the library.
@@ReidRosefelt Got it, thanks.
Hey Tiger! Wonderful. I only have one question? So, now what?
I guess we'll just begin again
Is there a VST solo vocal that could replicate something like the intro here?: ua-cam.com/video/vXBoifnUhwk/v-deo.html
I have some ideas for this and will have an answer in a few days.
One library you might look into is Ethera Intimate Vocals (Zero-G). The developer has a video on how to make Celtic Vocals with it. ua-cam.com/video/RV98yqul2Ag/v-deo.html If you want it, you should know that Ethera libraries are frequently discounted. A free library worth checking out is Auddict's Ceres. I'm not sure if this still works, but you can try this link. www.auddict.com/celestial-voices-ceres Good luck!
