My buddy and I started out a long time ago reading vernier scales with a loupe on the instrument and pulling chain. We were verrrry accurate. I remember those big EDMs when they came out that mounted on top of the instrument. We rented our first theodolite and EDM for a big job. Earth-changing at the time. Little did we know we'd be working from space today... My buddy and I are still surveying, best job in the world.
I got very queezy watching you casually handling those precision theodolites. No mention of separate EDM's on top of the theodolite BEFORE automatic data collection. You had to actually write the value displayed on the EDM into a PAPER field book. Fun times.
How about the T0, T1 (with a bubble for vertical angles) T1A, T16, Wild RDS Self-Reducing Tacheometer, I have used all of these. Also not mentioned is the extremely rare T3 and T4 for celestial observation. One thing I noticed with the older equipment was the vastly superior optics on the wild equipment vs other manufacturers at the time. Wild also made what I believe were considered the best in the world microscopes
Surveying is most impotent for peoples in Earth. Survey history is more attractive for all surveyor. I am interested to know ancient history of survey. When time theodolite, total station, level machine. Thank you brother for this video
Leica - made in Switzerland by incredible engineers destroyed In England by middle management. Their software contains so many bugs and the company comes across as so greedy it destroys all the good work the engineers do.

My favourite and most reliable theodolite. Wild T2.
Use this rather than a total station

Hello. I wonder if you are interested in our brand, PozStar RTK.

That has not been my experience. Perhaps, you might seek a profession more suitable to your abilities?
